During the retreat, Paros Yoga Shalla offers accommodation at Sunrise Hotel Apartments in Paros, a beautiful and cozy place that offers spectacular views over the Naoussa bay and is settled just a five-minute walk away from the yoga studio. Decorated with the traditional Cycladic Greek island village style, the accommodation is offered in single rooms equipped with a satellite television, air conditioning, telephone, private bathroom, hair-dryer, and fridge.
You will be also able to enjoy the communal facilities such as swimming pool, bar area, living room with a large screen television, computer, and a selection of board games. The facilities also include a shaded barbecue area, a restaurant, and a parking lot.
During this retreat, you will get unlimited access to group yoga classes, personal yoga, and a tailored personalized practice to take home. You will experience the Mandala of practices: Pranayama, meditation, Vinyasa yoga, Hatha yoga, Yin yoga, yoga Nidra, and body enhancement, as well as transformational yoga and awareness though the body. You can choose the classes you wish and leave others.
This will be an integral practice that cultivates presence as embodiment. The program includes group classes all day and personal guidance with experienced teachers, as well as time to rest and enjoy the island. Also, you will have access to variety of alternative wellness sessions and massages.
Yoga sessions are rejuvenating and balancing solar and lunar practices. The emphasis of the classes is on fluidity through the breath and awareness through the body. In every class, you will move creatively through all groups of asana, creating full body transformation, circulation, and centering.
Classes are given in English and the daily morning practice lasts for three hours, while the afternoon one lasts two hours and 30 minutes. Mats and other props used are available at Yoga Shala, you do not need to take anything with you. Practices will be at the yoga shala in Naousa village and some practices outdoors will be scheduled during the retreat.
Anapnoe yoga practice is a transforming journey of experience, an approach to yoga as conscious evolution. It is a gentle, yet deeply grounding and strengthening Vinyasa yoga practice that encourages the fluidity of the spine. Through deep long breathing, you will explore the divine wisdom of nature that lies within. The movement and breath awareness liberates the body and mind from deep rooted imprints.
Through this Vinyasa yoga practice, you become more receptive, finding your body’s natural flow and expression as the movement unfolds from your core out in all directions. It is an integral practice that cultivates presence as an embodiment. The teaching of Anapnoe yoga is based upon the ancient Hatha yogic texts, which state that all fixed forms should be practiced with the aim to develop free organic movement, unfolding from within, as a necessary step in the cultivation of longevity.
The set forms and sequencing of Anapnoe yoga, or Vinyasa Krama, contain within them all groups of asana (body positions) and movements, such as standing, pumping, sitting, weighing, lying, and bending in all directions, s well as inverting, spiraling, turning, and twisting for the proper development and fluidity of the spine. All these, combined with suitable rhythmic breathing, bring about the unfolding of inner strength, harmony, and awareness of the self.
Irana Ji An
Irana Ji An Fouriulis es una profesora de yoga que ha estado enseñando yoga por más de una década y ha practicado por más de 20 años. Es fundadora y directora de ParosYoga Shala y ParosYoga Retreats and Workshops. This retreat will take place in Naoussa, one the most picturesque villages of Paros. Located in the north part of the island, Naoussa is considered to be an oasis of art and culture, filled with gourmet restaurants, and chic boutiques.
The price of the retreat includes breakfast and dinner. The Mediterranean breakfast will be served at the tranquil hotel's restaurant, where you will be able to enjoy amazing food surrounded by incredible views. At night, Paros Yoga Shalla suggests taking a short walk to Open Garden Restaurant for a delicious dinner. The menu at the restaurant has been developed by chef Elda Molla following basic Ayurveda principles and creatively using different herbs, colors, and textures.

Please book your flight to arrive at Paros National Airport (PAS). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Paros Yoga Shalla will pick you up from the airport.
You should arrive in Athens before noon so you can take the bus to the Piraeus port and catch the 5:30 p.m. ferry to Paros. There is a shuttle service from Athens International Airport (ATH) to Piraeus port for 10 EUR, which leaves every 20 minutes.
Boats depart daily from Piraeus at 7:25 a.m., arriving in Paros at 11:40 a.m, and also at 5:30 p.m., arriving in Paros at 9:45 p.m. Paros Yoga Shalla can arrange for you a transfer to the hotel upon previous request.
If you arrive at noon. there is a bus from the port to the bus terminal in Naousa. From this point, you will be transferred by Paros Yoga Shalla.
