The Island Hideout is located hilltop on the south-western peninsula of Koh Yao Noi. All of the Thai-style lodges are constructed with eco-friendly building materials from local sources and crowned with natural palm leaf roofs. Designed with organic simplicity in mind, they are crafted to the highest quality and comfort standards in the region, striking balance between open-air living and privacy.
Spacious beam-work, three exposed faces with bamboo blinds and an open-air bathroom inspire a strong sense of immersion with your surroundings, complete with breathtaking views of lush, tree-lined grounds and the sparkling waters of Phang Nga Bay.

Bryan Kahn is a teacher and trainer who leads workshops, training, and retreats internationally. He has taught from New York to Miami, Goa to Rishikesh, Abu Dhabi to Bangkok, and the Thai Islands. He has studied throughout India and the US and expands his awareness through ongoing study as he revisits his teachers and explores new cultures around the world every year. Bryan delivers a gentle, yet dynamic practice that will both have you exploring mentally, physically, and energetically. Bryan has been vegan for 17 years and believes that a plant-based diet can lead to a healthy lifestyle.
Davin’s teachings are from the traditions of Hatha, Ashtanga, and Iyengar yoga. Davin combines these styles to create classes which can be challenging on occasion, with the awareness to adapt the practice to different levels of practitioners. He guides classes with clear instruction on posture alignment to allow the practitioner to create a fundamental understanding of the physical body. His classes are known to be vinyasa based with dynamic flows through the posture with an occasion to hold postures to create depth and deeper understanding of the practice.

The meals are from local and organic sources, prepared and cooked traditionally via open fire within The Island Hideout handmade wood burning oven or grill, and offer a powerful blend of healing, empowering, and enzyme-rich foods.

Get ready to really see Koh Yao Noi’s nature and people and be prepared for a fun and challenging day. This tour combines small paved roads with very little traffic as well as some dirt tracks through jungle areas and rubber trees. Some of the off road sections are hilly and can be a bit challenging but don’t worry you can do it.
You will drive through their small market town, rice paddies, pass mosques and fishing villages, through areas of natural jungle rich in plant life and fauna. You will stop at some places to get an insight in local crafts and farming. You will stop at a beach for lunch and a refreshing dip in the ocean.
Koh Yao is one of the best places for bird watching. The island is home to many mangrove forests, which attract many birds such as white-bellied sea-eagles, mangrove whistlers, mangrove pittas, flyeaters, and kingfishers. The oriental pied hornbill is also easy to spot on Koh Yao Noi.
A must do and unforgettable memory is a boat trip in the traditional wooden longtail boats. Enjoy a relaxing day of sightseeing, swimming, and snorkeling.
