All guests will be staying at the Vedic Arogya Ashram. The ashram offers basic accommodation. It is available for those who wish to experience life at the ashram or undergo treatment.

There are options available for double rooms, as well as separate male and female dorm rooms. All rooms are with a sharing bathroom with hot water.

Vedic Arogya Ashram Nepal Yoga Retreat Program

What is yoga? Yoga means union of the mind, body, and spirit with the divine and while this refers to a certain state of consciousness for both the individual and the universe, it is also a method to help one reach that goal.

During this retreat, you will learn the traditional, exact, and easy system that aims at naturally achieving the goal through creating a healthy body and mind that leads to spiritual evolvement.

Based on the teachings of Swami Sivananda, Swami Vishnudevananda summarized the yoga philosophy in five principles or the five points of yoga which make the complex teachings of yoga easier to understand.

Five points of yoga

Positive thinking (vedanta) and meditation (dhyana)

These are the true keys to achieving peace of mind and eliminating negativity in your life.

Proper breathing (pranayama)

Deep and conscious breathing reduces stress and many diseases.

Proper diet

Eating simple, healthy, and vegetarian foods that are easy to digest notably have a positive effect on the mind and body, the environment, and other living beings.

Proper exercise (asanas)

Yoga poses help develop a strong and healthy body by enhancing flexibility and improving circulation.

Proper relaxation

Helps keep the body from going into overload mode, easing worries, and fatigue.

Bhakta Raj Maharjan
Bhakta is an international certified yoga teacher from India Bangalore SVYASA. He has been teaching yoga philosophy, asana and pranayama classes, and running yogic detox program in the ashram for the last four years. His intention is to share the art of living in peace and harmony by following yogic life style.

The Vedic Arogya Ashram is located in a beautiful and peaceful place next to Godaveri National Botanical Gardens. The forested surroundings and views of the colourful hills offer an ideal atmosphere for the practice of yoga and meditation.

The price of this retreat includes simple vegetarian Nepalese homemade food, served three times a day. Snacks, fruits, and herbal tea are available during tea break. Please advise the organizers if your health condition requires a special diet.

¿Cómo llegar?

Arrival by airplane

Please book a flight arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.

Arrival by bus

Take a bus from Legenkhel to Godawari and ask to stop at Taukhel. From there, it takes 15 minutes by walk to reach the ashram.

Arrival by taxi

You may take a taxi from the airport to the ashram. This journey would take approximately 45 minutes and would cost you around 1500 NRP.
