This 200-level yoga teacher training is a three-week intensive course. Available to all, even beginners, irrespective of yoga experience or practice. At the completion of this course, you will not only be well versed in yogic knowledge and wisdom, but also certified to offer classes, workshops and 100-hour yoga teacher training to your future clients.

Accommodation in shared and private rooms at our newly built school are surrounded by greenery and set in the tranquil atmosphere, looking into the sea in the distance from the rooftop. All rooms come with attached toilets and wonderful galleries facing the calm green surround the whole building on all levels.



Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive certificate affiliated with Yoga Alliance International. Registration with Yoga Alliance International provides a globally recognized credential.

What will you learn

  • ​During the course, the following techniques are applied in order to accomplish personal transformation for yourself.


Asana training and practice is your opportunity to examine the asanas in depth, learn safe hands-on adjustments, modifications, and precise alignment. These asanas can be modified and are suitable for everyone from beginners to advanced and offer a holistic approach to health, while focusing on chakra activation, back strengthening, ab strengthening and a standing series. Two asana classes a day are taught; one for your personal practice and development and one teaching you how to teach others. You also have the opportunity to get supervised teaching practice. You will come away with a thorough knowledge of the asana sequences and the physical aspects of yoga, such as anatomy and physiology.


Discover the healing potential of your breath. Breathing techniques are an essential component of Hatha yoga. Benefits include improved concentration, more energy, deeper sleep, and reduced stress levels. Not only does it feed the brain, but revitalises the body, since breath is the bridge between the body and the mind.


The science of vibration will be explored during the teacher training. Mantra chanting generates vibrations which are fundamental tools for altering the psyche, and producing a tranquil and balanced mind. In yogic practices, the growth of our awareness progresses with the help of these vibrations. By cleansing our minds with mantras, decision making becomes clearer, observation power is awakened; purification leads to improved concentration and a calm focused mind. Mantras will be translated and clearly explained.


Meditation, yoga Nidra, and other relaxation techniques are included in the Transformational yoga teacher training course in order to give us an experience of our pure natures, in which our egos dissolve and we find inner silence. We will introduce Raja yoga meditation, as well as silent walking meditation amongst others.

Sri Swami Vidyanand
Sri Swami Vidyanand is a renowned yoga Guru from India who created Transformational yoga and is the founder of Yoga Alliance International and Meditation Alliance International, Yoga Alliance India, Yoga Alliance Europe (organizations devoted to nurturing authentic yoga traditions throughout the world and foster a community of authentic yoga and meditation teachers, schools, and practitioners. A devotee and yogi inspired by The Mother and Sri Aurobindo, Swami Vidyanand was born in a family of renowned Bhakti yogis of an unbroken tradition of over 500 years.
Camille Gicquell
Camille Gicquel is chairperson of Yoga Alliance International, France. Camille was born in the west of France and got introduced to yoga thanks to her mom, an experienced practitioner, who convinced her to attend a class of Hatha yoga thinking that it may help channel her energy and anxious nature, and it was a revelation! However, after studying a diversity of fields and working in a lot of others, something was still missing in her life for her to be truly happy. She has a love for travelling and thirst for discoveries, encounters, and new experiences.

Visit the birthplace of yoga and you’ll understand why its traditions have endured for millennia and they continue to have relevance and value in the modern world.

This meditation teacher training course will take place at our headquarter in Kottakuppam, near Auroville and Pondicherry, in Tamil Nadu, southern India, a perfect location in close proximity to both the Matrimandir and the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, which The Mother had once called a veritable laboratory to work out the future society.

While it is inspired by and based on the Teachings of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo, Meditation Alliance International is an independent organization based in this region, and is not a part of the Auroville Foundation or Sri Aurobindo Ashram.
