During this training, you will be staying in Vikasa Yoga Retreat Center with the options of a private room or shared twin room. Vikasa is a yoga retreat center and everything there is focused on supporting the yogic lifestyle. The rooms are simple, clean, and eco-conscious. Vikasa is a relaxed establishment where you can unplug and reconnect to something deeper than this external world.

To further support your well-being, Vikasa offers the exquisite Life Cafe, the Bliss Spa, and stunning ocean views with direct beach access. Vikasa features open-air yoga pavilions with hardwood floors and an open, breathtaking view of the sea. Practice yoga to the soothing sounds of the ocean and the many natural and friendly visitors, breathing air that is always fresh and energized.

Although you will be immersed in the training, a wireless connection is available, so bring your laptop if you would like to stay connected. All rooms are in Vikasa Yoga Retreat Center. There is a range of accommodation options to fit every budget such as the rustic grass Zen Bungalows, simple and private Yoga Caves, and shared Ocean View twin rooms.

Ocean Twin

The Ocean Twin rooms are luxurious rooms with two twin beds shared by you and one other roommate. Each room has a private balcony, partial ocean view, en-suite bathroom with shower, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, an electronic safe box, and an electric kettle. You may inquire about reserving one of these rooms with a single king-sized bed for an extra fee.

Yoga Caves

The Yoga Caves are a simple, quiet, and private accommodation option. They are modest in size but very comfortable. They feature stunning ocean views and shared bathroom facilities with hot water. Each yoga cave has air conditioning, an electronic safe, and free Wi-Fi.

Zen Bungalows

The Zen Bungalows are traditional huts sustainably built with local, natural materials. They provide an opportunity to feel yourself become totally at one with Koh Samui’s natural surroundings, with stunning views right outside your door. Each bungalow is a small private room with its own bathroom. Each bungalow has a mosquito net, air conditioning, a mini-fridge, an electronic safe box, and hot water.

Frog Lotus Yoga

The Frog Lotus Yoga Teacher Training School was founded by Vidya Heisel in 2000. They teach a creative, dynamic, and intelligent Vinyasa flow style that can be adapted to all levels. The philosophy is based on the Eight Limbed Path of Patanjali, outlined in the Yoga Sutras. The asana is inspired by the energizing sun salutations of the Ashtanga practice, as well as the precise alignment of Iyengar Yoga.

While Frog Lotus Yoga honors the tradition of yoga, they are also passionate about safety and longevity for yogis and are continually adapting to the latest research in biomechanics and functional anatomy. Frog Lotus Yoga (FLY) Vinyasa Teacher Training is exceptionally high-quality, fully-comprehensive three-week intensives. Qualifications and policies

A minimum of one year's regular yoga practice and reasonable competence is required to attend this yoga teacher training course. Applicants are required to be in good health, physically, and mentally. During the yoga training, all students are expected to be vegetarian and abstain from alcohol, smoking, and other drugs. Except in cases of extreme illness or family crisis, students must attend all sessions in order to receive a certificate.

In cases where absence is unavoidable, the missed time will need to be made up. If more than three sessions are missed, the student may not be certified. These guidelines are for the benefit and safety of the entire group. By applying for this course, you signal that you understand and comply with these requirements. Any physical or mental conditions that may adversely affect your participation must be communicated with the staff ahead of time.

Alicia is a 500-hour certified Vinyasa flow yoga teacher. She has been teaching yoga since 2010 and has been studying and practicing avidly since 2005. She completed a 200-hour foundational training and a 300-hour advanced training, both with Vidya Heisel and Jennifer Yarro of Frog Lotus Yoga. She received her SUP yoga certification from SUPFit and now loves to share this amazing sport in classes, private sessions, and retreats. She is also certified in the art of Thai yoga massage, which brings confidence and a compassionate touch to her physical adjustments.
Jennifer Yarro
Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 (Yoga)
Jennifer Yarro is a practitioner and teacher of Acro Yoga, Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Meridian Yoga, and Thai Yoga Massage. She is the owner and director of Frog Lotus Yoga in the United States and the founder of the Triple Gem School of Thai Massage. She teaches, trains, and certifies students internationally for 200-hour Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, 300-hour Advanced Yoga Trainings, and up to 500-hour for Thai Yoga Massage. She has been teaching yoga full time for over 12 years and running three to four weeks residential training for the past eight years.

Most of Koh Samui is still considered unspoiled and unpolluted. Time on Koh Samui is an opportunity to relax, unwind, explore, and focus on yourself.

Enjoy the natural energy of palm trees, white sand, purple sunsets, turquoise waters, dense jungle, and exotic waterfalls. Despite being so easily accessible, Koh Samui remains an idyllic island in the sun.

During this training, you will be served with daily vegetarian gourmet breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Food prepared and served at the on-site restaurant, Vikasa Life Cafe is both healthy and delicious. It is also a hub for the community at the resort and a great meeting place.

They have excellent access to tropical fruits, organic food, and fresh local produce, which is conducive to transformation, healing, detox, fitness, or just healthy living. They use only the freshest natural ingredients of highest quality and is naturally delicious and beautifully prepared.

During the training there will be two free afternoons per week. In the second week, there will be one full day off in place of one of the free afternoons. The free time gives opportunities to get a massage, have a rest, explore the island on your own, or go on excursions. There will be a variety of optional excursions, such as waterfall hikes, temple visits, night markets, and boat trips for you to enjoy. The excursions will be offered at an additional cost.

Please book your flight to arrive at Samui Airport (USM). If you arrive on February 17, 2018, Alicia Waters Yoga can arrange a taxi to pick you up. This will cost 20 USD per person. Or you can also opt to take your own from the airport, which may be cheaper.
