Come and join practicing yoga with the stunning views of Telendos island and climbing in some of the best routes of the world while, swimming in crystal clear waters, discovering the taste of the local cuisine, getting to know new people, and staying open to new experiences. This retreat is specially designed only for women which can bring women from all over the world together, sharing this unforgettable experience that only Kalymnos can offer.
You will be staying at Panormitis Studios, just 10 minutes from Massouri beach by foot and the closest possible from the most famous climbing area. The rooms are shared between two persons and are simple and comfortable with air condition, a small kitchen, and stunning views of Telendos Island from the sunny terrace and from the pool-side.
The retreat is suitable for everyone, for those who have neither climbed or practiced yoga in their life but wishing to have this new experience get ready for an unforgettable and life-changing experience! For yoginis who have never touched a rock wall in their life and want to take their yoga practice to the rocks and challenge themselves on a different level. Also, from experienced climbers wishing to taste the benefits of yoga and climb some of the most dreamlike spots in the world.
Whether you are a beginner or you have already been practicing yoga and rock climbing, you will enjoy this unique combination. Beginners in rock climbing will have the opportunity to acquire safety skills, learn and enjoy climbing by attaining fundamental technical skills, whereas intermediate climbers will be able to improve their level.
Yoga sessions will prepare your body and mind for the challenges of climbing in natural terrain and ease out your muscles after a long day on the rocks. Yoga can help you develop an awareness of your body that will allow you to experience climbing in a completely different state. A feeling that can’t be beaten. A feeling of perfect harmony as you flow through each movement is something I think every climber is looking to achieve.
It is believed that yoga compliments climbing perfectly. It helps you improve your flexibility, balance, core, strength, endurance, breathing and focus. Every single climber can benefit from these skills. Plus, yoga helps you develop these skills in a way that is gentle and healing to your body while developing or maintaining lean muscles which are ideal for climbing.
Morning sessions will be Dynamic, while evening classes will focus on a Yin style of relaxation and flexibility. The aim is to experience being fully present in the moment with the unity of mind, body, and breath.
Morning energetic flow classes will be a mix of Hatha and Vinyasa flow practice that will be focusing more on building core strength and alignment. Meanwhile, evening sunset flow classes will be more restorative based, a mix of Hatha and Yin yoga that will be focusing more on improving flexibility, focus, and inner peace. All the yoga classes will be taking place on the beautiful terrace of Panormitis Studios in Armeos with stunning views of the Aegean sea and Telendos Island.
Upon your arrival at the port, Fred, from Yoga with Ria Around the World, will take you to your hotel.
The day starts with a good breakfast at the cafe close to your hotel. Fred will take you for your first rock climbing experience for four to five hours. You will learn the basics about security including how to belay, how to make a knot, and partner communication. You will also learn how to climb right, such as how to take small steps, use the tips of your feet, and how to climb on lead.
One one of the days of the retreat, you will go for a boat trip to Vathy that you will try a deep water solo climbing over the sea, swimming, and snorkeling with dolphins in the Aegean sea and later on in the evening visiting Pserimos island for sunset!
The main objective of this retreat is to enjoy the rock climbing and discover the unique landscapes that only Kalymnos can offer. You will get the chance to visit and climb on Telendos Island that is just the island that you can see from your hotel. Depending on the program, you will have morning or evening yoga lessons with Ria.
After the breakfast, if your flight is not too early, you can check out.
One of the days of the retreat, you will go for a boat trip to Vathy, swim, and snorkel with dolphins. Later on in the evening, you will be visiting Pserimos island for sunset. You will also get the chance to visit and climb on Telendos Island.

Kalymnos is a multitude of magnificent routes on a sculptured rock facing the Aegean Sea and a soft climate which makes it a real paradise for the amateurs of rock-climbing. Kalymnos is currently probably the world's most popular sport climbing holiday destination. More than 3000 routes on top-quality limestone wait for you in a beautiful Greek island setting. Easily accessible cliffs that are more than 30 meters height and offer routes as well as for beginners than for expert climbers, for everybody’s joy.
During this holiday, you will be served daily delicious and healthy breakfast included in the price with vegetarian and vegan options available.
During the rest of your day, you can enjoy the sun at the beach or at the pool of Panormitis studios, discover the island by foot or scooter, or simply relax and take a massage treatment that can be arranged for you. You will have a lot of free time in the evening which you can use for scuba diving or mountain hiking. Fred and Ria will also advise you where you can eat the best local food.
Please book your flight to arrive at Kos International Airport (KGS), then take a taxi to Mastichiari port, where you will take the boat to Kalymnos that takes 30 minutes approximately. It is recommended you land before 4 p.m. to have enough time to catch the ferry at 6 p.m. You don’t need to book your tickets in advance, you can buy them from the port of Mastichari.
