You will be staying in a private deluxe queen room with ensuite bathroom in a Balinese villa. The villa is situated 100 metres from the beach and the Indian Ocean. This private villa is nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the neighboring every day life.

Decorated in a mix of modern and traditional Balinese style, the villa boasts an open living space, private swimming pool, and lounging area. The spacious dining area has an aesthetic Balinese kitchen which is fully equipped for your convenience.

Certifications

Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive certificate affiliated with Yoga Alliance. Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a globally recognized credential.

Stand up paddling yoga

Stand Up Paddleboard is an excellent stand-alone exercise providing a low impact workout and is very effective for building core strength. It also offers an opportunity to be in the great outdoors, surrounded by water and the elements and all of the positive energy this provides. The benefits of yoga are widely known and when combined with stand up paddle boarding it offers the perfect blend of spirit, body, and nature.

In a SUP yoga class, you will swap your mat for a board and a sweaty studio for glassy seas and a cool ocean breeze. You will perform asanas against a blissful ocean backdrop challenging your core and balance and enhancing your yoga practice ending in Savasana with nothing but the sound of the water lapping against your board to lull you into deep relaxation.

Practical sessions

  • Complete two SUP yoga classes in order to get an experience of such a class through the eyes of a student
  • Each student will get the opportunity to teach a segment of a SUP yoga class to help build their confidence in the ocean setting
  • Learn and practice different meditations and mantras particularly with the ocean setting in mind
  • Learn and practice how to build an effective sequence on the board
  • Learn and practice how to modify certain asanas on the board
  • Learn how to teach your students to stand, balance, and paddle on the boards

    Chantal is a certified Yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance, Group Fitness instructor, ASI Stand Up Paddleboard and Sup yoga teacher and is specialized in teacher trainings.

    Originally from France, Ben established KiteWest in Geraldton, Western Australia, after discovering it was the perfect place to combine his passion for the ocean, the outdoors, and adventure. Ben has worked as a beach inspector and conservation ranger. His awareness of environmental and conservation issues is applied to KiteWest Watersports to ensure all activities do not have an impact on the environment.

This retreat will take place on the beach at Rip Curl School of Surf Sanur Bali, east coast of Bali. Sanur is a coastal town located on the east coast of Bali which boasts a beautiful calm lagoon that is perfect for SUP yoga and Stand Up Paddleboarding. Sanur is renowned for its white sandy beaches and quieter pace of life. The heart of Sanur offers an array of shops, restaurants, banks, fashion boutiques, and everything else you would expect from a vibrant coast town.

A seven-kilometer cycle path follows the coast which you may want to explore on one of the villa’s bicycles during your time off. Along this strip of beach you will find Rip Curl School of Surf which offers a huge range of water sports such as kiteboarding, surfing, wakeboarding, free diving, diving, etc.
