Stand up paddle boarding (or SUP)

SUP is recognized as being one of the fastest growing sports across the world. Not only does it provide an amazing full body workout, but it immerses you in a relaxing water based environment. Paddling on a SUP provides great cardio and core toning, but adding yoga creates a whole other dimension to the sport.

SUP Yoga & Fitness Malta have combined yoga with the stand up paddle board element to teach you to breathe, move, and be present not only on the water, but in your everyday life. This unique exercise blend will help you build on your body’s overall strength, stability, and flexibility. Combining breath with movement on a floating platform, you’re sure to find moments of fun, laughter, and focus.

The classes are designed to cater for all levels, from those with no prior yoga or SUP experience to serious practitioners of both, who would like to leap into a dynamic, joyful, and safe yoga practice on the water.

  • Rosita Jan

    Rosita Jan (RYT 500,E-RYT 200) is a traveller, entrepreneur and a yoga teacher residing in Malta. Rosita is the creator and lead teacher at SUP Yoga & Fitness Malta. Throughout her teaching years since 2012 Rosita has trained with a number of internationally acclaimed teachers: Briohny Smyth, Dice Iida-Klein, Honsa & Claudine Lafond, Mackenzie Miller, Mathieu Boldron and Lucas Rockwood. "Through yoga, I have found courage, confidence, strength, happiness and my true self. I am dedicated to helping my students live a happier, healthier, and more connected life through the practice of yoga.

Training will be provided in a few different locations around Malta in order to familiarize the students with different options for setting up a SUP class.

    "My friend and I had spent an awesome hour with Rosita on the board! This was the first time I did yoga on a board and it was a great experience. The sun was shining, water was warm, and with a light breeze, it didn't get too hot. We had our lesson with Rosita who was very patient and showed us everything. She also gave us same time afterwards just to paddle in the bay and took pictures of us. I can only recommend it!"
