For this retreat the entire Bodhi Tree Resort has been reserved for your week stay! The resort is surrounded by jungle and situated on a three mile long sand beach in the heart of a yoga -surf town.

Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort opened its doors in 2014 for travelers that want to enjoy the magic of Costa Rica in a very unique and healthy way. Enjoy the high-end accommodations, superb dining experience, world class yoga and pilates studios, gym, spa, juice bar, and boutique. Come visit and discover Costa Rica’s finest yoga resort and retreat sanctuary. The resort houses 45 to 65 guests, fresh locally prepared meals daily, 25-meter salt water-lap pool, spa, juice bar, three beautiful yoga shalas, gym, cycle studio (10-20 bikes), three minute walk to the beach, complimentary beach bikes, complimentary Bodhi bus shuttle service around town, monkeys, and more!


Every day you are offered a variety of fitness classes that are taught by three Minneapolis masters: Adrienne Fitzmaurice, Jill Winter & Jim Stathis. Classes offered include:

Yoga Sculpt

Yoga Sculpt is a powerful Vinyasa yoga class, linking breath and movement. Free weights are incorporated into the sequencing, to challenge the breath and the body. Class is for all levels and modifications will be given.

Pilates Mat

Pilates Mat classes are a fun and challenging way to experience the pilates method. The mat repertoire consists of more than 45 different exercises that will challenge the smaller, more refined muscles of your body, along with breath, and rhythm. Pilates introduces the balance of strength and flexibility into one's body. Pilates exercises and principles can prevent injury, reduce re-injury and lessen chronic pain. Be prepared to sweat, move, and learn! Class is for all levels and modifications will be given.


This class is done 30 minutes on the mat and 30 minutes at the barre. A series of exercises are performed to create a balance between strength and flexibility. Students are taught how to be aware of their own proper alignment and full body strength, by challenging muscles to their full capacity. Class is done to fun upbeat music and is challenging on the muscles! Class is for all levels and modifications will be given.


Enjoy The Bodhi Tree's brand new cycle studio in the jungle! This upbeat class will get your heart pumping and your sweat on! Done to fun upbeat music to help you cycle your heart out. Class is for all levels and modifications will be given.


Born in the Navy Seals, this suspension training bodyweight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a highly portable performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user's body weight to complete hundreds of exercises. Class is for all levels and modifications will be given.

Restorative yoga

This is a deeply healing and relaxing group class. Restorative yoga is a form of yoga that seeks to achieve physical, mental, and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. The use of props makes it easier for you to maintain balance while you are stimulating and relaxing your body. Students are guided through various asanas (mainly lying on your back, side, or stomach) throughout the class. Yoga blocks, bolsters, and pillows will be used to ensure complete relaxation. Class is for all levels and modifications will be given.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Liberia International Airport (LIR). Pura Vida Retreat will assist with transportation to the Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort (not included in price).
