Accommodation is provided in beautifully furnished 5-metre bell tents. Nestled amongst the lemon and orange groves, the bell tents are simple but sumptuous, with electricity and comfortable beds. Each tent can sleep up to three people. Crisp bed linen and pool towels are provided. There are solar hot and cold powered showers facilities. Internet access is available. There is a small shop on site for all those little essentials you might need.
Swamiji Purohit is a true master of yoga and meditation from the Giri line of traditional Himalayan yogis, whose powerful teachings have transformed Leonie's yoga practice and her life. Leonie has a profound interest in all yoga paths and understanding from personal experience that they all seem to interconnect and complement each other and lead to the expansion of consciousness.
We will be using the ancient wisdom of regular asana, pranayama, pratyahara and meditation practice we will stimulate and revive our energetic body, including chakras, vayus and nadies. Drawing our attention deeply inside, we will encourage this movement and the gradual release of any blockages that could have led to dis ease, leaving us more and more free to express the purest potential of who we really are. This process has endless physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits and strengthens our soul connection. We will be exploring chakra awareness to deepen our practice and ascend the limbs of the 8 fold yoga tree.
Patanjalis 8 fold path is often compared to a sturdy tree, through all seasons. The roots represent Yama (ethical precepts of yoga); the Nyamas (inner values) form the trunk; Asana (steady, comfortable posture) - strong and sturdy branches; Pranayama (breathwork) - the leaves opening to receive vital energy; Pratyahara (turning inwards) - the buds/preserving life force; Dharana (contemplation) - focus on blossoming; Dhyana (concerntration) - fragrant flowering; and Samadhi (unity) - enjoying the fruits of our Yoga practice.

Thinking often over complicates our world. Animals and plants are a good example of how simple life looks when we follow our inner knowing. We are all part of this one miraculous creation, where nature provides all the instructions we need to take the right path in every moment; but are we listening? In this workshop we will discuss some different methods of bypassing the conscious mind and learn some simple techniques to tune in to this inner instruction from nature that is available to all of us. We will have a go at dowsing and learn how to perform a simple allergy test. The mind may be full of contradictions but for the body there is usually one clear path.
An introductory workshop to learn the basic recipe of this simple and powerful technique that can be used to quickly to restore internal balance in a wide variety of situations. Using a gentle tapping motion to some meridian points in easily accessible areas of the body we can work through and dissolve layers of emotion, often discovering the root of an issue that was previously hidden. I have been using this technique with many clients, friends and myself for 15 years and have found it extremely useful to help de-stress body and mind. It is often very effective to use in relation to physical issues as well as mental and emotional and often helps to relieve pain in emergency situations, including ones that happened many years before; (as in post traumatic stress disorder, PTSD).
In this practical workshop we will learn some ways of looking after, cleansing and re-charging crystals; how to use our intuition and some simple principles to select them and bring holistic healing to ourselves and others. We will have a go at using crystal nets for chakra balancing and some other specific purposes.
Many years ago I remember doubting the fact that crystals could have a powerful effect on the human body and was grateful when someone pointed out that they are the source of power in computers and mobile phones! I discovered how dramatically they can offer relief when I was in a crisis situation many years ago and have been grateful for their help ever since; using them therapeutically on myself and in my work as a holistic therapist.
A presentation and group discussion on this endlessly fascinating theme. We will read quotes from ancient texts and masters of yoga to enrich our depth of understanding of what yoga means and how to unfold its incredible potential within ourselves. We will look into the nature of our True selves through conscious introspection and breath deeply into the heart of our being. Culminating with a lovely kirtan (Devotional singing of ancient mantras to music) to leave us tingling with the love of life.
In this session we will explore isolating different areas of the body to move every muscle and joint that it contains. As well as being lots of fun, belly dancing is very therapeutic in moving our energy, mobilizing chakras, joints and muscles; leading to increased overall flexibility and wellbeing. In dancing we stimulate the divine feminine principle that exists in all of us, encouraging us to peacefully flow with the current of our lives. Music is the food of life and dance is to let go into its nurturing rhythm. Belly dancing is not just for women! Some of the most famous belly dancers in the world are actually men.
Times will vary slightly on each retreat. There is one workshop a day, it may be in the morning or afternoon. There is also the option to visit local markets on Wednesday and Sunday
She has completed yoga teacher training in India and Spain. She loves teaching as has a great interest in healing and transformation and is deeply inspired by the possibilities of empowering people to heal themselves through yoga. Her preferred style is a fusion of traditional Hatha yoga and the Pure yoga of Swami Purohit. In her classes you can expect plenty of stimulating and opening movement, followed by deep relaxation, powerful pranayama breathing exercises and access to deeper levels of consciousness inside you.She has an interest in all yoga paths.

Stimulate all your senses whilst you absorb the bright colors, beautiful textures, tantalizing flavors, and sublime aromas of the fresh food served at Rustic Retreats. The chef will create a myriad of fresh, healthy vegetarian meals to tantalize your pallet, all using the ripest, freshest, seasonal ingredients that are locally produced either from their very own organic garden and vegetable patch or from the local market and farmers.
Varieties of fruit are growing freely on the site such as lemons, oranges, almonds, pomegranate, and carob to name but a few. All vegetarian meals are lovingly prepared by a trained chef in the outdoor kitchen and are served 'al fresco' whenever possible. All meals are included in the price. The meals have been so popular with the clients that they are looking at producing a recipe book for next season.
All day snack menu is available but cost is not included in the price. Alcohol is available at a small extra charge.
Fly into to Alicante, then it's a 2-hour train journey (6 EUR) through the beautiful Spanish countryside down to Totana station where Rustic Retreats will collect you.
