Your home in Bali will be the Floating Leaf Eco-Luxury Retreat Hotel. It’s set in a small, traditional Balinese village amongst verdant rice fields. This secluded location, nestled between Sukawati and Pantai Purnama on the eastern shore of Bali, is far from traffic, pollution, and the crowds of tourists found in Ubud and southern Bali, but still conveniently located close to the beach and other key Bali landmarks.

This yoga retreat will offer a variety of yoga classes that will ride the rhythm of experience, meaning some classes will be energetic, strong moving flowing that will build strength and flexibility. Other classes will be deeply relaxing that will cultivate a meditative mind and allow you to slip into a deep state of relaxation.

Each class will be well-thought out and build on each other that will deepen your yoga practice and yourself. The yoga classes will have a new theme each day that will encourage discussion and self-realization.

The yoga classes are suitable for everybody and modifications or levels will be given. If you are a beginner, it’s a wonderful way to find the inspiration to start a practice. If you’re an experienced yogi, it’s a great place to deepen your practice.

Nikki Stevenson

Nikki has a passion for life and yoga. Her classes are a slower and steady pace with creative and fluid sequencing, linking movement with breath, focusing on tuning in with the body, and moving with awareness. With a strong and refined asana practice, she encourages students to move in a way that feels good to them and teaches her students that the greatest benefits are received when they accept themselves as they are, when they expand their minds and open their hearts.

Rachel Wainwright

Rachel whole-heartedly believes in the transformative power of yoga. Yoga has given her the tools to meet the inevitable difficulties of life with a measure of acceptance, openness, trust, and love. Rachel believes that mindful movement to motivational music can help shift your perspective to a more positive one and raise your vibration to a higher frequency. She believes that with this practice you will attract a healthier, happier, more fulfilling life.

Rachel guides you to move from the inside out, allowing you listen to your sensations and hear your inner intelligence. She playfully inspires you to be adventurous and have an intimate experience connecting to your true natural authentic self. She combines her dance, Pilates, and yoga training to create creative fluid flows that strengthen the body, empower the mind, and uplift the spirit.

During the retreat, you will be served six breakfast, two lunches, and four dinners at the hotel. Exhale Yoga Retreats has also chosen restaurants to eat at outside of the hotels, in order for you to have a variety of healthy and delicious items at very good prices.

Private yoga, Pilates, or dance class

Private classes can be scheduled prior to your arrival or arranged during your stay. Private classes allow for a highly personalized experience with undivided attention. These classes are appropriate for all levels of experience and can be tailored to meet your needs and help you reach your goals. The cost is 55 USD per session.

Scooter rental

Scooters are available everywhere and cost between 5 USD to 7 USD for 24 hours. Driving in Bali can be hectic and an international driver license is required on the main island of Bali to drive a scooter. These can be obtained in your home country or in Bali for 30 USD.

Shopping trips

Bali has some amazing shopping. There are plans in the schedule for shopping in Ubud and Seminyak, but if you want to spend some extra time going to shops, transportation can be arranged. Price will vary depending on drive time.

Surf

Surf lessons and board rentals can be arrange at an additional cost for board, surf coach, and transportation. Two-hour lesson with board and transportation to and from surf location costs 60 single USD per person and 50 USD per person in a group of two or more people.

If you are traveling with your own board, surf trips to surrounding beaches and breaks can be organized. The cost of transportation is between 10 USD to 30 USD depending on drive time.

Driving directions from Ubud

  • Head to Jalan Raya Sukawati and take it as far as you can.
  • As you approach Sukawati Art Market, the road becomes one way and you will need to take a left at this point. Do so, and then take your first right.
  • You will head to the Banjar named Gelumpang.
  • Continue on this road until it comes to a “T” intersection where you can either turn left or right.
  • Choose left and continue on this road all the way to Floating Leaf.
  • The road will turn into Jalan Pantai Purnama and the hotel is 400 meters before the Bypass.
  • You can’t miss the Floating Leaf room among the rice fields.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Exhale Yoga Retreats will pick you up from the airport.

    "Words can't begin to describe this absolutely amazing experience. The January 2016 retreat at Maderas village was awesome. I have never started a year more refreshed, positive, and inspired. Rachel, Yeva, and Ariel are talented and creative teachers, who made the classes both challenging and full of laughs. Throughout the retreat, they did an amazing job striking the perfect balance between yoga, self development, jungle parties, planned excursions, and free time, and they made each component so much fun. The Maderas village, in the Nica jungle just steps away from Playa Maderas, was the perfect location to disconnect and reacquaint with nature. The owners and residents at Maderas were welcoming hosts and also enhanced the good vibes on the trip. The most amazing thing that I took away from the retreat though is a tribe of 34 new friends. I went solo on the Nica trip (almost half of the people on the trip also went alone) and recommend that anyone who is considering to do the same to just do it. You seriously won't regret it. I will absolutely go on another retreat in the future. So in love with the work that Exhale Yoga Retreats is doing!"

    "The Nicaragua holiday with Exhale Yoga Retreats was the perfect way to relax, re-focus, and re-energize. The food, accommodation, service, and yoga classes were top-notch. Providing options for other group activities was a great touch - and allowed solo travelers like myself to meet and connect with like-minded people. Loved Vinyasa classes in the morning and Yin yoga in the evening. The music playlists were also fantastic! Two thumbs up, five stars, would highly recommend!"
