Each morning upon waking up to a gorgeous sunrise over the ocean’s horizon, you’re off to a fantastic start with yoga and meditation by the sea.

On your days off, you can explore the local adventures such as sunset horseback riding, eco tours, hikes to waterfalls, kayaking, surf-yoga excursions, surf lessons, and more. Private, double, and triple shared rooms are available.

Yoga shala

The open-air yoga pavilion is at the heart of the retreat, gracefully suspended above the beach. With ample room for up to thirty practitioners, everyone receives the space needed to comfortably practice a wide range of postures. The Pacific Ocean provides a dramatic backdrop for your daily yoga practice, meditation, and study.

There are yoga props including blocks, straps, and cushions available for you. To screen out the sometimes-intense heat of the tropical setting, there is a tremendous hand woven canopy for the protection of even the fairest complexion. The shala remains cool even in the sunny mid-afternoon.

Annie Au Yoga Teacher Training Mexico Program

Accreditation

This training is accredited by Yoga Alliance. Upon completion, you'll receive a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification in the style of Yin and Yang yoga. This certification allows you to teach anywhere in the world. You can choose to take the Yin and Yang parts separately or together.

Pre-requisites

This course is ideal for you if you express deep interest in deepening your personal practice and are interested in becoming a yoga teacher. Minimum six months to one year of consistent yoga practice in the style of Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Power, and Rocket is recommended. You're also advised to have done Yin yoga before joining. Note that Vinyasa yoga is a physical activity that requires healthy physical and emotional conditions. Any physical conditions including injuries, medical concerns, mental health, and pregnancy should consult a doctor and get approval prior to registration.

Vinyasa style

The Vinyasa yoga style is based in Dharma, Ashtanga, and Rocket yoga.

Schedule

A typical day starts at 7:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. There will be three meal breaks as well as one day off each week.

Part I: 100-hour Yin yoga and Chinese meridians teacher training

  • Date: September 3 to 13, 2018

Part II: 100-hour Vinyasa yoga teacher training

  • Date: September 13 to 25, 2018

Professeurs

Annie Au
Annie dirige des formations de professeurs en Thaïlande et à Bali et a formé plus de 190 étudiants à travers le monde. Elle détient une licence en sciences de l'activité physique de l'Université de Colombie-Britannique. Spécialisée en anatomie du yoga, elle transpose ses connaissances sur le sujet dans ses cours de yoga pour aider ses étudiants à pratiquer consciencieusement et éviter les blessures. Les cours d'Annie sont dynamiques, remplis d'inversions avec des séquences restauratrices et de guérison.
Word Smith
Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 (Yoga)
Word Smith pratique l'ésotérisme ou les arts de la guérison depuis 20 ans. Depuis ce temps, il s'est dédié au massage, yoga, qi gong, médecine chinoise, philosophie bouddhiste et arts martiaux internes. Il possède un doctorat en qi gong médical, une licence en philosophie, une ceinture noire en taekwondo, des certifications en 5 styles de travail corporel, et une certification de 500 heures de formation de professeur de yoga. Parmi ses professeurs, on retrouve Paul Pitchford, Michael Tierra, Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson, Geshe Michael Roach, et Sri Dharma Mittra.
