Shivalaya Yoga and Meditation Center has specially designed several options for you to learn the basic principles of Yoga. This practice will give you a deep understanding and basic practice of this ancient art. With the help of Shivalaya’s certified teachers (US Yoga Alliance), your will be kindly offered a professional and safe environment to learn asana or postures, meditation, chanting, pranayama, daily satsang and kriyas. These techniques will provide freedom and ease to unite the body, mind and breath according to Hatha yoga.

Shivalaya Yoga & Meditation & Retreats Center offers a rustic accommodation with both attached and common rooms, set in an attractive natural garden. It is the perfect location for those who wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse themselves in the natural beauty and peace which this quite village offers. This is an ideal location for those wanting to deepen their practice of yoga and meditation.

Rooms overlook the lake. The bed is comfortable and the linens are fresh. The room is spacious and comfortable with private bathroom. Private and shared rooms are also available.

Instructores

Avinash Mishra
Avinash is one of the next generation yoga teachers who's shaping yoga’s future. He finished his bachelor of science in yoga therapy in India at S-vyasa University in Bangalore. Avinash teaches Hatha yoga and his inspiring classes encourage students to move more mindfully; helping them to be more aware of their habits of body and mind. At the age of ten, yoga came into his life and he never stopped since. He organized many teacher training courses, internationally leading workshops, and retreats.

Destino del retiro

This retreat will take place at Pokhara, overlooking Begnas Lake. You will feel at ease as there are no shops or restaurants to disturb your peace. The yoga and meditation center is surrounded by the beautiful, quiet, and freshwater Begnas Lake. When you are living close to the mountains and forests, it helps quiets the mind and recharges your energy.

¿Cómo llegar?

Arrival by bus

If you take a local bus to Begnas Lake, it will take approximately 60 minutes and the costs 0.5 USD. You will have to walk for 15 minutes from the bus stop over the Begnas Valley dam and then take the second set of stairs on the hill. Once you reach the top of the stairs, head up to Shivlalaya.

Arrival by taxi

You can take a taxi from Pokhara Lakeside to Pokhara Begnas Lake or request to be dropped off at the bottom of Piple Village. It will take approximately 25 minutes and the cost is 10 USD. Once you are confirmed, Shivalaya Yoga & Meditation & Retreats Center will send you their phone number which you can use to contact them once you have arrived and they will meet you at the bottom of the hill to carry your luggage up a small path to their retreat center.
