This is an ideal location for those wanting to deepen their practice of yoga and meditation.
Rooms overlook the lake. The bed is comfortable and the linens are fresh. The room is spacious and comfortable with private bathroom. Private and shared rooms are also available.

At Shivalaya Yoga & Meditation & Retreats Center, you will learn directly from the guru himself along with their experienced teachers. They have a family atmosphere where your learning experience is very personal and hands-on. Your teachers are approachable and open to questions. Shivalaya Yoga & Meditation & Retreats Center is a certified by Yoga Alliance. During this training course, you will learn in depth multiple aspects of yoga, both practical and philosophical. Through Hatha yoga, you will learn shatkarma techniques - how to cleanse the body to open the energy channels (nadis), followed by asana, pranayama, mudra, and bhanda so that the prana can flow. This will lead you to Ashtanga yoga to control the mind through meditation. By the practice of Mantra yoga, you will learn how to activate the dormant energy.
Then Kundalini yoga will take you to the next level, how to unlock this vital energy, and use it for awakening the chakras and higher levels of consciousness. You will be empowered to share this knowledge and gain the confidence to give the experience of yoga to others through these teachings. You will be ready to teach students of different levels for therapeutic purposes or to awaken their spiritual consciousness.
The daily activities provide a balanced mix of all the aspects a great yogi embodies including disciplined daily practice, knowledge, devotion, action or work, healthy food, rest, nature, service, and community.

During the month you will go on at least two outings as a group to visit someplace significant, such as the Pashupati Temple (the most important Shiva temple in the world) and Dakshina Kali temple, a powerful shakti center. You will go there for meditation and spiritual practice.

Since Yogini Gopika was a young girl she was in love with the deep beauty and peace found in Nature. For her life was always full of magic and mystery. Upon getting her first real job after college, she can remember thinking with a feeling of longing for something greater that here must be more to life than this. Upon discovering yoga, everything transformed and she made a swift exit from mainstream society in search of life’s true meaning. After teaching yoga in New York City for about a year she journeyed to India.
Guru Yogi Prakash, found of Shanti Yoga Ashram, was born in the family of the enlightened yoga master Yogi Hari Dhungana. He has been practicing yoga since the age of twelve and studied at the Bihar School of Yoga. For the past 10 years, he has continued to deepen his knowledge in Nepal with an authentic Tantra yoga master. Even before the establishment of Shanti Yoga Ashram in 2001, spiritual seekers have found their way to Guruji's front door to receive his teachings, which he generously shares with much devotion.
Meera has always been sensitive to subtle matter and keen on the spiritual aspect of human nature. Willing to expand her awareness, she has been exploring Asia, studying Eastern philosophy, religion, traditions of different nations and improving her yoga and meditation techniques. Her main purpose was to find the optimal way to unblock the potential of mind and body. The path has brought her to Shanti Yoga Ashram; where she realized that Tantra comprises all the essential elements for nourishing the inner light, connecting with divine powers and living a harmonious life full of joy and bliss.
This retreat will take place at Pokhara, overlooking Begnas Lake. You will feel at ease as there are no shops or restaurants to disturb your peace. The yoga and meditation center is surrounded by the beautiful, quiet, and freshwater Begnas Lake. When you are living close to the mountains and forests, it helps quiets the mind and recharges your energy.
This teacher training course includes organic meals three times a day and herbal tea or coffee. Shivalaya Yoga & Meditation & Retreats Center offers a healthy and balanced vegetarian diet based on Asian cuisine and tea prepared from several species of Nepal. Most of the vegetables, fruits, and ingredients come from the local farmers.
Please book your flight to arrive at Pokhara Airport (PKR). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Shivalaya Yoga & Meditation & Retreats Center will pick you up from the airport.
You should arrive on the first day before 10 p.m. and leave on the last day after 11 a.m. anytime.
The complimentary pickup and drop off service is also available at bus station. In addition, there's local bus to Begnas Lake. This will take approximately 60 minutes and the cost are 50 INR. Around 15 minute walk from the bus stop, go over the Begnas valley dam and then the second set of stairs on the hill. Once you reach the top of the stairs, head up to Shivalaya Yoga & Meditation & Retreats Center.
There's also taxi to Begnas Lake. You can request to be dropped off at the bottom of Piple Village. This will take approximately 25 minutes and the cost are around 1,000 INR.
