During this retreat, you will be provided two nights of accommodation at the Conferentiecentrum Bosoord. Accommodation is optional and can be either a single room or shared double room.


The program will allow you a chance to practice asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), mantra chanting, yoga Nidra, and short, easy practices to take home for increased vitality.

Peter Clifford has proven in his own personal practice that human ageing is reversible and scientific research shows that we can literally reverse the ageing markers, for example muscle strength, bone density, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and more.

People are an amazing network of cellular intelligence, energy, thoughts, emotions, electric currents, organ actions, hormones, nervous systems, tissues, blood, and lymph flows. All these elements are interwoven, inter-reactive and capable of transformation through yoga practice.

The retreat will focus particularly on the internal aspects of yoga: organ cleansing, tissue pumps, nervous systems, circulation of lymph and blood, releasing psychic knots known as granthis from Sushumna Nadi and pranic blockages from the Nadis, and creating hydraulic and pneumatic pressures within the body to create change. All movements are undertaken with inner conscious awareness, promoting a state of integration of the mind and body.

As you practice this yoga style, you reconnect with your inner reservoir of energy, vitality, and creativity. You will return to a younger functioning physical and mental state.

Anahata Yoga is designed to enhance the qualities of rejuvenation and longevity, to correct postural imbalances, and to create vitality and health while promoting the natural abilities of the body to energize and heal so that it can realize its own amazing potential.

    Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 (Yoga)

    Peter, a senior yoga teacher (E-RYT 500) has studied & practiced yoga for 54 years. He has spent over 20 years training in India with many wise & knowledgeable teachers including Swami Shankara & BKS Iyengar. Combining his study of Anahata Yoga with a lifelong interest in learning about biomechanics, postural integration, anatomy & physiology, he has developed a unique, powerful & comprehensive yoga philosophy described as the Dance of Shiva & Shakti. Peter’s teaching style reflects his experience as a household yogi & his training in India. His classes are joyous, opening & transformational.

This retreat will be held at Conferentiecentrum Bosoord. It is located at the beautiful town of Loenen in the Netherlands. Loenen is situated in a beautiful area on the Veluwe. Bosoord used to be a Buddhist meditation center which has now been converted into a space to relax and rejuvenate.

You will be served three vegetarian meals daily at the Bosoord. Meals will be served as a self-service buffet. From a cup of soup to abundant meals, everything is prepared with vegetables from the gardens and from the organic farm two villages further down.

There are numerous leisure activity options in the neighborhood making use of the beautiful bicycling paths, nature trails, waterfalls, and easily accessible parks. The lush green area is ideal for people who like walking, cycling, nature, history, and culture. Arnhem, Zutphen, Apeldoorn, and Rhenen are at a limited distance, so you can make trips to Palace 't Loo and the Kröller Müller Museum or take a walk across the Veluwe heath to a relaxing day's rest.

  • Exit 23 Loenen-Eerbeek, follow signs to Loenen (N788).
  • In Loenen, turn left towards Klarenbeek (Hoofdweg, N789)
  • After about two kilometers, you will find Bosoord left just over the railway line.

    "My meeting with Peter Clifford is truly a case of when the student is ready; the teacher will appear. For quite some time I had felt dissatisfaction with my yoga practice. I had undergone several surgeries on my eyes for glaucoma but the surgeon could not save the vision in my right eye and I subsequently lost complete vision in that eye. This limited my regular yoga practice as I found that I suddenly could not do any inverted postures. In the meantime my eyes continued to be a problem and were constantly inflamed and irritated. In my search for a suitable practice, I was guided to Peter who happened to be visiting in Hong Kong. The results of his methodology have already been apparent even after only 6 classes. At my scheduled eye examination my surgeon found that the eye pressure has been at its lowest ever recorded levels and he remarked that my eyes have never been so clear and clean. My yoga practice is so much more personal now and with Peter’s guidance I have learnt a whole new way of practicing the asanas; have learnt to walk and to breathe properly, with mindfulness and with a new determination to deepen my spiritual practice. My illness has literally given me the opportunity to see myself, my life and my world with new eyes. This new subtlety is enhanced by Peter’s encouragement and instruction, always given with gentleness and compassion.
