The retreat will take place in Koh Samui, Thailand. Samahita Retreat is located on the south coast of this tropical island in the Gulf of Thailand that still has long stretches of pristine beaches and unspoiled land. The ideal setting for Thailand holiday packages, it is only about an hour away from Bangkok by air, an hour plus from Singapore, and three hours from Hong Kong. Koh Samui has the allure of a remote island paradise, but with the accessibility of the regions most popular destinations.
Situated on Laem Sor Beach, near the well-known Laem Sor Pagoda, Samahita is about 45 minutes drive from the airport, 35 minutes from Chaweng shopping area, 25 minutes from Lamai shopping area, and 20 minutes from Nathon, the picturesque port town of Samui. It is surrounded by towering coconut trees in a quiet and spacious area with incredible sunrises and sunsets that play with the colors of the water, sand, and tropical fauna.
Only a few hundred meters away is the well-known Laem Sor Pagoda, which houses the remains of Leung Poo Daeng, a realized monk. The only other structures in the area are villas privately owned. The beach is non-touristy and virtually undisturbed, creating a beautiful, peaceful setting for you to enjoy your Thailand stay. This side of the island is protected by a natural reef. The tide varies across the year where mid-year months are low swimming times, except for the boat channels.
The main shopping areas are still within easy reach, about 20 to 30 minutes away by car or motorbike. However, the beauty here is Samahita Retreat’s gentle setting, inspiring long, refreshing walks on the beach or through the meandering green back roads. You may see a water buffalo grazing or families of chickens running free. You can enjoy other activities at Samahita.
You will be served a welcome drink upon arrival and daily buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner with mineral drinking water included in the price. Every single menu served at the buffet is detailed on the blackboard just outside the dining area. On it, you will find clearly noted symbols stating if the dish is vegan, contains wheat or eggs, and a host of other allergens that they have come across over the past 15 years serving thousands of people. Below are dishes provided during the buffet.
Mother nature’s gift right at your feet. You can go barefoot and ground yourself. Samahita is situated on a quiet and peaceful stretch of beach that extends out for a beautiful four-kilometer walk. You can enjoy the unique colors of our piercing sunrise and special backlit sunsets clouds.

All you can do on a paddle board but sitting down in a kayak, which makes it easier to venture out further along our tropical coastline. Please inquire at the wellness reception for a complimentary use.
Thai culture is rich in food stalls and street vendors. Numerous night markets happen on the island on different evenings. Samahita Retreat has chosen two of the best for you to explore, Bophut Fisherman’s market in the northern part of Koh Samui and the very own local Ban Thale market from which you can return by beach walk. Samahita Retreat arranges transport. Please sign up at the reception and see YogaCoreCycle weekly schedule for details.
You can explore the water, find your balance, and even steady your core as you stand or kneel and paddle or even try a yoga posture or two. Samahita Retreat has a perfect shallow basin with calm waters to practice on in front of your retreat and a deeper boat channel to journey out beyond the reef for the more experienced. Please inquire at the wellness reception to sign out a board for a complimentary use.
Every week, Samahita Retreat organizes a boat trip for all of their in-house guests. Local long tail fisher boats with shaded seating take you to visit one of the local islands and to snorkel in these tropical waters and walk the quiet, secluded island beach. When tide and weather permitting you can board and return to Samahita’s beach. See YogaCoreCycle weekly schedule for details. Please sign up at the reception.
At the far west end of Samahita’s beach is one of Samui’s oldest and locally most revered landmarks, the Laem Sor Pagoda. The in-house team arranges this beach and hill temple walk every week. Please sign up at the reception.
You will relax with a 60-minute body and soul massage session in your free time.
