Join Willis from Flying Heart Flow in the magical mountain town of San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico, for yoga and adventure. He has been blessed to see many parts of this fantastic country, and it has left him feeling so alive as if he was walking on glitter-laden clouds. Most yoga retreats take place in Mexico by the sea, as do vacations, but he wants to provide something different. So, he created something very special and close to his heart to share the magic of this remarkable land.
Hotel Diego de Mazariegos is a classic Mexican style 4-star hotel with tons of character and charm. You can have ingle occupancy in a standard room (with private bathroom) or double occupancy in a standard room with one or two beds (with private bathroom).
You will grow your practice together with Willis and also explore two stunning qualities of Mexico - the cultural and the natural through two group excursions. When not doing yoga or taking an excursion, you can get lost in the Pueblo Mágico San Cristóbal. This is the land of coffee and chocolate, artisan crafts (with colors that will blow your mind), beautiful churches, and charming side streets.
In this retreat, you will see examples of two of the phenomena that make San Cristobal so magical - the cultural and natural.
Experience the vibrant colors of Mayan crafts and textiles, as well as moving cultural practices with a tour to San Juan Chamula, an indigenous Mayan town with a beautiful and fascinating set of traditions. In Chamula, you will have the option to receive an energetic cleansing from a local healer. This ritual promotes health on both the physical and energetic levels.
You will also take a 2-hour boat ride through the Sumidero Canyon one day. The Sumidero Canyon is a profound natural landmark that will leave you feeling awe-inspired by nature.

Yoga Alliance RYT 500 (Yoga)
Willis has been practicing seriously for 11 years, and became a 200 hour RYT through davannayoga in 2014 under the incomparable teachings of one of his biggest influences, Anna Laurita. Currently, Willis is in the process of becoming a 500-hour RYT--training 300 hours with Noah Mazé in Los Angeles. Willis believes the practice and teachings of yoga allow us to contribute to the greater good by providing us deeper resources of presence, compassion, and patience. His teaching style is fun and creative with great focus on the movement/breath connection.
Accommodation and practice will be in a beautiful, classic Mexican style 4-star Hotel Diego de Mazariegos right in the center of San Cristobal.

You may also take a shuttle bus from the airport to San Cristobal, which is cheaper but slightly more time consuming.
"Willis Johnston is a remarkable yoga teacher. He weaves divine inspiration and musical motivation with out-of-this-world Vinyasa sequencing to give you a "yoga good" high at the end of every session. Willis offers wise, positive, and uplifting cues during the class to help you through his dynamic sequencing and inspire you to move with grace and ease. I love the feeling at the beginning of his class, in the middle of his class and at the end of his class. Must be experienced."

"Willis was wonderful. He pushed me to places I did not think I could go, but also was considerate of everyone's strengths and limitations. He offered ways to intensify or scale back at every step and made clear that every mat is its own island, you are on your own journey. I feel amazing and inspired!"
