You will stay in a traditional Konkan villa, modern yet austere, amid acres of greenery, with a yoga deck of your own and a stunning view of Gokarna’s pristine Om Beach and the Arabian Sea. Crafted in the colors of the earth, using local materials like laterite and coconut thatch, SwaSwara’s 24 Konkan villas are in harmony with the land that nurtures her.
The dwelling unit at SwaSwara is a villa that invites you to revel in the open and green spaces created within the confines of the walls. It affords all modern amenities, comforts, and privacy yet opens the skies and nature’s bounty to the senses. Each villa boasts a central open courtyard garden planted with herbs.
You will be accommodated in spacious Konkan-style villas (single and double occupancy available) that are set amid acres of unspoiled nature and are only a five-minute walk from the beach.

Nea has been traveling extensively in India since 2005 and has lost count of how many trips she has made. She first visited Gokarna in 2006 on her way to study at the Sri K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI) and is delighted to have the chance to return to this magical spot. She has been teaching Ashtanga yoga for nine years and has led retreats in Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Sri Lanka, Italy, and Zambia. She is an authorized KPJAYI level II teacher and teaches daily at Ashtanga yoga.
This retreat will take place in SwaSwara Ayurveda Retreat Center, Gokarna, Karnataka, India. The retreat center is located on the coast of Karnataka in beautiful and remote Gokarna, three hour’s drive from Goa International Airport (GOI). SwaSwara silently salutes the terrain, climate and natural offerings of the land, the architecture respecting the topography, and undulations.
Nestling atop a cliff overlooking the legendary Om Beach, SwaSwara is a serene and secluded resort located on the fringes of Gokarna, a temple town in Uttara Kannada, Karnataka. There is little at SwaSwara, apart from the rhythm of rolling waves and the meditative hum of birdsong to disturb your inner explorations.
During this retreat, you will be provided with three sattvic vegetarian meals per day (fresh fish is also available). It includes breakfast, lunch, and light dinner. SwaSwara specializes in the organic gourmet cuisine of fresh fish and vegetables cooked in almost zero oil with less dairy. They do not use any processed foods in the cooking and use molasses instead of refined white sugar as a sweetener.
For guests who have had their Prakruthi analysis done and been advised a Prakruthi Dosha-based diet, SwaSwara serves authentic Ayurveda cuisine. In addition, they also cater to guests who have been advised a raw diet by the naturopathy doctor, as well as guests who have vegan or lactose gluten-free diets.
Please book your flight to arrive at Goa International Airport (GOI). Transfer from the airport is included. SwaSwara will pick you up from the airport. You may depart from your home country on October 27, 2017 at night, so that you will arrive at the airport on October 28, 2017 in the morning.
