The yoga retreat will happen in a beautiful newly renovated house with a familiar, cozy atmosphere to feel just at home. The house pays homage to the nomadic surf lifestyle with a gentle nod to Moroccan tradition. The space is spread across a beautiful riad-style building just off the main road of Taghazout, overlooking the ocean and the town.

There are shared dorms with five or six beds, as well as twin and double rooms available. The bathroom is shared. You will eat on the beautiful terrace all together on a big table and do yoga on the beautiful rooftop.

Learn Surf & Yoga Retreat Morocco Program

With this yoga retreat, you have a lot of time on your hands to get things done or recharge your batteries. And if you are stuck, you can always get out into nature, go for a hike or a surf, or a stroll into the old beautiful town. There will be someone who will join you.

During this retreat, you will have two yoga classes every day, Vinyasa in the mornings and Restorative Yin in the evenings. You can also add surf lessons to your retreat. If you do not feel like surfing or want to do everything by yourself, then you can also book without any surf.


Every class starts with a silent group meditation. After that, you will do some asanas to get the muscles warm and smooth. Into the Vinyasa (moving with your breath), you will move through different postures in which you will strengthen your core, balance, or stretch your muscles. At the end of every class, there is a second meditation session. In total, the classes last 60 minutes.

Vinyasa yoga

You will create a flow with your movements and breath. It is physically more demanding and perfect to build up muscle strength and increase your flexibility. Learn Surf & Yoga will show you some more advanced poses too, but as always, everyone only does what feels right to them.

Yin yoga

You will simply do light stretches with your own body weight and hold them for one to two minutes. This is good to learn to let go, get into deep relaxation, restore your muscles, and accept the status of self.

This is Learn Surf & Yoga's idea of a perfect day. Please ask the exact schedule for your dates, as in some weeks not everything is included. There is no yoga class on Tuesday morning.


Lara Schneider
Since 2014, yoga has seized Lara and it does not seem to let her go. The more yoga she does, the more it makes her happy. In May 2015, she started teaching yoga regularly. She is also a medical doctor in Germany. With every yoga session, her head space gets cleaner and her body gets smoother. It is exactly that happiness and freedom that she wants to transport into her class. Since the founding of her company, she continuously works on her project Learn Surf & Yoga and hopes to create a beautiful, sustainable program.

Destino del retiro

This yoga retreat will take place in Taghazout, Morocco. A beautiful surf town with lots of little cafés, shops, and small alleys and steps leading to the city beach. By foot, you can reach four different surf spots and the area offers a variety of easy to advanced surf spots. So you will not only find amazing waves for your level, warm water, and sun all year long but also nice places, friendly people, stunning sunsets, colorful places, tasty food, and an easy-going lifestyle.

During the retreat, you will be served daily breakfast and dinner. The diet will consist of vegetarian meals. Learn Surf & Yoga believes that a balanced, healthy, and tasty diet is a very important factor in living happy, energized, and healthy. Therefore, they try to use fresh, local, and seasonal products with which they create natural self-made meals without any processed foods or additives.

Learn Surf & Yoga likes to call themselves foodies. They create beautiful delicious meals every time and take care to consider extra dietary wishes as well. But check out the food pics and you can see it yourself. Or better yet, come along and experience it yourself. Lunch is only included if you book surf lessons.

Actividades opcionales

During this yoga retreat, you can book surf lessons. You will also be able to surf as much or as little as you wish. If you are a beginner in surfing, you will enjoy group surf lessons five times a week including the materials and a ride to the perfect spot for your level. For intermediate and advanced levels, you can choose between surf guiding or coaching five times a week including board rental. In between classes, you can always check the waves or just get to the beach and enjoy the sun and water.

You can also take a trip to Paradise Valley, a trip to Agadir Souk, or relax with a hammam session.

¿Cómo llegar?

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Agadir–Al Massira Airport (AGA). Taghazout is less than an hour away from Agadir. You can reach Agadir by plane all from many cities in Europe with a lot of cheap airlines like Ryanair, Transavia, etc. From Agadir Airport or bus station, we can pick you up and drop you off at 40 EUR.

If you want to get there by yourself, it is also easy to get the 32 Bus from Agadir to Taghazout and there it's only a 5-minute walk to the house.

You can also fly to Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK) and then take a bus easily to Agadir and then the local Bus 32 to Taghazout. In our experience, the CTM buses have the best quality and are the fastest. Although they might be 2-5 EUR more expensive, it's worth it.
