This retreat will take place at the Yoga Forest, in Guatemala. Looking over Lake Atitlán and its surrounding volcanoes are the shared cabañas that can accommodate four people in large single beds. Using natural building techniques, the cabañas are constructed with either bamboo or cypress, palm roof, and natural adobe walls or traditional bahareque (wattle and daub) of this area.

The beds are comfortable, with warm feather duvets and pillows, and decorated with Peruvian Shipibo fabrics and Guatemalan Cushions. Private rooms are also available at additional cost.

Integrating the ancient teachings of Ayurveda for harmony and well-being, you will receive practical guidelines for a healthy daily routine, diet, and detox to illuminate your entire being. You will also be weaving in a transformational work using guided visualizations, group process, movement, cacao ceremony, and much more.

    Batya has had a private practice as a therapist for over a decade and has worked with groups and individuals all around the world. She combines the teachings of eastern and western psychology, the theory of Neo-Humanology, and many years of self-inquiry and healing. Also, she has M.A. degree in Social Work and she is a Neo-Humanology therapist and was born into being a facilitator.

    Eran is a well-trained and experienced practitioner of Ayurveda, yoga & meditation, combining in his therapy a vast knowledge to promote your healing and well-being. Gaining years of training, practice, and experience in India, Australia, and Israel, he brings a holistic and integral approach. He is certified by IAA (International Ayurveda Association), Tel Aviv University & Satyananda Yoga Academy.

The Yoga Forest is located in San Marcos la Laguna, in the western highlands of Guatemala. Here, you will enjoy the peace and tranquility of the mountains looking over Lake Atitlán towards the volcanoes San Pedro, Toliman, and Atitlán. This unique space will offer you a tropical food forest with amazing views, comfortable beds, and delicious vegetarian meals.

You will be served 3 delicious and nutritious vegetarian meals a day.

Arrival by airplane

Fly to La Aurora International Airport (GUA) in Guatemala City, then you will be picked up at the airport on the morning of February 23, or if you are arriving earlier to the area, take a shuttle to Panajachel. The Alchemy of Living can assist with booking a private shuttle if needed.
