These small group retreats are conducive to healing and personal growth. Experience the calm within and without. Come and enjoy the serene atmosphere of traditional yogic life at a site only two and a half hours from Ann Arbor and Chicago. You will practice both gentle yoga and meditation. Regroup and find calmness.
You will be staying for two nights at the Vivekananda Retreat Center in Michigan. It has hosted retreats for more that 25 years, and a responsible, disciplined life is always followed. There are single and shared rooms, with private or shared bathroom, available in the retreat. Men and women stay separately.
The program includes daily yoga classes, meditation sessions, and nature walks on Lake Michigan Beach and / or the Shrine trails on the property. You will have fun and plenty of time to reflect and unwind. It will include asana, pranayama (breathing techniques), guided yoga Nidra (deep relaxation), and dhyana yoga (meditation). Starting on the second day of the retreat is an option. You must notify the organizer in advance.
The retreat will be an opportunity for participants to experience how properly administered yoga and meditation work on health, what differentiates yoga from other forms of exercise, what makes holistic yoga the safer and healthier choice, how yoga Nidra and meditation can help manage anxiety, and more.
Men and women of all ages, regardless of physical fitness, as well as teens aged 14 and above (supervised by parents), beginners, and advanced practitioners are welcome to attend.
All practice is tailored to guests' specific needs, taught by IAYT Certified yoga meditation master of over 30 years. Also included are spiritual discussions, and yoga teachers earn CEUs with the Yoga Alliance. This intimate retreat is for total beginners, continuing students, and teachers who would like to experience classical yoga and meditation as a way of life, healing, and growth.
