You will be accommodated in a family house in a quiet part of Hvar town, close to the sea with a beautiful view of the harbor and major town sights. The house is surrounded by a garden where you are welcome to pick fruit or herbs. It is situated close to the sea so as you go down the stairs, you are already in the crystal clear Adriatic waters for a swim or sunbathing. Most of the activities will be held on the terraces (covered and not covered), but sometimes you will go down to the nearby secluded piers by the sea and enjoy yoga with the music coming from the waves.
The venue is your home. This homely idea will be the basis for your accommodation, meaning you are most welcome to move around the house, kitchen, and garden and feel free to use any space you find attractive. The family will be there to assist you with all the information you may need while staying at the house in Hvar.
You will be situated in single or double occupancy with private or shared bathroom. All the bedrooms are air-conditioned and decorated with attractive details to make you feel as if at home. The bedrooms are situated in separated apartments so each apartment has its own kitchen where you can prepare your own meals and drinks (the ones which are not included in the retreat).
This retreat program is designed to suit individual needs. Therefore, the dates are open for you to choose the ones that suit you the most. As a result, it could happen that you might be the only participant on some days of your retreat, it all depends on other ladies' choices. However, some group activities like morning yoga and evening meditation will also be attended by the ladies living in the area so you will not always be on your own.
Other activities include nature walk, Ayurvedic massage, art session, and daily meals. These activities are individual and therefore adjusted to suit your needs and preferences.
The advantage of this individual retreat program is that the level of yoga exercises will be adjusted to suit your needs. If you are a beginner in yoga, Island Fusion will prepare the program in a way to gently guide you into the basic asanas, breathing techniques, and relaxation exercises.
If you are not that much into yoga but would like to engage in some kind of bodywork, the program will be designed to offer a combination of yoga and other bodywork systems such as body-centered therapy by Alexander Lowen, antistress exercises, chakra balancing exercises, and Tai Chi. In that way, you will get insight into different bodywork programs and decide which works best for you.
The yoga style practised at the retreat is a combination of Ashtanga yoga, Vinyasa and Pranayama

You will have a nature walk excursion which includes a Mediterranean healing plants tour and a visit to the eco-ethno Dalmatian stone village. There will be landart activities along the way and the trekking is light and enjoyable.
Paula is a body-centered therapist, artist, art therapist and healer. Her mission is to help people open up for creative processes within and let the creative impulses guide them in their lives. Her main motto is: Visualize and paint the world you would like to live in and then go live in it.
Iva is a yoga teacher, artist, masseuse and healer. She teaches yoga in Hvar and other Croatian cities. She has graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and continues to paint actively her abstract world. She enjoys reading, studying the esoteric, astronomy and sound therapy. Her main motto is: Expression through creativity provides endless possibilities.
This retreat will take place in Hvar in Croatia, one of the ten most beautiful islands in the world according to Traveler Magazine. Hvar is one of the most popular European destinations where many travelers come to enjoy the Mediterranean landscapes, rich culture, Greek and Venetian heritage, secluded bays of Pakleni islands, UNESCO protected ruins, and the rural beauty of lavender fields, vineyards, and olive groves. Hvar is the sunniest island in Croatia; it has plenty to offer as a perfect retreat location for the body and soul.
During this retreat, you will be served with breakfasts and dinner. Lunch time hours will be spent on the beach or doing the nature walk so take-away meals such as sandwiches, salads and similar will be provided for that purpose. The food is Semi-vegetarian, influenced by traditional Mediterranean ingredients, macrobiotics principles and Ayurveda. The Food can include local sea fish if clients would be interested in trying it. Hvar town has a rich cultural heritage, so you may wish to explore its fortresses, churches, museums, and one of the oldest public theatres in Europe. There is a university observatory above the town so it is possible to arrange the tour if you are interested in lectures on the solar system. You can also get on a bus or rent a car, scooter, or a bike and explore the hidden island gems on your own, such as beautiful bays, lavender fields, fascinating views at the sea, and other islands.
There are travel agencies offering a bit of adventurous tours around the island, so you can try sea kayaking, rock climbing, or island safari tour. Hvar is a very popular destination for yacht lovers where you can stroll around the harbor in the evening and enjoy the view or find a quieter cafe or wine bar in those cobbled streets and relax over a glass of good local wine. In addition, apart from the scheduled group activities and the other activities that you can do on your own, you may also take part in the following activities and treatments from the holistic approach program:
The nearest airport from the retreat venue is Split International Airport (SPU). Many flights from central, western, and eastern Europe arrive at this airport. You can take a shuttle bus or a taxi to get to Split harbor. It is possible to fly to Zadar International Airport (ZAD) and take a bus to Split. You might want to take the daily bus along the motorway because it saves time.
You can also fly to Dubrovnik International Airport (DBV) and take a fast boat to Hvar. The boat transfer usually departs in the afternoon. It is also possible to fly to Zagreb International Airport (ZAG) and take one of the buses or trains to Split. Please avoid Pula International Airport (PUY) and Rijeka International Airport (RJK) if possible as it can take much longer to arrive in Split by bus.
There are fast boats directly to Hvar harbor from Split. It takes one hour sail to arrive in Hvar town.
