You will be in safe hands as you experience the warmth and hospitality of her special friends in this up close and personal tour that will take you inside the real heart of India, the people, their lives, homes, history, culture and philosophy.

You'll be staying in a twin room. Flourish Yoga chooses the hotels in India based on location, safety, cleanliness, price and the good relationships they have with owners and staff. India is a special, magical place with its own unique facets and quirks, staying in Indian hotels is another way to experience the country and its culture.
The hotels you'll use have air-conditioning and Western-style toilets. Location is crucial, Flourish Yoga wants you to feel comfortable exploring on your own during free time, so they find hotels that are close to the action, while still being as quiet and private as possible. A little patience might occasionally be needed for hot water and Wi-Fi.

After breakfast and a morning yoga class to stretch away the jet lag, you’ll explore India’s capital. Delhi is a colorful hive of energy and activity that will wake up your senses! The Indian capital is a city of contrasts; a modern metropolis merges with Old Delhi’s winding streets and bazaars.
After breakfast, you'll head to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal. You'll also visit the magnificent Agra Fort, one of the finest Mughal forts in India.
You’ll enjoy sunrise over the Taj Mahal. Nothing can prepare you for the moment you see the Taj Mahal with your own eyes! You will be moved by the most awe-inspiring monument to love on planet earth. You'll return to Delhi by train and fly to Amritsar.
The spiritual home of the Sikh religion. Your hotel is only a few steps away from the The Golden Temple, a place of great beauty and sublime peacefulness. Everyone finds their favorite way to spend time at the temple. You can help out in the kitchen or sit on the cool marble and meditate on the reflections in the holy pond. The temple kitchen is one of the largest in the world. No one goes hungry; around 100,000 people a day are served a free hot meal, regardless of caste, creed and religion.
The Pakistan border is only an hour’s drive from Amritsar, here you will witness the flamboyant, high kicking, choreographed Pakistan / Indian Border closing ceremony. This unique, colorful and elaborate spectacle draws crowds on both sides of the border.
Today, you fly to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, also known as 'The Pink City'. There is a royal touch to Jaipur's temples, ancient forts, palaces and beautiful havelis (mansions). Your accommodation in Jaipur is an Indian Royal Palace converted into a heritage hotel, the royal family still occupies a part of the property. Peacocks roam around the spacious grounds.
Rajasthan is famous for its rich and prolific art treasures, spectacular landscapes and stunning fortresses, this royal city will captivate you with its history, vibrant culture and tradition. ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ was filmed here!
You are going to celebrate the 'Holi Colour Festival' in Jaipur. Holi is one of the major festivals of India and is the most vibrant of all. The joys of Holi know no bound. The festival is filled with so much fun and frolic that the very mention of the word 'Holi' draws smiles and enthusiasm amongst the people. Holi also celebrates the arrival of spring, a season of joy and hope.
Palaces, forts and monuments are not the only attraction of the pink city, the handicrafts, exquisite jewelry and magnificent art and artifacts will also catch your eye. There is no other city in India which can offer textiles more exotic than the ones found in Jaipur. These vibrant and flamboyant textiles and carpets reflect the rich culture and tradition of Rajasthan.
With your sleeper train departing at 23:00, you’ll have the whole day to explore more of Jaipur.
You’ll arrive early morning into Udaipur, fondly called the ‘City of Lakes' and ‘Venice of the East'. With majestic palaces, beautiful temples and a lake cruise to enchant you, we are sure you’ll fall in love with this city.
Udaipur is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful, serene and romantic cities in India. Famous the world over for its architectural wonders and rich cultural heritage, Udaipur is also renowned as a major center for performing arts, craft and its typical miniature painting.
You’ll enjoy another day in Udaipur, the city of endless charm. Many of the exquisite Rajput palaces have been converted into luxury hotels. Famous among them is the Lake Palace, which appears to float magnificently on Pichola Lake, here we enjoy afternoon tea and a boat cruise.
Today, you will travel 260 kilometers to Jodhpur by road. After a half way stop for lunch and a swim, there’s a visit the exquisite Ranakpur Jain Temple, this temple is an amazing work of art and architecture. The beautiful and delicately carved sculptures in this shrine defy comparison.
One of the largest and most magnificent forts in the whole of Rajasthan, The Mehrangarh Fort (the jewel of Jodhpur) soars above the city. The fort dominates the surrounding plains, appearing majestic and impregnable. So colossal are its proportions that Rudyard Kipling called it ‘the work of giants’. Jodhpur is also known as 'The Blue City’ due to the vivid blue painted houses around the fort.
You have the whole day to explore more of Jodhpur as the sleeper train departs at 20:00.
Arrival into Delhi is early morning and you’ll have breakfast in our hotel. You have the whole day to rest in the hotel or do some last minute shopping and sightseeing. Early evening, you’ll head to the airport and say farewell to India. You'll board your evening flight home to your corner of the world, heart full, feeling richer with a new perspective on life.

It has been the motivation to ensure Flourish Yoga’s success. Jane is a level 2 yoga teacher with over 20 years involvement in personal improvement and self-discovery. She creates a special blend of yoga, self-inquiry, relaxation, and meditation to help you create a rich experience of yourself.
During this yoga retreat, you are going to visit wonderful places in Delhi, Agra, Amritsar, Jaipur, Udaipur, and Jodhpur.
Flourish Yoga will always explain local foods and delicacies, not all Indian food is spicy. Most restaurants in India serve Western food - everything from pizza to fries and pasta.
Flourish Yoga will help and advise you if you have food allergies and / or intolerance. Gluten is avoidable in India. Vegetarians will have a huge choice. You may want to consider 'going vegetarian' for the duration of the tour.
