Available only for students on courses or retreats, there are six rooms that offer an encouragement towards the simplicity of living in the midst of natural surroundings. Open your windows to the tropical weather of southern Thailand or enjoy the cool breeze from a fan. There are en-suite private rooms.
This special offer of combining your detox with 1 yoga class per day, lectures on the theory and philosophy of yoga. This unique course also covers the eight limbs of yoga, posture, as well as alignment. Courses start every Monday at 07:30. Retreat students should make plans to arrive the weekend before the course starts. You can arrive for this retreat/course every Friday to Sunday, depending on room availability.

Prepare your mind: set your objective, read about detox, and talk to people who have done it. Also, let people know you are doing it. Support is always great, and the more the support, the least amount of obstacles. At the Yoga Retreat, we provide you with all the healthy nourishing liquids/foods you need.
During your detox/ fasting no food at all is the best policy. This means no chewing of anything. You should take as much fluids as possible as to not shock your body, and replace essential minerals. During the detox, most people expect to remove and clear all types of buildups and blockages. You will be releasing blockages on a physical, mental, and emotional level. For some people, this emotional stirring up and clearing can sometimes be negative. Please try not to be influenced by other people. Surrender to your emotions and honor them as this is one of the greatest benefits of detox. You should also get plenty of rest/sleep during your detox. Daily exercise is very important for weight loss and release of toxins.
As critical as the detox is itself, these are the days when you reintroduce solids into your system. Be patient and be aware. Stay positive and stay clear. This is the time of reflection and self-discovery. Your body will be more sensitive than ever before and it is the perfect time to start listening seriously and identify what things suit your body and what does not suit it so well.

There are shakes and elixirs that will be given to you during the retreat. Detox shakes that have Physillum husk and Benonite clay inside which will be taken thrice a day, Spirulina, unlimited water, Vitamin C, fresh coconut water, herbal teas all throughout the day, Thai Noni Juice, sea salt, and soup broth.
There are many other activities that you can do apart from yoga on Koh Phangan. There is kirtan, chanting singing, diving, snorkeling, kayaking, elephant rides, a jungle, mountain walking, beach hopping, and waterfalls. And of course there is always a party during the night.
Getting to Koh Phangan is quite straight forward, with regular rail and air links running daily from Bangkok. Whether you are travelling from Malaysia in the south or Bangkok in the north, you should make your way to the town of Surrathani on the mainland and catch any of the numerous boat services from there. If you decide to fly, you should head for the island of Koh Samui using Bangkok airways.
