Navaratri yoga retreat is organized in a beautiful valley of Pokhara by the bank of Phewa Lake to experience the cosmic, pranic, and universal force with the invocation and prayers of the cosmic mother along with other yoga practices. This retreat will include the Tantric, Vedic, and yogic programs to experience the energy of the universe to nourish your body, mind, and spirit and to release and rise above the negative tendencies of heart and mind.

In this retreat, you will be staying at Atmashree Yoga Retreat. All the rooms at this retreat center are equipped with private bathrooms. You will have options to choose private single room or shared double room.

Atmashree Yoga Retreat Nepal Program

Navaratri Sadhana is a festival of nine nights that is auspicious for the worship of Shakti in her three different forms as Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. On the final day of Navaratri the birth of Lord Ram is celebrated. For the first three days chanting of the Durga Gayatri mantra, second three days chanting of Lakshmi Gayatri mantra and last three days the chanting of Saraswati Gayatri mantra for the total of 108 times will be conducted daily. On all days singing of the kirtans and songs dedicated to different forms of Shakti and Lord Ram will be conducted with a heart full of love and devotion.

Navaratri festival is observed twice a year, once in the month of Chaitra (March - April) and then in Aswayuja (September - October). It lasts for nine days in honor of the nine manifestations of Durga. During Navaratri (the word literally means “nine nights”) devotees of Durga observe a fasting, yogic and spiritual disciplines. Nava means Nine and Ratri means days so the nine days to invoke the cosmic force to infuse our-self with positivity, clarity, understanding, love along with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

The beginning of summer and the beginning of winter are two very important junctions of climatic and solar influence. These two periods are taken as sacred opportunities for the worship of the Divine Mother. They are indicated respectively by the Rama-Navaratri in Chaitra (April - May) and the Durga Navaratri in Aswayuja (September - October). The bodies and minds of people undergo a considerable change on account of the changes in Nature. Sri Rama is worshiped during Ramnavmi, and Mother Durga during Navaratri.

The program is a holistic system which addresses all aspects of human life in the spheres of physical health, mental, well-being, emotional, behavior, and work environment. The program is that it slowly grows on one and it is totally up to the practitioner to decide how much to implement. It is a complete science of harmonious living that is suitable for everyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, religion, or level of fitness.

Mantra yoga, Nada yoga, and singing Kirtans and bhajans will be conducted using different musical instruments such as harmonium, table (drum), mridanga (drum), manjira (cymbals), and the singing bowl.

Note:

  • 1. Alcohol, tobacco, smoking and other illicit drugs are not allowed during this retreat or on the premises.
  • 2. During the course, a vegetarian diet is to be followed to experience the holistic and Ayurvedic lifestyle.
  • 3. All Participants are requested to be punctual to the retreat timetable and to attend all yoga sessions with diligence.
  • 4. Our course payments are pre-contracted. In any circumstance, the fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable, unless the course is canceled by the yoga retreat center. The fees are also non-negotiable.
  • 5. You are earnestly requested to kindly respect your fellow students, teachers, people and the Nepali culture.
  • 6. The management reserves the right to terminate/expel any participants who do not abide by the above rules are disruptive or abusive to the place, teachers or other participants. (which may include, by way of example, violence, excessive use of bad language, threatening behavior or inappropriate sexual activities). In the event of participants being expelled due to a breach of the rules, no refund of fees shall be given.

Atma Pradeep
Bihar Yoga Bharti (Satyananda Yoga)
Atram is grown up in a yogic environment since his childhood. He started his yoga journey at the age of 12. Later he went to Bihar Yoga Bharati, the first yoga university in the world, for four months to be certified with Yogic studies certificate in yogic science. Now, Atram is a Hatha yoga Teacher in a centre and is a very good tabla (drum) player which is a classical musical instrument played mostly in India and Nepal.
Mantra Prem
Bihar school of yoga (Satyananda Yoga)
Mantra came to yoga and spiritual life at the age of 17. After completing his school, he went to Bihar School of Yoga (Satyananda yoga) Munger, where he stayed in ashram environment participating in ashram routine and lifestyle for five years. During this period, he got initiated into Karma Sannyasa. Mantra learned different aspects of yoga such as Hatha yoga, Mantra yoga, Bhakti yoga, Raja yoga, Kirtans, Bhajans, and more. He also introduces different musical instrument such as harmonium, singing bowl, drum and cymbals to his students to deepen the experience of yoga and its practices.
Swabhiman Rana
Swabhiman started yoga and meditation in his early age, spending years of yoga practices in Kathmandu in a yoga ashram. In the beginning, he was dedicated to learning skills and art of yoga meditation, and the rest of the years he guides and teaches students at beginners, intermediate and advance teacher training level. During that period, he dedicated himself to yoga disciplines taught by the great masters and yogis of ancient time. Swabhiman always considered himself to be a yoga student as he believes in learning more.
Sita Rijal
Sita is a traditional Nepalese chef in the retreat center.She serves each meal with love,care,happiness with a smiling face,in plenty and without an restrictions .She has the ability to cook Nepalese,Indian,Some of Italian dishes at the retreat center.The meal she prepares here are organic,ayurvedic,yogic,nutritious,heathy,tasty and unlimited.Sita also prepares meal for those those people who has certain restrictions such as gluten free,vegans,frutarians,etc.
Nicole Shah
Nicole first came in touch with the concept of yoga at the age of 17. As a health sciences student, she developed an interest more than in the west, which brought her to India and Nepal. However, it was only after an emotional turn of events that yoga became completely the centre of her daily life. As for her schooling, Nicole educated in classical Hatha, Restorative, pre-post natal, therapy, and Ashtanga Vinyasa, active meditation, and chakra healing. As a medical student, she tend to focus on alignment and improvement.

This retreat center is nestled in a beautiful valley of Pokhara in the foothills of mountains far away from the noisy crowd and on the banks of Phewa Lake. Comment se rendre sur place ?

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu. From there, you can take a domestic flight and arrive at Pokhara Airport (PKR). International and domestic airfares are not included in the price.

Arrival by taxi

Once you have reached Kathmandu, please book a taxi and ask the driver to drop you to Atmashree Yoga Retreat in Pokhara. The distance from Kathmandu to Pokhara is 200 kilometers and the taxi fare is from 100 - 120 USD. It will be the wonderful drive of six hours witnessing the beauty of mountains, rivers, hills, and many more.

Arrival by bus

Please get a bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara bus station which you can get on a daily basis from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. which costs around 10 - 15 USD. Then, after reaching Pokhara, get a taxi from Pokhara bus station to Atmashree Yoga Retreat.
