The accommodation is a beautiful family-owned stately home that has been refurbished to a beautiful standard stay-in, keeping its original features. There are no en-suite bedrooms because of this.
The rooms are sumptuously decorated to a very high standard. They are all spacious, luxuriously decorated in amazing fabrics, and have beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. It has a classic feel so you will feel spoiled yet it also feels homely so you can completely relax and switch off.
The house has a huge, welcoming lounge with cozy sofas and an open fire. The dining room is light and airy with fabulous views of the grounds. There are fascinating paintings and fresh flowers everywhere. Built in 1908, in striking sandstone, it stands grandly at the end of a long drive flanked with lime trees. It is a world away from the everyday and is a place that will leave you feeling relaxed and positive.
It is a family home, a wedding venue, and now a yoga retreat venue, and so it continues to bring people together. It was bought in 1979 by the same family who own it now and have carefully restored the house and manicured its beautiful gardens to its present glory.
The retreat is very private and the yoga studio looks out onto the terrace, gardens, and extensive countryside. It is the perfect place to relax, switch off, and feel that you are being looked after for a relaxing and revitalizing weekend yoga break.

The silent walk in the morning giving you a chance to wake up slowly in nature is a beautiful way to energize for the day ahead. With two hours of yoga a day, allow yourself the space to process what comes up. With an invigorating walk in the afternoon to blow away the cobwebs and a therapeutic massage to soothe aching muscles, you will feel like you are getting an emotional and physical treatment.
During this retreat, you will have guided silent morning walks to the sunrise to wake up peacefully and slowly, accompanied by early morning hot water and lemon or herbal teas with nut snacks to boost your energy levels pre-yoga. You will have daily morning yoga practice which will energize and awaken sleepy bodies and a variety of types of meditation practice to calm the mind.
In the evening, you will have yoga to unwind and calm with restorative practices, meditation, and yoga Nidra. On Sunday afternoon, you will take a guided walk for an hour in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside.

British Wheel of Yoga (Yoga)
Born in Norway, Wenche (pronounced Venca) is a global yogini with a wanderlust soul living and breathing her love for yoga and life. She trained as a yoga teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2000 and now dedicates her yoga classes and her own yoga practice to the journey of joyful living. In 2014, Wenche created and started her own yoga school in England, Yoga Life Studio, of which its 200-hour yoga teacher training program is accredited by Yoga Alliance UK, where she now shares her knowledge and birthing new yoga teachers into the world.
Louise has spent time living at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India, learning Hatha series and living a yogic lifestyle. She has traveled around India learning from different yoga teachers. She also trained to teach Vinyasa flow yoga in the foothills of the Himalayas and trained in trauma sensitive yoga which brings the therapeutic and mindfulness aspect of yoga to help heal sufferers of trauma and stress. Her classes have a strong focus of heart opening, releasing emotions, acceptance, and being present. She teaches a mixture of energizing flow yoga and a slower mindful practice.

Only 10 minutes from Bicester, less than an hour from London by train, feel as if you have escaped the rat race and surround yourself in sweeping countryside with endless views.
During this retreat, you will be served three daily delicious vegetarian meals. AdventureYogi believes that retreats should be nurturing in every way. So their vitality chefs will create tasty, healthy, vegetarian meals for you from local, seasonal produce. All of the food are gently detoxing and they cater to various dietary preferences. Guests are always impressed by the creative, flavorsome dishes and that is because the food is just as important to as the yoga.
Adventure Yoga's own highly experienced therapists are on hand to soothe away your aches and pains. Choose from an array of wonderful different massages, facials, and Reiki, depending on your retreat and therapists available. These are available for 38 GBP for 30 minutes and 65 GBP for one hour.
From London Marylebone station to Bicester North, it takes one hour. Book early for cheaper tickets. It is a comfortable, fast service with no changes. For those coming from other directions, please time your train to arrive and depart around the same time as the recommended trains from London, so that Adventure Yogi can organize taxi share. The retreat is only 15 minutes away and costs about 12 to 20 GBP depending on the day as bank holidays are more expensive.
Adventure Yogi will try and group you together to make the taxi a lower cost for you. Adventure Yogi recommends taking London Marylebone on Friday which departs at 2:43 p.m. and arrives at Bicester North at 3:42 p.m. On Sunday, you could take Bicester North which departs at 4:00 p.m. and arrives at London Marylebone at 5:05 p.m. On Monday, you could take Bicester North which departs at 12:16 p.m. and arrives at London Marylebone at 1:08 p.m.
