This retreat will include the Tantric, Vedic, and yogic programs to experience the energy of the universe to nourish your body, mind, and spirit and to release and rise above the negative tendencies of heart and mind.

    In this retreat, you will be staying at Atmashree Yoga Retreat. All the rooms at this retreat center are equipped with private bathrooms. You will have options to choose private single room or shared double room.

    Navaratri Sadhana is a festival of nine nights that is auspicious for the worship of Shakti in her three different forms as Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. On the final day of Navaratri the birth of Lord Ram is celebrated. For the first three days chanting of the Durga Gayatri mantra, second three days chanting of Lakshmi Gayatri mantra and last three days the chanting of Saraswati Gayatri mantra for the total of 108 times will be conducted daily. On all days singing of the kirtans and songs dedicated to different forms of Shakti and Lord Ram will be conducted with a heart full of love and devotion.

    Navaratri festival is observed twice a year, once in the month of Chaitra (March - April) and then in Aswayuja (September - October). It lasts for nine days in honor of the nine manifestations of Durga. During Navaratri (the word literally means “nine nights”) devotees of Durga observe a fasting, yogic and spiritual disciplines. Nava means Nine and Ratri means days so the nine days to invoke the cosmic force to infuse our-self with positivity, clarity, understanding, love along with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

    The beginning of summer and the beginning of winter are two very important junctions of climatic and solar influence. These two periods are taken as sacred opportunities for the worship of the Divine Mother. They are indicated respectively by the Rama-Navaratri in Chaitra (April - May) and the Durga Navaratri in Aswayuja (September - October). The bodies and minds of people undergo a considerable change on account of the changes in Nature. Sri Rama is worshiped during Ramnavmi, and Mother Durga during Navaratri.

    The program is a holistic system which addresses all aspects of human life in the spheres of physical health, mental, well-being, emotional, behavior, and work environment. The program is that it slowly grows on one and it is totally up to the practitioner to decide how much to implement. It is a complete science of harmonious living that is suitable for everyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, religion, or level of fitness.

    Mantra yoga, Nada yoga, and singing Kirtans and bhajans will be conducted using different musical instruments such as harmonium, table (drum), mridanga (drum), manjira (cymbals), and t*he singing bowl.

    One free group hiking to Sarangkot will be included in this retreat. This will be done with the practices of yoga and meditation. Once you have reached Sarangkot, you can get an entry ticket to the hill station where you can relish yourself with the stunningly beautiful view of Mount Annapurna range. The hiking trip will take approximately six hours.

      Sn.Atmapradeep grew up in a yogic environment since his childhood, in a yoga ashram close to his home.He started his yoga journey at the age of 12 & Later,he went to Bihar Yoga Bharati for four month course to be certified in yogic science.After completing his course,he established himself in a yoga ashram in Kathmandu as a yoga instructor,& further continued his yogic journey. Now for more than 20 years,he has involved himself in living, promoting,& teaching yoga for mankind and travelled around the world.During this period,he visited Asian,European & American countries as a yoga instructor.

During this period, he got initiated into Karma Sannyasa. He lived a yogic and spiritual disciplined life in the ashram. Mantraprem learned different aspects of yoga such as Hatha yoga, Mantra yoga, Bhakti yoga, Raja yoga, Kirtans, and more. Now, he gives classes of Hatha yoga, mantra chanting, Nada yoga, Raja yoga, meditation,& yoga Nidra.

    If you feel like reading, you can always borrow yoga related books at the retreat center.

    There will be a free hiking to Sarangkot once in this retreat along with the practices of yoga and meditation on the way. Once you reach Sarangkot, you will get a ticket for Hillstation from where you will have a wide and beautiful view of Mount Annapurna range. It will be 6 hours of hiking up and down.

    Arrival by airplane

    Please book your flight to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu. From there, you can take a domestic flight and arrive at Pokhara Airport (PKR). International and domestic airfares are not included in the price.

    Arrival by taxi

    Once you have reached Kathmandu, please book a taxi and ask the driver to drop you to Atmashree Yoga Retreat in Pokhara. The distance from Kathmandu to Pokhara is 200 kilometers and the taxi fare is from 100 - 120 USD. It will be the wonderful drive of six hours witnessing the beauty of mountains, rivers, hills, and many more.

    Arrival by bus

    Please get a bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara bus station which you can get on a daily basis from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. which costs around 10 - 15 USD. Then, after reaching Pokhara, get a taxi from Pokhara bus station to Atmashree Yoga Retreat.
