During the retreat, you will stay at the beautiful Malomház of Dömös, which was converted into a retreat from an old watermill. You can stay in a private or shared room equipped with its own bathroom or choose the top floor room with the charm of a princess' tower and rooms with shared bathroom. The house has plenty of communal spaces, a large garden, an indoor and an outdoor fireplace, a built-in sauna, and lots of gorgeous plants.


When you explore movement in partnership, the point of balance is always somewhere in between the two. To find and maintain this, you need to stay present, find your own center first, and see how that can meet someone else’s.

During this retreat, you will start with connecting to yourself through yoga and meditation, then play with connections to others through acroyoga and guided Thai yoga massage sessions. Continuing in the tradition of AcroYoga Montreal, you will focus on creativity, playful flows, controlled movements, and an attitude that emphasizes compassionate communication.

Acroyoga is a multidisciplinary practice that combines acrobatics, yoga, improvisation, dance, and healing arts. It is all about trust, balance, and communication. You will not only learn how to support each other as partners but also how to let go; breaking down barriers and learning what it is that supports you. To enjoy this retreat, you don’t have to be an expert at acroyoga but it will support your practice if you do any kind of movement form and if you are open and willing.

Eszter Farkas
Eszter teaches soulful Vinyasa classes with a focus on creating space in the body and the mind. She has been regularly practicing yoga for a decade and is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance-certified instructor who prides herself on hands-on adjustments and offers creative, strong yet gentle classes. Eszter is also certified in AcroYoga by AcroYoga Montreal and practices Thai yoga massage, having been trained in Thailand, Hungary, and Italy.
Eva Brovinsky
Eva Brovinsky came to acroyoga via the path of Thai massage and through it learned to trust, open, fall, express what she needs and accept the needs of others. She is also a YogaSlackers and Vinyasa yoga teacher. In Slovenia, she founded Leteča joga, a community in which she shares her knowledge, skills and invites others to collaborate.

Destino del retiro

The retreat takes place at a wonderfully renovated, century-old watermill converted into a retreat that feels like a charming castle. The Malomház (or mill house) is at a 45-kilometer distance from the capital city of Budapest. It is reachable by car, bus, or boat. Dömös lies on the Danube River and the house is at the crossroads of various hiking paths, ideal for active leisure and relaxation.

The retreat serves delicious vegetarian meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Snacks and fruits during the day will be provided, as well as herbal teas. The first day starts with dinner and the last day ends with lunch. Dietary requirements can be accommodated with prior arrangement.

Some of the typical foods served for breakfast are heartwarming porridge with fruits and nuts, toast, freshly made spreads, and tea. For lunch, you can enjoy warm, veggie meals of seasonal vegetables with a healthy approach and vegan, sugar-free dessert. For dinner, you will be served light meals consisting of salad and relaxing herbal tea.

You are encouraged to go deeper into yourself as you enjoy the fresh air and the amazing nature around you. Wake up for the morning meditation in a calm atmosphere created with soft candle lights and incense, energize your body through the morning yoga flow, exchange ideas and stories with your fellow yogis, or enjoy herbal teas and fresh food.

Tratamientos de spa

The retreat includes 60 minutes of sauna use on arrival day or the next day in a cozy Finnish sauna on location. You will also have the opportunity to give and receive a 30-minute Thai yoga massage guided by Eszter, who was trained by the Sunshine Network based in Thailand.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD). From there you can rent a car or take a bus to get to the location.

Arrival by bus

From Budapest, you can take a bus to Dömös. The trip takes about one hour and 25 minutes. From the bus stop, the retreat venue Malomház is within a five-minute walk.
