Shanti Niketan Yoga and Wellness Retreat is located on the eastern side of Mallorca Island, which is ideal for yoga practice. The word Shanti Niketan mean the house of peace. The retreat set up is in a peaceful atmosphere in the nest of a natural typical Mallorcan village, away from distractions and pollution, and away enough from beach and crowd. It is seven minutes by car from Cala Millor and Porto Cristo with it's "Coves del Drag".

The entire retreat is equipped with stone buildings, enough place to chill out, to meditate or to be on your own when you required. The retreat area is made on about 20,000 square meters of land with a beautiful landscape full of pine, olive, lemon, and many other trees which nestles various colorful birds, butterflies, owls, and much more. The retreat is also a house for several small cute tortoise and rabbits who are naturally living there which are considered as auspicious symbols as per many oriental philosophies.

The retreat center is not a luxurious place to sit back and relax, but it is a place of peace, harmony, joy, and happiness in the lap of mother nature. Keeping in mind the best quality of teaching and service, Green Yoga India has a capacity to accommodate 20 to 25 students. Students have two accommodation options which are stone rooms and Mongolian yurt or glamping tent.

The rooms are comfortable, cozy and will be decorated in a yogic way. The yurts are eco-friendly, with natural eco toilet, and showers. The retreat facilities include salt water swimming pool, juice bar, yoga shala, laundry service, outdoor kitchen and dining, reception, meditation place, temple, spa, and Ayurveda massage facilities.


The 300 hours Yoga Teacher Training Course offered by Green Yoga India is registered with Yoga Alliance USA. The course provides an in-depth knowledge of yogic philosophy, advance asana, pranayama, anatomy, teaching techniques, Practicum and special modules in aerial yoga and yin yoga. This course is suitable for everyone even someone who wants to become a yoga teacher and start teaching right after the course. These 300 hour course is unique in nature which means more of living yoga than learning.

Once you complete the 300 hours of Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Course by Green Yoga India in combination with your earlier 200 hours Teacher Training Course, you will be certify as 500 hours Yoga Teacher. You can register your certificate with Yoga Alliance USA and become 500 hr RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher).

Ashtanga yoga and Rocket series

  • Practice the primary series of Ashtanga Vinyasa (K. Pattabhi Jois)

  • Creating and leading a Vinyasa flow led class of 90 minutes

  • Assisting lead trainers, observing, and receiving feedback accordingly
  • Students will be required to engage in self-study and submit daily and weekly assignments on the day’s lectures and discussions
  • There will be a practical and a theory exam at the end of the course to assess the students on their learning, practice, and teaching during the program

Because of the crystal clear waters, it’s a perfect destination to practice scuba diving, snorkeling and any kind of water sports.

A great deal of care has to be taken when it comes to preparing food. At Green Yoga India, the foods are chosen as per the requirements of the yoga practitioners. Keeping in mind the nutritional values and following the guidelines of Ayurvedic science, they have prepared a wide array of sattvic food which satisfies not only the taste of tongue but also the soul and mind.
