Join Satori Retreats in Dominical, Costa Rica to soak yourself in the warm Costa Rican southern Pacific Ocean! During this retreat, you will enjoy yoga and surf every day. You will also explore the jungle and discover waterfalls on the exploration trips. This retreat will give you the inspiration, knowledge, and unstoppable confidence to practice and learn how to live your yoga on and off the mat!
During this retreat, you will stay in a shared room at the Danyasa Yoga Center. The king rooms have the option of a king bed plus a single bed or three single beds. All rooms have private bathrooms and showers and offer air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, free filtered water, access to shared decks, a lounge area, and a fully equipped kitchen. They also have a balcony, an in-safe, and will provide towels.
The Danyasa Yoga Center offers an intimate eco-accommodation experience. The rooms qualify as truly eco-friendly because they were created out of beautifully refurbished (up-cycled) cargo containers. Also, the center uses only the most eco-friendly soaps, detergents, and cleaning products.
During this retreat, you will enjoy two daily yoga classes paired with meditation. You will wake up each morning where the ocean meets the jungle. Every day will start with a yoga class. You will also nourish yourself with three healthy, local meals a day. During your free time, you may lay in the warm sand under the sun as you listen to the ocean waves, read a book, or write in your journal.
Also, you will connect to your inner child as you play and participate in a partner yoga workshop. Another amazing activity waiting for you is a surf lesson in the warm waters of the Costa Rican southern Pacific ocean along with adventuring into the jungle and discovering waterfalls.
This retreat includes an excursion to a waterfall and daily beach trips.
This retreat will be held at the Danyasa Yoga Center in Dominical, Costa Rica, located in the Southern Osa Peninsula.
The quaint beach town of Dominical lies on the northern border of the Osa Peninsula, considered the most bio-diverse place on Earth by the National Geographic Society and the United Nations. Dominical and the surrounding areas boast world class surf, lush jungle covered mountains that soar from the sea, an abundance of exciting adventure opportunities, and spectacular natural attractions ranging from waterfalls to sea caves to hidden beaches.
Dominical offers a number of great restaurants, from local “tipico” cuisine to international options such as sushi, Mexican, vegetarian, cafes, steak houses, and more. Most everything you need can be easily gotten in Dominical, with amenities such as a health food store with over 100 organic fruits and vegetables as well as natural products, an artisan market, a bank, a variety of stores, and several grocery stores.

During this retreat, you will be served daily healthy, local breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free meals will be offered daily. The first day will feature a dinner out with your group.
For the second day, the menu for breakfast is blackberry banana chia pudding with ground almonds, black sesame, and toasted coconut and fruit salad. For lunch, you may make your own spicy tempeh lettuce wraps, with peanut satay rice noodle salad, Chinese cabbage, and almond slaw. For dinner, you will enjoy minestrone quinoa soup, roast vegetable medley, and a green salad.
The fourth day, cinnamon oatmeal porridge, nuts, and dried fruit with watermelon liner lime and a mint smoothy will feature for breakfast. For lunch, you will enjoy avocado cucumber gazpacho with mixed bean and lentil salad, light greens with seed topping and yogurt dressing, and yucca flat breads will be served.
The menu for the fifth day will be a tropical fruit salad with honey granola and coconut yogurt for breakfast. Black bean tempeh chili, sweet savory rice with almonds, leafy greens and roast corn salsa and spring onions will be available for lunch, and tofu and veg tiki masala will be the menu for dinner.
The sixth day will include a mango chia pudding with green smoothy for breakfast, spiralized zucchini, spinach, and roast pepper salad with toasted sesame, sunflower seeds, and lemon basil and olive oil dressing for lunch, and for dinner there will be vegan sushi rolls and soy sauce. The last day will receive you with gluten free peanut butter banana pancakes with honey for breakfast.
During your free time, you may enjoy visiting the spa and booking some massage packages and treatments such as a Thai massage, a deep tissue massage, a Swedish treatment, or a customized combination. You may also enjoy the temple body arts course. If you want to visit the beach and enjoy your time there, you may snorkel, dive, or swim.
You could also explore the Cano Island, the Manuel Antonio National Park, the hot springs, or book a place at the Mangrove Monkey tour. Other activities you may enjoy are deep sea fishing, kayaking, and zip lining.
Please book your flight to arrive at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO). Transfer from and to the airport can be arranged by a shuttle service offered by Satori Retreats. Please send them an inquiry for more information about this option.
You may also book a flight to Quepos La Managua Airport after arriving at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO). From here, you may take a taxi or rent a car to drive around 30 minutes south towards Dominical.
Public buses can take you from downtown San Jose right to Danyasa. The buses leave from the Tracopa bus terminal. You will have to buy a ticket to Uvita, but you can get off anywhere. Make sure you get off in Dominical and don’t go all the way to Uvita. Bus times vary, but it takes around 5 hours to get to Dominical.
