Samahitas YogaCoreCycle program has been conceived by Paul Dallaghan (founder), based on over 20 years of experience in the world of yoga, health and fitness. YogaCoreCycle divides the sessions into focused areas for body, breath, and mind.
Dedicated Yoga sessions involve meditation and breath work followed by foundational and grounding yoga pose classes. Core; combines functional fitness, core and strength work with TRXs, Bosus, stability balls, Uggis and more to work all muscle groups of the body in a unique fitness combo. Dynamic Cycle classes combine fun, music and cardio in a high intensity sea-view work out.
The combined focus and effort serves to highlight mental and physical stability, strength training, balance, agility, weight loss and cardio in one fully integrated health and fitness program.
Peoples backgrounds, diet, and lifestyle differ. Similarly, the intensity of a detox program must also offer a differentiation. For certain body types or high levels of toxicity, a strong fast would not be advised but rather a supported approach. For others with slower metabolism and experience in detoxing, a fasting oriented approach may suit.
For this reason, detox retreat in Samahita will be personalized your according to your needs, goals, and preferences. Samahita will balance them with its professional expertise to provide you with the perfect detoxing experience. The daily detox support meeting provides an opportunity for adjusting your program as needed. Whether you are joining for short wellness weekend or an extended detox program, Samahitas team is standing by to support you.
The yogis detox program is ideal for those who want to detoxify while maintaining a yoga practice or for those who have not detoxed before. Using a simple, mono-diet (one primary food) to rest the digestive system and re-kindle the digestive fire, the organs of digestion come into balance with one another ensuring a fundamental change in the way food is digested. Yogis detox is ideal for those with digestive problems such as IBS, constipation, gas and bloating, for those who are underweight or who have a high metabolic rate, for those who suffer with insomnia, anxiety, or nervousness, for those used to eating a rich diet, and for those who may be prone to post-detox bingeing.
The main component of the mono-diet is kitcheri, a delicious stew made of mung lentils, rice, ghee, ginger, and other spices, the ingredients of which have a cleansing effect on the liver and the gastro-intestinal tract. It is nourishing yet light and contains a complete form of protein. It is Sattvic food which means it promotes mental clarity and peace of mind. It is a particularly supportive food during a detox program; it is said to balance every facet of the body and mind. During the yogis detox program, you will also receive detox herbal supplements, fresh fruits, fresh wheatgrass and detox juices, detox broths / soups, and fresh herbal teas.
This detox is specifically beneficial to the bodys digestive fire or agni. Because it uses warming and light food, which is also detoxifying, it encourages a gradual regulation of the agni with a gradual burning up of the bodys toxins. During this detox, you will feel that changes are occurring from deep within the body.
Each participant has the choice, though it is recommended, to add in this flush towards the end of the detox program. It aids the detoxification process. The liver flush helps prevent gall stones, lower cholesterol levels in the blood, reduce referred pains from the liver or gall bladder (e.g. shoulder pain), reduce and prevent liver related headaches and migraines (i.e. those with nausea), help food allergies, help in weight reduction, constipation, and improve vitality levels.
From a dietary perspective, it is best to restrict the following for at least 7 days prior to your detox program for maximum detox preparation:
And to increase your intake of these food:
Try to see the dietary changes as steps on your way to a healthier, happier lifestyle.
