The Big Palapa is a spacious, 880 square feet dorm-style room with amazing ocean and jungle views. It has two luxurious bathrooms, and each bed has its own mosquito net, nightstand and a drawer under the bed. It’s the best option for budget-savvy and community-seeking yogis and travelers. The dorm is an open air palapa with 8 beds and 2 en-suite baths.
Petite Suites are small casitas equipped with one king size bed or two double beds with pillow top mattresses, luxury linen, and beautiful mosquito netting. They feature a private terrace with ocean and jungle views, hammock, closet, zen sitting area and a private bathroom. There are 5 Petite Suites in total.
All shared suites have two double beds, an en-suite bath, private terrace, hammock and a view to the sea! You will receive either an Eco-Chic Suite or a Petite Suite, (Eco-Chics offered on a first-come basis). You may book one or two spots in the shared room.
The couple’s suites have one king-size bed, an en-suite bath, private terrace, hammock, and a view to the sea! You will receive either an Eco-Chic Suite or a Petite Suite, given on a first-come basis. The couple’s package includes two spots in the retreat.
Deluxe rooms are cozy and perfect for single travelers, two friends, or budget-savvy couples. They feature either two single beds or one double bed, a spacious bathroom, open-air shower and sitting desk. There are 8 deluxe rooms in total, all located near the restaurant and beach club. Single rooms might have 1 double, or 2 single beds, with an en-suite bath and view to the sea!
Casitas are the most comfortable and luxurious rooms with AC and plunge pool. They are the best option for couples, and have a spectacular ocean view and a unique zen-chic setting. All Casitas are 538 square feet and have a private terrace, a hammock, a sitting area, a private bathroom, a closet, luxurious amenities, and amazing settings. All beds have pillow top mattresses, and gorgeous mosquito netting. All rooms have a safe locker to deposit valuables. Hot water is available in all rooms. The Casita package includes two spots in the retreat.
The Small Palapa is a large room equipped with 4 comfy single beds, making it the best choice for a group of friends of family. Each bed has a mosquito net and nightstand. Located high on the mountain, this room is the closest to the main yoga space, the Jungle Studio. It has a large terrace, hammock, and a luxurious bathroom with an open-air shower. Sit back and relax in its lounge and enjoy its beautiful jungle and sea views.
This 4-person palapa is perfect for a family of 3 or 4 or a group of friends.
The EYR annual Christmas and New Year retreats at Xinalani are unique in their EYR portfolio of retreats, with 30 - 40 people from around the world joining in celebration together! Wake to the rhythmic sound of waves and intricate chorus of tropical birds with a cup of tea overlooking the ocean. Stroll the beach or take a morning swim before heading up to the Jungle Studio for a morning of body, mind and soul replenishing. Join one or both back-to-back yoga classes: Gentle Flow yoga with Nina Butler and Fitness with personal trainer, Lisa Nielsen.
Free time to enjoy the sunshine and waves! Head out for sea-kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, surfing or horseback riding. Trek into the forest to a hidden waterfall, take a Mexican cooking class or journey inward with a shaman-led temazcal, followed by a healing massage in the ocean-side spa. A delicious buffet lunch is served from 13:00 - 14:30, followed by just enough time for a hammock siesta!
At sunset, reconvene for a smart abs class will Lisa followed by a Vinyasa plus Yin yoga class with Nina. Following the sunset session is dinner on the ocean view terrace at Xinalani - a three-course gourmet meal featuring inspired and traditional Mexican recipes, designed for the healthy lifestyle of a yogi. After dinner take a moonlit stroll on the beach, gather with friends around a bonfire or even try your feet at salsa.
You will go on a walk through the jungle to a neighboring beach for swimming, fresh chips, and guacamole.
This retreat is located at Xinalani Eco-Resort & Spa, a private beach resort 45 min from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Xinalani is only 12 miles south of Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). Their 250-yard-wide private beach is accessible only by boat. Personalized transportation service is available for guests who’d like to be escorted from the airport to Xinalani.
You will be provided with healthy, gourmet local cuisine for all dietary preferences. Meals are based on locally grown produce, fresh fish and seafood, served in the spacious terrace dining room with spectacular views that overlook the jungle and the ocean. All dietary preferences are warmly catered to, and the friendly staff make sure that all guests are well cared for.

Please book your flight to arrive at Puerto Vallarta Airport (PVR) arriving no later than 4:00 p.m. in time to catch the last boat to the resort. Transfer from and to the airport is included. You will be driven by a pre-paid cab to the marina where you will be transferred in a small boat 45-minutes south to Xinalani.
