    A perfect retreat.

PROS Pros: Karey and Bart were perfect hosts! We were welcomed and felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Karey's energy and warmth were exactly what I needed upon arrival at this retreat. She facilitated conversation between all the participants (there 10 of us) and encouraged us to take time for ourselves and our reflection. Her guidance was subtle, but effective and she really was the perfect yoga hostess and teacher. Bart had a lot of knowledge to share about the area and the history of the inn, and brought us on a beautiful hike in the provincial park. The bonfires at night were the perfect way to end off the days.

Organizer response: Wow thanks Michelle! Come back again soon, we'd love to see you both again... Cheers Karey & Bart

    Cousin Yoga Retreat

PROS Pros: I loved the Inn it was so cute and relaxing. The hosts Karey and Bart are excellent hosts and go out of their way to make everything a wonderful experience for their guests. The retreat had a proposed agenda however it was adjusted to the needs of group. Loved the food prepared and served by Greg and Sandra. The ability to bind strangers together in a short time happens magically at this Inn. My cousin and myself loved the "adventure" and finding my "spirit animal" at the Inn. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

Organizer response: Hey Sandra Thanks for your compliments! We're looking forward to your next "uneventful" stay in our Torlan room. We've passed on your kind words to Greg -- We loved having you both here... Cheers Karey & Bart

    Great stay!

PROS Pros: First of all the owners where very kind and welcoming. The building was steeped in history and beautifully renovated into a cozy tastefully decorated inn. The yoga sessions were great and meditations around the fire and in the yoga studio were very relaxing. We went hiking, had an art lesson, visited the local art gallery and had free time to do as we wished. The food was delicious too! All around great experience.

Organizer response: Than you for your kind words! We loved our first KaBa Kamp too - hope to see you next year in Caledon!! Karey & Bart

"Wonderful weekend, I would come again in a New York minute! The hosts were warm and welcoming, they shared the history of the building with great enthusiasm, and the breakfast was delicious. We spent the next day walking for hours in the Forks of the Credit Park, footsteps from the door of the Inn."

"A quick drive from the hustle and bustle of Toronto brings you to this charming inn next to the Bruce Trail. The hosts, Karey and Bart, are welcoming and delightful, and serve up the most scrumptious breakfasts. A lovely fireplace burned in the dining room as I sipped my coffee and had the best pancakes ever! The rooms are tastefully decorated."

"Just spent five nights in the hotel with my husband and two small children (5 years and 23 months). We were given a room with a king bed and a temporary queen bed in a room separated by an arch, which is normally a sitting room. However, as the adjoining room was free, we had use of that room to watch TV at night, and for my husband to be able to do work and go on conference calls, etc. Rooms had luxurious linens on the beds. We were really warm, which was good given it got to -20 degrees outside one night. I'd describe the rooms as tastefully, minimalist, and modern but punctuated with rustic charm that adds character. The Wi-Fi was fast and excellent, and there were enough Cable TV channels to keep us entertained after the kids were asleep. The hosts could not have been more accommodating and kind. They offered such a bespoke service, catering to each individual taste and preference at breakfast, even sourcing organic and free range produce. We couldn't get through all the food on offer, they offered such choice for breakfast. Coffee and organic teas were on offer 24/7. They even gave me a birthday cake as a surprise on my birthday that was spent there, also a bottle of local cider was put in our room. Nothing we could have thought of was too much. The children were embraced, felt loved, and never uncomfortable despite the inn being beautifully presented and only recently opened after renovation. The inn itself has guest rooms in one part of the building and the hosts live next door, so you feel like you are staying in a boutique hotel, not someone's house. It has so much more warmth and character than staying in a hotel. It is a loved project, not just a business. It is down a quiet lane off the main road with a beautiful outlook, but only 30 mins from Pearson Airport. A world away from the hustle and bustle without being inconveniently far. The cost isn't budget but it isn't outrageously expensive either. It is by far, the nicest accommodation I could find in the area, yet wasn't the most expensive one either."

"Karey and Bart are lovely! The property is right next to a provincial park with great walking and cycling trails. The Inn has been renovated in the most charming and historically accurate way. Bart and Karey cook up a storm and provided a level of service and comfort that would make the folks at Four Seasons feel inadequate. Stayed in February, 2017, traveled as a couple."

"We were looking for a night away and found this lovely spot in an online search. Karey and Bart, and the kids, were very warm and welcoming. They weren't having a busy night,so they upgraded us to probably their nicest room. The room, in the 1855 section, was nicely renovated but still held the original charm. The inn itself is well situated if you wish to get outdoors. We had a nice 6 km snow shoe just across the road in the Forks of the Credit Park. I Wished we had been able to do more exploring but we ran out of time. The breakfast was outstanding and plentiful. They gladly provided gluten free options as we had requested."

"We arrived to the beautiful inn on the snowy new year's eve to a glowing outside fire and a warm cozy room. The hosts Karey and Bart are lovely and most welcoming. We rang in the new year with the hosts and other guests, alongside the roaring fire and the sparkling snow. The Yoki room was quaint and quiet with lovely views of the property. Strolled the trails along the river and had a surprising fun day, Fat Biking with Karey and Bart. It was a very memorable new year and we will be back very soon. Oh, the delicious breakfast was memorable too!"

"On our weekend with relatives, we had a wonderful stay at the recently renovated inn. Our room was so bright with wonderful views. After a day walking the trails, the comfy bed with it's cozy duvet were so welcoming, as well as the soaker tub! The next day, Bart and Karey greeted us with a delicious full course breakfast to send us on our way, reluctantly, but we are happy knowing that we are returning in the next couple of weeks!"

"We spent a night at the Forks of the Credit Inn and it was wonderful. The refurbishments that the new owners have made are tasteful, comfortable, and respect the heritage and history of this landmark. The parks and hiking trails are amazing, dinner and the following breakfast were delicious. Bart and Karey are great people and great hosts! Thank you!"

"This review is a bit overdue. We stayed here in December and had a wonderful weekend away from the city. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable, and the inn was located very close to the Bruce Trail, which made for some excellent hiking. Bart and Karey are incredible hosts! They are very kind and welcoming, but will also give you space if you want that. The food is delicious and we would absolutely go back again! Stayed in December 2016, and traveled as a couple."

"I grew up in Caledon and always knew the inn as an old beautiful building, but the renovations that Bart and Karey have done on the place are stunning. A part of me was almost tempted not to write this review to keep this secret to myself. We rented three rooms, had the whole top floor to ourselves. In the morning, Karey led a fantastic yoga class and then they made us the most incredible breakfast, with lots of coffee by the fireplace. It is so cozy, the combo of the location, the renos, and the couple running the place just make it perfect.I highly recommend it!"
