"Brilliant for lots of down time"

The home is absolutely beautiful and located right next to lovely walks in lush hills. The owners are very in-tune to the needs of their guests, going above and beyond at every stage. This retreat has a lot of individual time so it's great for those who like to plan their own adventures or relax in on the property. The walks and activities aren't too strenuous leaving plenty of energy for the yoga session. The fire session was a great way to get to know the other guests and owners.

"Perfect Mother-Daughter Get Away"

Beautiful venue! The Inn has had extensive renovations to provide all of the modern conveniences but at the same time it has maintained the lovely 1800s architecture and atmosphere. Our room was very spacious and nicely decorated. The king sized bed was comfortable with fresh and attractive linens. The gas stove in the room was a cozy feature. The food was outstanding in presentation and taste. The chefs, Sandra and Greg, prepared delicious meals with a great deal of attention to variety and detail. The yoga instructors were very skilled and classes were very enjoyable for beginners and intermediate yoga participants. All of the activities were fun! We had a beautiful guided hike in the Provincial Park. The archery and axe throwing event was new and most pleasurable to experience!

All of the guests bonded around the bonfire while gazing at the stars.

The session with the Mystic & Spititual Teacher was entertaining and positive. Everyone ended the retreat feeling optimistic and energized!

The owners, Karey and Bart, are most hospitable and gracious.

"The most magical weekend"

I enjoyed everything! The Princess Warrior retreat was so relaxing and the group of women we were with were all lovely, open and supportive. The food was delicious, we definitely didn't go hungry. The inn itself was really spacious, clean and peaceful. It's surrounded by beautiful nature for hikes and bonfires! Karey and Bart were more than accommodating and sweet. Everything on the schedule was great, from the yoga classes, to the bonfire, to the shaman, we really got a lot out of the weekend. I will definitely be back.

"Yoga"

My daughter and I had an amazing time. Karey, the Yoga Instructor and Host was so incredibly enthusiastic, pleasant, calm and kind. Everyone that worked in the Inn were so friendly, interesting and a great group of people. The food was artfully prepared and delicious ( but, you may wish to scale down the portions, a lot of food for the average women to consume). The Rooms were well decorated, large and cozy. Pillows were so comfortable and the bedding was beautiful. highly recommend the Yoga Retreat. Dina and Mariah

"Truly amazing experience"

For my very first Yoga Retreat and not really knowing what to expect I was blown away. The accommodations were impeccable, the hostess for the weekend was so sweet. Everything was on schedule and I felt very at peace and safe during my stay. I know for sure that I will return.

"Yoga Retreat"

I absolutely loved the old inn which was surrounded by hiking trails, and falls...the owners renovated the various rooms which are just beautiful! The food was delicious, and healthy, couldn't have asked for better.

"A perfect retreat."

Karey and Bart were perfect hosts! We were welcomed and felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Karey's energy and warmth were exactly what I needed upon arrival at this retreat. She facilitated conversation between all the participants (there 10 of us) and encouraged us to take time for ourselves and our reflection. Her guidance was subtle, but effective and she really was the perfect yoga hostess and teacher. Bart had a lot of knowledge to share about the area and the history of the inn, and brought us on a beautiful hike in the provincial park. The bonfires at night were the perfect way to end off the days.

"Cousin Yoga Retreat"

I loved the Inn it was so cute and relaxing. The hosts Karey and Bart are excellent hosts and go out of their way to make everything a wonderful experience for their guests. The retreat had a proposed agenda however it was adjusted to the needs of group. Loved the food prepared and served by Greg and Sandra. The ability to bind strangers together in a short time happens magically at this Inn. My cousin and myself loved the "adventure" and finding my "spirit animal" at the Inn. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

"Great stay!"

First of all the owners where very kind and welcoming. The building was steeped in history and beautifully renovated into a cozy tastefully decorated inn. The yoga sessions were great and meditations around the fire and in the yoga studio were very relaxing. We went hiking, had an art lesson, visited the local art gallery and had free time to do as we wished. The food was delicious too! All around great experience.

Wonderful weekend, I would come again in a New York minute! The hosts were warm and welcoming, they shared the history of the building with great enthusiasm, and the breakfast was delicious. We spent the next day walking for hours in the Forks of the Credit Park, footsteps from the door of the Inn.

A quick drive from the hustle and bustle of Toronto brings you to this charming inn next to the Bruce Trail. The hosts, Karey and Bart, are welcoming and delightful, and serve up the most scrumptious breakfasts. A lovely fireplace burned in the dining room as I sipped my coffee and had the best pancakes ever! The rooms are tastefully decorated.

Just spent five nights in the hotel with my husband and two small children (5 years and 23 months). We were given a room with a king bed and a temporary queen bed in a room separated by an arch, which is normally a sitting room. However, as the adjoining room was free, we had use of that room to watch TV at night, and for my husband to be able to do work and go on conference calls, etc. Rooms had luxurious linens on the beds. We were really warm, which was good given it got to -20 degrees outside one night. I'd describe the rooms as tastefully, minimalist, and modern but punctuated with rustic charm that adds character. The Wi-Fi was fast and excellent, and there were enough Cable TV channels to keep us entertained after the kids were asleep. The hosts could not have been more accommodating and kind. They offered such a bespoke service, catering to each individual taste and preference at breakfast, even sourcing organic and free range produce. We couldn't get through all the food on offer, they offered such choice for breakfast. Coffee and organic teas were on offer 24/7. They even gave me a birthday cake as a surprise on my birthday that was spent there, also a bottle of local cider was put in our room. Nothing we could have thought of was too much. The children were embraced, felt loved, and never uncomfortable despite the inn being beautifully presented and only recently opened after renovation. The inn itself has guest rooms in one part of the building and the hosts live next door, so you feel like you are staying in a boutique hotel, not someone's house. It has so much more warmth and character than staying in a hotel. It is a loved project, not just a business. It is down a quiet lane off the main road with a beautiful outlook, but only 30 mins from Pearson Airport. A world away from the hustle and bustle without being inconveniently far. The cost isn't budget but it isn't outrageously expensive either. It is by far, the nicest accommodation I could find in the area, yet wasn't the most expensive one either.

Karey and Bart are lovely! The property is right next to a provincial park with great walking and cycling trails. The Inn has been renovated in the most charming and historically accurate way. Bart and Karey cook up a storm and provided a level of service and comfort that would make the folks at Four Seasons feel inadequate. Stayed in February, 2017, traveled as a couple.
