Karma Yoga

Karma yoga is the branch of yoga to perform activities following the arts of Karma yoga, there are many guidelines to this. At Yoga Bhawna Mission, this idea is executed on the basis of sharing responsibilities by everyone. In normal life, we do activities for ourselves and the result to the activities is confined to the performer, however, the same which we do for others become Karma yoga and the result does not stain the performer.

The same idea is incorporated here where the students will take responsibilities for the work allocated to them, which is for the smooth functioning of the school and at the same time performing allocated duties they engage themselves with their own knowledge. In this way, they have a chance to express what they know, expand on what they know, experience in what they know, as well as to learn something new and to also to know how. The activities might possibly include teaching, helping the school with the knowledge students already have, cooking, cleaning, and gardening.

There will be one full day Himalayan sightseeing excursion or picnic on any Sunday or free day every month with the Yoga Bhawna Mission team. This activity includes meals and transportation. All ex-student have repeatedly reported this is the best part of their stay at Yoga Bhawna Mission, it is an opportunity to use their hands and feet for a fruitful purpose, get closer to nature, and learn from her. It is an immensely therapeutic experience in itself and numerous yogis have told Yoga Bhawna Mission how their stress just disappeared as they get close to nature.
