You'll be staying in a twin room. Flourish Yoga chooses the hotels in India based on location, safety, cleanliness, price and the good relationships they have with owners and staff. India is a special, magical place with its own unique facets and quirks, staying in Indian hotels is another way to experience the country and its culture.

The hotels you'll use have air-conditioning and Western-style toilets. Location is crucial, Flourish Yoga wants you to feel comfortable exploring on your own during free time, so they find hotels that are close to the action, while still being as quiet and private as possible. A little patience might occasionally be needed for hot water and Wi-Fi.

    Day 1: Arrive in Delhi

Namaste and welcome to India! Flourish Yoga will meet you at the airport and settle you in to your hotel.

    Day 2: Delhi

After breakfast and a morning yoga class to stretch away the jet lag, you’ll explore India’s capital. Delhi is a colorful hive of energy and activity that will wake up your senses! The Indian capital is a city of contrasts; a modern metropolis merges with Old Delhi’s winding streets and bazaars.

    Day 3: Agra

After breakfast, you'll head to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal. You'll also visit the magnificent Agra Fort, one of the finest Mughal forts in India.

    Day 4: Agra to Amritsar

You’ll enjoy sunrise over the Taj Mahal. Nothing can prepare you for the moment you see the Taj Mahal with your own eyes! You will be moved by the most awe-inspiring monument to love on planet earth. You'll return to Delhi by train and fly to Amritsar.

    Day 5: Amritsar

The spiritual home of the Sikh religion. Your hotel is only a few steps away from the The Golden Temple, a place of great beauty and sublime peacefulness. Everyone finds their favorite way to spend time at the temple. You can help out in the kitchen or sit on the cool marble and meditate on the reflections in the holy pond. The temple kitchen is one of the largest in the world. No one goes hungry; around 100,000 people a day are served a free hot meal, regardless of caste, creed and religion.

    Day 6: Amritsar

The Pakistan border is only an hour’s drive from Amritsar, here you will witness the flamboyant, high kicking, choreographed Pakistan / Indian Border closing ceremony. This unique, colorful and elaborate spectacle draws crowds on both sides of the border.

    Day 7: Jaipur

Today, you fly to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, also known as 'The Pink City'. There is a royal touch to Jaipur's temples, ancient forts, palaces and beautiful havelis (mansions). Your accommodation in Jaipur is an Indian Royal Palace converted into a heritage hotel, the royal family still occupies a part of the property. Peacocks roam around the spacious grounds.

Rajasthan is famous for its rich and prolific art treasures, spectacular landscapes and stunning fortresses, this royal city will captivate you with its history, vibrant culture and tradition. ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ was filmed here!

Day 8: Holi Colour Festival - Jaipur

You are going to celebrate the 'Holi Colour Festival' in Jaipur. Holi is one of the major festivals of India and is the most vibrant of all. The joys of Holi know no bound. "I am writing to tell you how wonderful your retreat was on Sunday and just how much I enjoyed the day. The yoga space and you were so welcoming and it was such a beautiful day that I felt revitalized afterwards. From the moment I arrived I knew it was going to be a lovely day. You have a way of making people feel so comfortable and special. Your care and attention to the food was fantastic and it was just delightful to be there for the day. I can't wait to return and so would like to book into your next workshop. I enjoyed it so much that I have booked for your Bali Retreat in March, a destination I have never even considered before! Thank you for such a special day. "

"This trip was an incredible experience. Being my first trip to India, I was a little anxious, however the level of organization and professionalism of Jane and her guides made me feel relaxed. The locations and daily activities were exciting and inspiring. I don't practice yoga regularly, yet I enjoyed learning about the philosophy of yoga, I found myself enjoying this spiritual aspect more than I realized and it only served to heighten the experience with everyone else in the group. I recommend this trip because it's a trip that you'll remember for the rest of your life, I know I certainly will. The people, the places, and the professionalism were beyond reproach. I'd do it again in a heart beat."
