Deepen your yoga practice with Live Yoga in this Yoga Alliance-certified teacher training course in Koh Tao, Thailand. The courses are delivered in a challenging and interesting way that stimulates development whilst embracing the yogic ideals of integration, union, and love. Upon completion of the course, you will be able to teach Hatha yoga, Ashtanga, Vinyasa yoga, Iyengar yoga, and Kundalini yoga to mention a few.

During the program, you will stay in Live Yoga House. All accommodation options are set in beautiful surroundings with either sea views or in a jungle environment. The luxury villas and studios are modern in design and come with fully fitted kitchens. The luxury bungalows are for those wanting a comfortable living environment closer to nature.

There is a choice of having a private room or shared room. Shared rooms will be for two people per bedroom with two separate beds in the same bedroom area. The choice of shared or private room is subject to availability. You will be informed of this upon application.



Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive certificate affiliated with Yoga Alliance. Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a globally recognized credential.


This one month course will provide you with a deep experience into the practices of yoga. At the beginning, you will start with the foundations demonstrating how basic techniques practiced correctly can create an enlightening and blissful experience. Progressions made throughout the course will meet your individual needs to explore deeper with longer practices and meditations and more complex asana and pranayama.


You will start to practice teaching with individual elements progressing into whole classes during the course. You will be taught yoga philosophy that will enable you to understand the journey of your students. Anatomy is an important component of the courses as it will allow you to understand safe and stable physical alignment for yoga poses.

All elements of the yoga teacher training course will have lessons, examples and objectives that connect to the theory aspects delivered. By the end of the course you will be skilled and confident enough to teach your own yoga classes.


Students will need to have had at least three months of regular yoga practice prior to starting the course. You should be fit and healthy with no medical conditions that might prevent you from participating in all elements of the course. You must be open minded to learning and treat all members of staff and fellow students with respect at all times.

  • Yantra and sacred geometry - Draw special patterns creating a grounded consciousness and new ways to conceptualize reality
  • Dream journaling - Dream journaling techniques to monitor your dream world
  • Meditation - Daily meditation develops amazing self-awareness

Luke Sainsbury
Luke introduced yoga into his football training programs and found players got injured less and became better balanced all round athletes. He then moved to Thailand to continue his coaching career working at both Muangthong United and Pattaya United during a four-year stint. During this time, he started practicing yoga, initially for the physical benefits before becoming more interested in the yogic way of life. Luke leads the sport, exercise, and health elements of Live Yoga teacher training courses.
Jen Tubtimon
Yoga Alliance RYT 200 (Rocket Yoga)
Jen attended her first yoga class in 2009 and fell in love with it immediately. She started to practice regularly before deciding she was going to make yoga a big part of her life. By 2013, Jen had completed both her 200-hour teacher training course and 100-hour advanced Rocket yoga training course. She studied under the guidance of gifted teachers from all over the world and has experience in Ashtanga, Anusara, Vinyasa, Hatha, Sivananda, Bikram, Power, and Yin yoga styles. She set up her own yoga company in 2011 teaching yoga in studios, companies, and private one to one classes.
George Anthony
Yoga Elements Studio, Bangkok Yoga Alliance RYT 200 (Vinyasa Yoga)
In 2008, George traveled to Thailand and became certified as a Vinyasa yoga teacher in 2009 at highly acclaimed Yoga Elements Studio, Bangkok. He taught extensively in Y.E.S. and other Bangkok studios and went on to write course materials and assisted in the G-Mind yoga teacher training courses. In 2012, he wrote course material for Vikasa Yoga school and became a resident teacher for Vikasa yoga teacher training courses. George currently delivers workshops and yoga teaching training courses all over the world and is the founder of Sajeeva Yoga.
Bettina Maul
Yoga Alliance RYT 500 (Akhanda Yoga)
Bettina has practiced yoga for over 13 years. She has studied diverse styles in unique settings throughout Asia, Europe, and America. Her certifications include Akhanda yoga 500-hour YTT in Rishikesh, India and Vikasa yoga 200-hour YTT in Koh Samui, Thailand. She is the yoga and meditation teacher at Vikasa Yoga Retreat where she offers Hatha, Akhanda, and classical Kundalini yoga classes, as well as leading personalized anti-stress programs. Bettina has volunteered at several Vipassana silent meditation courses led by S.N. Goenka in Malaysia, Nepal, and Singapore.
Nina Alfers
Nina has a background in martial arts, massage therapy, and yoga. In 2011, Nina did her advanced 100hr Rocket yoga training, which is inspired by Larry Schultz. Nina works out of the Dance of Life Studio in Melbourne where she teaches classes and workshops and provides therapeutic massages. In addition to her work there, Nina travels the world delivering workshops and teacher training courses. She is an experienced yoga teacher trainer having delivered numerous 200 and 300 hour courses. She also delivers yoga anatomy and has worked for a number of yoga organizations as a yoga anatomy teacher.
Ram Vakkalanka
Ram grew up in India, immersed in a yogic way of life, learning Vedic tradition, Sanskrit language, and to play the sitar. Ram specializes in teaching yoga philosophy and is also a meditation instructor, sitar performer, and Kirtan singer. Ram is constantly traveling the world sharing his passion and experience. His work has featured in print, broadcast on radio and television. Ram has appeared at numerous events such as the Toronto Yoga Conference, Montreal Chant Festival, Global Mala Festival and Andanda Festival.
Dr. Thitaree Chaiyasate
Dr. Chaiyasate did her first yoga class in 2008 and was hooked right away. She practiced regularly realizing she needed to make yoga her life. She graduated at Yoga Elements School in Thailand, before continuing her yoga education in Rishikesh under the guidance of Anup Gupta, gaining an in depth understanding of yoga philosophy. Chaiyasate has worked all over Asia teaching yoga, delivering yoga teacher training courses and specializing in yoga philosophy.
Dr. Nuch Areenuch
Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200 (Yoga)
Areenuch is a 200 E-RYT instructor, graduating from the Yoga Elements School. She studied yoga anatomy under Anup Gupta and now specializes in teaching yoga anatomy on teacher training courses. Areenuch teaches detailed anatomic precision allowing for safe yoga practice. Combining her medical background with her yoga studies has led her to become a highly respected yoga anatomy teacher.
Pine Silaard
Pine signed up for a variety of classes in Bangkok practicing a number of different styles. Pine moved to America where she continued her yoga journey studying. She returned to Thailand and studied to become a teacher doing a 200-hour teacher training course. She has since worked for a number of yoga studios and companies in Thailand delivering yoga classes and workshops and assisting with the delivery of yoga teacher training courses. In 2014, Pine made the decision to deepen her yoga by going to Mysuru (Mysore) in India to Sharath Jois at KPJAYI for two months.

Destino del retiro

This program will take place in Koh Tao, one of the most beautiful islands in Thailand, famed for diving and snorkeling. On one side of the island, there are numerous dive centers and resorts and on the other side of the island where the Live Yoga House is situated, it’s tranquil and inspiring. It's close enough if you want to spend the evening in a bar or restaurant but far away enough so you feel like you’re in paradise. It’s the ideal island for activities that embrace the beauty of nature on your days off.

Meal times are an important part of the day. Live Yoga provides everyone with the chance to get to know each other better and share stories and life experiences. They pride themselves on making sure the quality of the food they offer enhances this sharing. They will meet all dietary requirements with healthy, delicious, and enjoyable meals. For this program, there will be two meals per day for 23 nights.

Any activities you would like to do on your days off will be at your expense. If you have an idea of something specific you would like to do, let Live Yoga know and they can help book these for you. Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Koh Samui Airport (USM) or Chumphon Airport (CJM). Transfer from and to this airport is not included in the price, but the organizer provides transfer from the pier to the resort on Koh Tao.
