    During this retreat, you will be staying in a rustic Canarian villa where the traditional atmosphere meets modern convenience. The spacious four-bedroom villa has a pool, overlooking the dreamy volcanic landscape and amazing sunrise and sunset views. The bedrooms spread on one level around a courtyard.

    All rooms are spacious and comfortable and you can choose from a shared twin room with shared bathroom, en-suite single room, or an en-suite double room with exit to the pool area.

    Are you searching for more health, happiness, and vitality? This yoga retreat is suitable for all open-minded and adventurous individuals of all ages and all levels of yoga. Either you are traveling alone, with a partner, or a family, you are always welcome and will feel right at home.

    This retreat is dedicated to your well-being, complementing the physical practice with meditation and whole food plant-based diet. Stayonmat's retreat center will ensure you personalized service and support you every step of the way to your transformation.

    The yoga practice will be a perfect balance of gentle flow, Hatha, and Yin yoga practiced on a beautiful villa terrace overlooking the wild volcanic landscape of Fuerteventura.

    Two meditation sessions are included in the program as well as movement meditation with a special focus on your personal health benefits, and workshops to learn about the benefits of a plant-based diet are also included. %The program includes three workshops - on intuitive eating and vegan cooking. You will learn how to prepare nutritious and delicious meals yourself, find out about the benefits of a vegan lifestyle, and learn how to optimally nourish your body on a whole plant-based diet.

    The classes are a creative and gently-paced type of flow yoga which brings balance to your body and mind. The movements are linked to the breath and classes are started with a number of sun salutations to warm and prepare your bodies for more intense stretching done towards the end of the class. The practice is gentle yet invigorating with plenty of modifications suitable for all levels.

    Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses which are held for longer periods of time (5 minutes or more) and work on your ligaments, fascia, tendons, and even bones, improving energy flow through the meridians in your body.

    • Day 3: Morning yoga, brunch, free time, vegan cooking workshop, dinner

      Tjasa has been practicing and studying the teachings of yoga for over two decades. She has trained in dynamic Vinyasa, Hatha, and more recently Yin yoga. For her, yoga is a way of connecting to the divine, finding stillness, staying in the present, and feeling grounded and balanced. She holds a certificate in plant-based nutrition through eCornell and believes that yoga combined with plant-based lifestyle leads to vibrant health, wellness, and compassion on the planet. She is also a lifestyle and nature photographer, specializing in yoga photography.

      Santosha Yoga Yoga Alliance RYT 200 (Hatha Yoga)

      Nina trained as a traditional Hatha yoga teacher and her yoga-teaching journey led her from Switzerland and Germany to Fuerteventura. Being a surf teacher herself, she loves teaching surfers and approaches every group differently depending on their needs. Sometimes, she takes it slow with restorative practices and sometimes practices more dynamic flow yoga or yoga Nidra to calm down and reconnect while relaxing to a meditative state. Also, she has completed her RYT 200 in Santosha Yoga.

    • Stan

      Stan was a sports teacher in Belgium for a decade. He decided to move to Fuerteventura to follow his childhood dream and spend more time in the ocean, exploring off the beaten paths of the island. Most of all, he loves to be in the water because there, he can ground himself the best. He will be there to help you answer all your questions with a big smile.

    This retreat will take place in a villa in Lajares, Spain. Lajares is a quaint and trendy little village nestled among the volcanoes of the north of Fuerteventura, on the way to the beaches of El Cotillo. Its main attraction is the Saturday's arts and crafts market. There are numerous cafes and restaurants you can choose from as well as a supermarket.

    The abundance of sunny days, mild climate, endless sandy beaches, impressive sand dunes, and mysterious volcanic landscape make Fuerteventura one of the perfect holiday destinations and a paradise for water sports all year round. The island was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and will amaze you with more than 100 kilometers of untouched coastline.

    Stayonmat will prepare hearty and nourishing vegan meals, all conscientiously designed, locally sourced, and organic (when possible). The kitchen is inspired by world cuisine from Indian, Spanish, to Moroccan. Breakfasts include fresh fruits, oatmeal, vibrant smoothies, pastries, preserves, and herbal teas.

    Stayonmat loves creamy curries, roasted sweet potatoes, heaps of fresh and colorful salads, quinoa tabboulehs, avocados, and chickpeas in every form. To end meals on a sweet note, be prepared for tantalizing raw vegan desserts.
