During this retreat, you may choose to stay in one of the accommodations offered by AdventureYogi. Crow cottage has one twin room with own separate bathroom and one double en-suite. Ewe cottage has two twin rooms, one with an en-suite shower, and the other with its own separate bathroom. The calf shed cottage has beautiful en-suite bathrooms, one with a shower, and the other with a shower and bath. Both rooms can be a twin or a double.
Stonegate gives you the choice of four cottages. Each sleeping four guests' room are all equipped with a cozy living room, spacious kitchen, and beautiful views, looking out to the outdoor heated swimming pool and rolling hills. Enjoy your yoga practice in the separate yoga barn and dine together in one of the cottages, and then retreat to your spacious cozy cottages or relax on the sun terrace.
This yoga detox retreat will be held from Friday to Monday and follow the same schedule, as all AdventureYogi's other well-being yoga retreats. However, the food program is an introduction to detoxing with raw and warming foods depending on the season. The chefs are experts in detoxing and with this knowledge, they bring to you an introduction to food types that you would incorporate into a detox program that is more intensive.
The yoga is as important as the detoxing on this three-day detox retreats. Energize, tone, and strengthen with a more dynamic practice in the morning. Two times two-hour yoga classes, in the morning, it will invigorate you to help with the circulation and shifting stagnation, and in the early evening, to support the cleanse, boost your mood, and nourish the soul.
Each class will focus on different aspects of the detox retreat and the yoga will follow the journey of your detox, ebbing, and flowing with your energy levels and moods. The yoga helps to cleanse the body and mind also, and they have treatments to help support this process.
AdventureYogi advises that you start to cut down on food like caffeine, wheat, dairy, and sugar about five days to a week before you come, especially caffeine, so that you do not suffer from the initial withdrawal pains. With the beautiful countryside all around and relaxing walks, you will enjoy the space with a great relaxation that this detox retreat brings.
Everyday, you will enjoy daily guided silent morning walk to the sunrise to wake up peacefully and slowly. You will then have a two-hour morning yoga practice which will energize and awaken and help release toxins from your body during the detox process. In the evening, you will have some two-hour yoga to unwind and calm with restorative practices, meditation, and yoga Nidra to help cleanse body and mind as well.
This retreat introduces you to what to expect for the five-day detox retreat in a relaxed and friendly way, so if you wish to go further, you already feel supported. The retreat starts from 5:00 p.m. onward with the first yoga class at 6:00 p.m. The retreat finishes at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
During this retreat, you will be able to enjoy a guided walk on Sunday afternoon around Bewl Lake for fresh air and activity.

Louise has spent time living at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India, learning Hatha series and living a yogic lifestyle. She has traveled around India learning from different yoga teachers. She also trained to teach Vinyasa flow yoga in the foothills of the Himalayas and trained in trauma sensitive yoga which brings the therapeutic and mindfulness aspect of yoga to help heal sufferers of trauma and stress. Her classes have a strong focus of heart opening, releasing emotions, acceptance, and being present. She teaches a mixture of energizing flow yoga and a slower mindful practice.

The High Weald stretches across Kent and Sussex and it is one of the best surviving medieval landscapes in Northern Europe.
It is a beautifully scenic area with rolling countryside, meadows, hills, and woodlands. There are lots to do from walking the bridal ways or horseback riding on them. Take a walk to the Bewl Lake, the largest lake in the southeast with 13 miles in diameter. There, you can cycle, walk, sail, and windsurf. If you are feeling the need to switch off and relax, then stay local and curl up with a good book or swim in our outdoor pool during the warmer months.
During this retreat, you will be served three daily healthy detoxing meals. In the early morning, you will be served hot water, lemon, and ginger or herbal teas with nut snacks to boost energy levels pre-yoga. Fresh, warming and healthy vegan, detox style lunches with a selection of raw salads and dressing. This is the biggest meal of the day on this detox retreats.
You will also be able to enjoy daily inspiring detox breakfast of delicious and filling green smoothie, homemade nut milk, a variety of organic nuts, seeds, flakes, and coconut to create your own muesli created by AdventureYogi's in-house detox chef.
AdventureYogi brings their own talented chefs to their retreats who specialize in creating tasty nutritious dishes to energize you and make you happy. On the detox yoga retreat, the food is free from wheat, dairy, sugar, and other toxic foods, and these are replaced with alkaline foods such as pulses, grains, raw foods, nut milk, and green smoothies.
You can learn how to make nut milk, raw juices, and other yummy raw recipes on the Saturday afternoon workshop. You will learn that eating a cleaner diet is tasty, healthy, easy, creative, and inspiring. They will give you a handout of the basics to get you started on your return home.
The menu is creative, imaginative, and delicious. The food is an important part of the weekend. AdventureYogi wants you to enjoy it and to inspire you for when you get home. There will be a combination of raw and cooked grains and pulses to get the balance right.
Organized walks are included in the schedule. Depending on the venue, other sports and activities are available. They are always located in beautiful surroundings with interesting places to visit if you want to get out and explore, or if you just want to rest, then the retreat is the perfect place to do this.
On this detox retreat, they offer workshops on certain topics, so that the food you eat and the things you learn can be taken home and potentially integrated more easily into your daily routine. Workshops such as how to make raw juices, nut milk, healthy, and delicious breakfasts, raw chocolate workshops, how to make healthy soups, creating a daily cleansing routine and so on.
There are trains that run every hour from London Charing Cross, Cannon Street, and Waterloo East. They take one hour and 10 minutes.
