Farmhouse Bellaria was created through the will of getting together, sharing a lifestyle aligned to the rhythms of nature and to the yoga and Ayurveda philosophy. Students who have obtained their 200H YTT diploma elsewhere from Hari-Om schools, are required to attend some classes of the 200h YTT (usually held at the same time as 300h).
The subjects of the course vary from the physical (asana, pranayama, anatomy and alignments) to the more spiritual, subtle and philosophical aspects (meditation, history, philosophy, chakras, and tantra). There are two practices a day of two hours each and five hours of lecture between morning and afternoon.
The following aspects will be analyzed in relation to every asana:
During the three-hour practice sessions that precede the theoretical portion of the course, the students will be asked also to perform asanas that are not mentioned in the course program and will be encouraged and assisted in researching their alignment points so as to be able to independently practice the asanas as desired in the correct manner. Various asana sequences, involving specific parts of the body, that address different psychological and physical aspects of the individual will be taught with the intention of re-balancing their chakras and doshas.
The teaching method during the 300-hour teacher training will be mainly aimed at assisting the students in empowering the students to create their own lesson plans. The students will be encouraged to prepare their own individual yoga lesson plan related to a specific subject, to develop the theme throughout the lesson by providing theoretical information before, during and after the execution of the asanas and to conclude with pranayama and dharana techniques that harmoniously accompany the rest of the lesson.
The logic behind decisions to link certain asanas will be explained so as to enable the students to create asana sequences in autonomy. Possible themes include charkas, a certain feeling, a particular element, a phrase.
Techniques: Bhramari Pranayama, Bastrika and others. Breath timing techniques will be introduced in which one mentally counts to establish a particular duration of inspiration, exhalation and breath retention, both will full and empty lungs; this technique will be applied to the various pranayama techniques previously learned.
Students will also be taught how to combine the various pranayama techniques with certain mudras and bandhas. They will be encouraged to utilize pranayama during the execution of certain asanas so that every movement begins and ends in relation to the breath cycle, simultaneously visualizing the movement of the pranic energy in the nadi. Dharana techniques will be explored through a particular attention given to the use of mantras and yantras.
Following techniques will be explored on a deeper level, introducing advanced variations, among which the combined use of mudras and mantras during the single techniques: Nadi Shodana, Shitali, Sitkari, Kapalabhati, Bhastrika, Viloma, Anuloma, Agni Sari, Visamavritti and Asamavritti Praayama.
Vastu is the science of building or architecture. The traditional system of architecture that was developed in the Hindus culture to build temples. Vastu is based on the combinations of the five elements and tries balancing them, not only in their internal relations but letting them establishing a contact with the human being. Vastu creates building in harmony with the cosmic laws that give joy and peace to mankind.
In the course of the five weeks of the teacher training offered by the yoga school, the anatomical studies are more focalized and connected to the new techniques and Asanas that have been taught. A number of sessions will be dedicated to the concepts of tension, compression, stretching, elongation, flexibility and to all the possible variables necessary for an approach of profound respect to the human body.
Other classes will be dedicated to the spine as the primary supportive structure of the body which is undergoing daily stressful functions that can be deeply balanced through cognizance and practice. Marco is the founder and director of Hari-Om Yoga School. Marco is an enthusiastic practitioner of Muay Thai and combat sports in general. He has been teaching yoga for around twenty years, dealing almost exclusively with teacher training and retreats. Marco's idea, which the school reflects, is to integrate diverse techniques from various disciplines and arts in order to live simply, in harmony with the present moment and to the best of one’s potential.
Since an early age, Massimo felt attracted and influenced by the vision and teaching of mystics, masters, and yogis like Rumi, J.Krishnamurti, G.I. Gurdjieff, R. Tagore, and P. Yogananda, among others, which shaped the spiritual path to follow. Extensive travels throughout India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Middle East, North Africa as well as the Americas, Australia, and Europe brought him in contact with different spiritual paths widening the spectrum of ways in the quest of human consciousness growth.
Melissa started practicing Yoga while living in Istanbul, Turkey. The practice of asana was a gateway to the deeper levels that Yoga penetrates and thus opened Melissa’s curiosity into meditation, pranayama, mind-body connection, and so much more. Melissa is a dedicated student of meditation, pranayama, and alignment-based Hatha Yoga. Her classes reflect this as she aims to lead you through a dynamic and challenging sequence, focusing on alignment to reveal inner strength and energy, and cultivating awareness and control of the breath to keep you clear, present, and focused.
This yoga teacher training program takes place in Italy. The Farmhouse Bellaria is a classical farmhouse in Piemont style, part of it to be drawn back to the half of the nineteenth century. It is located in a quite hilly area of the countryside between Alessandria and Acqui Terme.
Far from the inhabitant center and from the main roads, it is surrounded by a quiet and relaxed atmosphere that follows the rhythm of nature. Foxes, deer, squirrels, wild boars, and many kinds of birds live in that countryside and very often they get close to the houses and to the small lake, which is located inside the property of the farmhouse.

Delicious vegetarian and organic daily meals will be provided throughout the training. Breakfast consists of a buffet, vegetarian, rich of fresh and homemade food. The oldest side of the farmhouse has become a dining room, characterized by the barrel vaults with bricks, with a suggestive fireplace that warms the whole setting during winter months and particular oriental furniture.

It is the typical Ayurveda massage. It is done by massaging the body with lukewarm medical oil or a mixture of essential oils in vegetable oil, different according to the person and the parts of the body. Besides being relaxing and acting against stress, it has as main aim the psycho-physical reactivation; from a physical point of view it cleans and makes the skin softer, reactivates and melts the muscles, and helps to improve the lymphatic and blood circulation.
It is excellent for people with a Vata Dosha constitution and for all troubles due to an imbalance (insomnia, depression, dryness. From a deeper point of view, it helps to discover and to remove fears and anxieties, and to gain a better ability to live and profit from the present, and increase self-consciousness. It can be done for therapeutic purposes and specific troubles.
It is the classical massage of the Indian tradition, an energetic massage with two therapists that move synchronously.
It is done with cotton sacks filled with a warm mix of dusts, spices, and legumes, and used to tap or scratch the body, more or less energetically according to the constitution. First of all, the body is covered with sesame oil and essential oils, and then the body is tapped with Kizhi. This allows the oil to penetrate more deeply. This kind of massage improves the lymphatic and blood circulation. It is useful against backache, cervical pains, and sciatica.
