During this workshop, Simon will show you how to work systematically with your practice by teaching four fundamental principles of traditional yoga that are in line with modern concepts of strength and conditioning, and the science of exercise-based physiology and physiotherapy. These principles can help you develop a yoga practice that will enhance your health and well-being on a physical, energetic, and emotional level. You will also immerse yourself in a biohotel operating on a wholly environmentally-friendly basis and explore the incredible living island surrounding.
Essentis Biohotel is a fully equipped hotel with more than fifty clear and comfortable rooms, four workshop spaces from 34 square meters to 240 square meters, a sauna with a direct exit to the Spree, a performative kitchen, a winter garden, a library, a bar, a vegan restaurant, a photography studio for shooting, and a fully equipped meditation and yoga room.
Essentis Biohotel possesses its own river dock directly on the Spree. The boats from the company Reederei Riedel land directly at their jetty. From the hotel’s dock, motorboats are available for rent.
Each of the five 3-hour long sessions in this course includes one to two hours of detailed instruction on posture, movement, and breathing by physiotherapist and yoga teacher Simon Borg-Olivier, followed by a flowing and meditative visually instructed led practice to music with no verbal instructions. Each session builds on the information and practice of the previous session. Please do not attend session 5 unless you have attended at least two of the other sessions.
