Alojamiento

The accommodations are based on single or double room occupancy at the Guru Yog Peeth's guest house near Lakshman Jhula. Each room is attached with Western toilets and a bathroom provided with hot and cold water. Each room is also Wi-Fi enabled. The rooms are equipped with a king or twin bed, tables with comfortable chairs, air conditioning, flat screen television with satellite channels, tea and coffee making facilities, and a laundry bag.

Guru Yog Peeth yoga retreats not only offer relaxation, sound, or chakra healing, but also equip you with yoga and meditation skills so you can cope better with life. Whether you want to beat fatigue, reduce stress, or lose some weight a yoga retreat will provide the right package. Even a week long yoga retreat helps you regain energy and feel less burdened and anxious. Yoga retreats can help you power up so you are better able to deal with life.

Retreat curriculum:

  • Hatha yoga program: includes elements of traditional Hatha yoga, Iyengar’s precise posturing (pre-props), and Vinyasa flowing sequences. The asanas in this system develop core strength, focus, centering and personal empowerment.
  • Therapy series: with gentle therapeutic movements this series is ideal for the elderly, improving health, and overcoming injuries.
  • Kaula yoga program: the asana sequence in this system is meditative, relaxing and profound, gentle yet firm. It works deeply on the pranic system (not only the physical body), guiding students to let go of physical, mental and pranic inflexibility to encounter a deep loving and respectful relationship with themselves.
  • Chakras sadhana: in this practice, you consciously connect with your Chakras through mudras and mantras, acknowledging ourselves as a vehicle for the Kundalini energy. This sadhana is a way to Samadhi (the experience of unity with the Divine).
  • Active meditations: using the body to connect with and to awaken the inner vital energy through conscious movement, ecstatic dance and free expression. Cultivating self-awareness, self-empowerment and self-liberation.
  • Kundalini meditation: an energizing meditation with shaking the body, dancing and silent meditation.
  • Dynamic meditation: a transformative active meditation comprising of intense pranayama, catharsis, jumping and dancing
  • Nadabrahma meditation: Tibetan humming meditation for clarity and centering.
  • Gurushankar meditation: includes gentle movements and candle gazing
  • Bhakti yoga: the yoga of devotion, as we sing, pray and chant together, with our hearts filled with gratitude to the divine in overflowing joy.
  • Pranayama classes: various breathing techniques will be used, in order to cultivate harmony and optimize the energetic functioning of the body system.

Acharya Tuna Khatua
Tuna Khatua, is one of the renowned yogis in Maayaa, who has spent his life in this field. A strong believer of Ayurveda and its form, he has been preaching and practicing the same ever since he entered this field. He also preaches Sivananda yoga, Himalaya yoga, six systems of yoga philosophy, and yoga anatomy at the ashram. Applying a well qualified approach with a master degree in yogic sciences, Acharya ji emphasises on simple living and high thinking.

Guru Yog Peeth's trusted team of Ayurvedic doctors, Vaidyas, will do a weekly health check of all the students, so that changes can be made in the personal diets to correct any health aberration or anomaly.

The ashram is located just steps away from the Laxman Jhula and the Holy Ganges. Undertaking a yoga retreat in Rishikesh is like partaking a profound spiritual experience. The mystical vibrations reverberate everywhere and you cannot go away from Rishikesh without being affected positively.

You will be able to enjoy a one-day tour to Ganga Aarti, visit Ram jhula and Laxman jhula and have delicious dinner with Indian Classical Music
