He applies his solid experience and knowledge, in order to deepen the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga practice, combining it with alignment techniques from the Iyengar style and therapeutic benefits of Yoga. The Shree Hari Yoga School teaches how to cure disease with yoga, as well as an Ashram lifestyle, which is healthy for happy living and stress release.

Given the highly experienced yoga teachers to guide you, Shree Hari Yoga School wishes to take you on a learning journey through yoga, showing you how to live a yogic lifestyle. They aim to deepen your knowledge and understanding of yoga, helping you to connect to your true nature, both spiritually and physically. In understanding this true nature you can begin to work in harmony with your mind, body and spirit, hence reaching your highest potential whether this is through teaching yoga or as a yoga practitioner.

This 300-hour teacher training course includes different styles of yoga like Sivananda, power, flow, vinyasa, raja yoga and yoga therapy.

Syllabus outline

  • Module 1: Concept and meaning of yoga therapy, History of yoga therapy Characteristics of yoga therapy, Principles and basis of yoga therapy Integrated approach of yoga therapy .
  • Module 2: Concept of health and disease and Mechanism of disease according to yoga, Development and reversal of disease according to soul, mind, body approach.
  • Module 3: Physiology of stress and how stress leads to psychosomatic ailments; Stress management through yoga.
  • Module 4: Soul, mind and body approach and its use in understanding development of disease and reversal of disease.
  • Module 5: Yoga for common psycho-somatic ailment like back pain, Yoga for Sciatica Yoga for Diabetes, high blood pressure, Asthma, yoga for IBS, constipation and many other diseases, yoga in pregnancy, prenatal yoga and post-natal yoga.
  • Module 6: Concept and meaning of Multi-style yoga, rope yoga, chair yoga for treatment Physiological basis of dynamic and static forms of yoga Power Yoga, Flow yoga, Hatha vinyasa, Sivananda yoga,Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, Restorative yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Vinyasa flow yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Teaching methodology.
  • Module 7: Teaching Methodology and principles of teaching, teaching practice.
  • Module 8: Ayurveda - basic knowledge of Ayurveda which can help in healthy living, how to use Ayurveda according to dosha and to diagnose and cure, use of Ayurveda for sequencing and practice of yoga of one own kind.

Typical daily schedule

  • 07:00-10:00 Traditional Hatha yoga classes including kriya, pranayama, and asana practices
  • 09:00-10:00 Breakfast
  • 10:00-11:15 Yoga philosophy
  • 11:30-12:30 Anatomy
  • 12:30-14:45 Lunch hours
  • 14:45-15:45 The art of teaching methodology
  • 16:00-17:30 Afternoon asana, Ashtanga and Vinyasa therapeutical yoga practices
  • 17:30-18:30 Evening activities and arati

Note: the schedule above is applied for 6 days a week. The evening activities include meditation, Japa meditation, spiritual documentaries, kirtans, and satsangs.

Please note that the 300-hour yoga teachers certification is open for anyone who is interested in learning the ancient science of health and spirituality after finishing 200-hour yoga teacher training course at any yoga school. It is available for all of those who have some past experience with yoga, although your eligibility will be assessed after you send us the application form.

    Guru Hari was raised by a Nepalese father and Indian mother in a cross cultural context near Rishikesh. From an early age, Hari rejoiced in and sung mantra. Presently, Guru Hari teaches a traditional Hatha yoga combined with classical knowledge, experiential understanding and wisdom, as well as a modern outlook. This style of yoga teaching by Guru Hari is essentially a Nath lineage tradition. Guru Hari is also a chef of Ayurvedic food which is known in yogi terminology as sattvic food.

Dharamshala is located in Himachal Pradesh, Northern India and is surrounded by dense coniferous forest consisting mainly of Deodar cedar trees. The suburbs include McLeodGanj, Bhagsunath, Dharamkot and Naddi. The beautiful hills surrounding this area are covered by pine, Himalayan oak and rhododendron flowers.Dharamshala is the centre of the Tibetan exile world in India. Following the 1959 Tibetan uprising there was an influx of Tibetan refugees who followed the 14th Dalai Lama. His presence and the Tibetan population has made Dharamshala a popular destination for Indian and foreign tourists, including students studying Tibet.

You will be served three daily Satvic vegetarian meals, along with healthy snacks and drinks.

One of the main attractions of Dharamshala is Triund hill. Being considered the jewel of Dharamshala, Triund is a one-day trek at the upper reaches of McLeodGanj, about 9 kilomreters from McLeodGanj.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Dharamshala Gaggal Airport (DHM), which is about 12 kilometers south from Dharamshala and about 10 kilometers north of Kangra, Himachal Pradesh town.

Arrival by train

To reach Dharamshala by train, one has to reach Kangra, Himachal Pradesh town by Kangra Valley Railway line from Pathankot, which is 94 kilometers away and then take a bus or a taxi. Pathankot is a broad gauge railway head. There is another railway line from Pathankot to Jogindernagar, a part of the Mandi District of Himachal Pradesh, which is a narrow-gauge line. The nearest station to Dharamshala on this line is Chamunda Marg, half an hour away, where a Shaktipitha is; the town is well connected by road to other parts of the country.

Arrival by bus

Buses of all classes (deluxe, air-conditioned, and regular) ply daily between Dharamshala and major cities such as Chandigarh, Delhi, and Shimla. Several buses each night connect McLeodGanj with Majnu Ka Tila, the Tibetan settlement in Delhi.
