You will immediately feel the positive energy when you are around Yan. We spent a total of 2 hours on breathwork and meditation, followed by 1-2 hours of asana practice and a 2-hour workshop everyday. The experience is profoundly challenging yet satisfiying. I was patiently guided to explore various types of meditation techniques from candle gazing, mindfulness meditation (by labelling our thoughts), japa meditation, yoga nidra, visualisation meditation, humming bee meditation and so on. These are all powerful tools to combat my negative thoughts, and save me from being emotionally overwhelmed. I have also gained greater awareness in my practice, where I was taught to respect my practice and my body, it is what it is. Instead of attempting challenging postures that my body is not ready for, I've learnt to step back and work on building a stronger foundation. I have learnt so much more in a week than I had in a year. The healthy vegan meals were all consciously prepared with love, simple yet delicious.
