Técnicas de enseñanza de yoga

Las técnicas de enseñanza del yoga es una de las partes más importantes y esenciales del curso. Esta parte de la enseñanza incluye formación, práctica y enseñanza de técnicas de las prácticas del yoga tradicional como:

Recordatorios del retiro

Este programa de un mes es una oportunidad para mirar profundamente dentro de ti mismo entrenando tu cuerpo y mente y mirando hacia el alma siguiendo ciertos yamas y niyamas (que sí y que no hacer) como se describe a continuación:

Durante el entrenamiento están prohibidos el consumo de drogas, cigarros y bebidas. Recuerda que este entrenamiento es el principio de tu nueva vida.

Por favor informa a Green Yoga India si has tenido cirugías o lesiones recientes. También si tienes cualquier enfermedad o alergias a alimentos.

Aunque en el retiro el ambiente es alentador, sin dejar de preocuparse por la salud y la seguridad de los estudiantes, estos tienen plena responsabilidad sobre su seguridad, si hubiera alguna lesión durante el curso o la práctica, ni la escuela ni los profesores afiliados son responsables.

A pesar de que el lugar del retiro es muy seguro, se les aconseja a los estudiantes cuidar de sus objetos de valor.

Los estudiantes deben estar a tiempo para todas las clases y requieren de al menos el 90% de asistencia para obtener el certificado. Si faltas a alguna hora de clase (excepto en caso de emergencia), deberás completar las clases perdidas por un costo extra y de acuerdo a la disponibilidad de profesores.

También se te pide mantener tu alojamiento y los espacios comunes del retiro limpios así como un alto grado de higiene personal. Green Yoga India mantiene altos estándares de limpieza.

Bienvenido a la tierra de arenas blancas, sol brillante, aguas cristalinas y palmeras danzantes. El estado más hermoso de la India ofrece un ambiente perfecto para los practicantes de yoga. El clima tropical y su atmósfera multicultural han atraído al turismo de todo el mundo a esta perla bordeada por el mar árabe en el oeste de la India. Goa fue una colonia de Portugal hasta 1961 y todavía es palpable la herencia arquitectónica portuguesa y la influencia de este país en la gastronomía.

Imagínate practicando yoga mientras ves el océano, imagina que tu respiración se une al sonido de las olas cuando estás meditando, imagínate recostado sobre la blanca arena, convirtiéndote en uno con la naturaleza. Siente los cinco elementos de la naturaleza uniéndose en tu cuerpo y mente. El clima de Goa es siempre agradable, con temperaturas que van de 24 a 29 grados. Es el único estado de la India que ofrece caminos suaves y de un verde exuberante, lejos de la contaminación y el caos. El lugar del retiro se ubica en un espacio de 7000 metros cuadrados en la carretera de Palolem. El espacio es perfecto para la práctica del yoga: pacífico, lleno de palmeras, árboles frutales y flores. Construido enteramente con bambú y ubicado muy cerca de la playa de Palolem.

Los alimentos deben ser preparados con mucho cuidado. En Green Yoga India los alimentos son elegidos según las necesidades de los practicantes.     pleasant, fun and qualified experience.

    CONS No me gustó: The food was very delicious, healthy and tasty - however it was very much the same, so after 2-3 weeks you do get a little bored with the same stuff.

    PROS Me gustó: I liked the venue and the teachers. Green Yoga India has managed to vary their teachers so well that we got a little bit of everything, very well coordinated.

    "Did my TTC (200h) in December 2016 here, had a beautiful experience. I guess no matter where you'll do this kind of an intensive course, it will be challenging both physically and mentally, at the end it's up to you what kind of experience you'll live.     "Currently, I am attending the 200 hours yoga teacher course in Green Yoga. Albeit I do train a lot back home, I am a yoga beginner - lacking the flexibility and the general knowledge and vocabulary. The course is structured in a thought through way. It provides a good overview of all yoga arts, history but also philosophical and physical (anatomy, digestion, etc) aspects of it. 360 degrees of yoga - this was the key to go for it. Yoga teachers: Alan, Ria, Anu, Fabian are absolutely amazing and competent. The team on the ground, in charge for the administrative and organizational (Prateek and Manish) issues are very competent, nice and friendly. They organized a pick-up service from the airport and friendly welcomed me in Goa. The food provided (breakfast, lunch, dinner) is very delicious, healthy and vegetarian and it varies every day. The location is distanced from Palolem - which is good as this helps your concentration. There are enough bikes we can use to reach the beach during our time off (10-minute ride or 20 minutes walking distance). The group of students is truly international. Within a group of 34 students, we are 21 nationalities from all over the world - very healthy, inspiring and happy."

    "All of the lies the staff told us would've been irrelevant if we weren't subjected to 'the speaker' a man who (genuinely couldn't make this dude up) refers to himself in the third person, claims to be of a higher state of realization, but spends his time bullying his students and talking about how great he is."

    "In the nightly reviews they insist we write to them on occasion people would say how upset they were by his behavior or even a criticism of how he did something. He would deal with polite criticism, in a very yogic manner, by calling them into his office and screaming at them. Literally screaming at them. He made at least five people cry and spend the rest of the training very upset during the remainder of the teacher training."

    "The man is literally on the verge of a mental breakdown and taking his wife with him - do not be at the receiving end. This is not a yoga experience it's a madhouse full of money-hungry egos. The amount they were charging for everything was simply obnoxious. Some of the little money tricks they pulled: €10 for the exact same mat that costs 250 rupees in town and 200 rupees per tiny wash you do yourself to cover 'maintenance costs', when once again you'd get triple the amount wash dried and folded by someone, for the same price, in Palolem. Just so many little things they wanted to overcharge for. They even had the cheek to try charging 4% on card payments but were sussed out and we demanded a refund."

    "I was so excited after all the fabulous reviews I'd read online, but the moment you go to Green Yoga it's clear there's been a lot of online manipulation. All the reviews are from when they had 10 people on the beach but they've since gotten obnoxious and greedy and the course is now 50 and in a horrible location. If you're wondering why there's only positive reviews."

    "They'll tell you it's close to the beach- it's a 40 minute walk and the bikes are broken but you can wobble down in maybe 20 minutes. Such a shame that they absolutely ruined so many people's experience by lying about this then having the audacity to imply that wanting the beach is bad and we should just want yoga."

    "The facilities are new, but there's no hot water (even though we paid 1500 euro) and speaker will tell you where the mop is if you request to have your room cleaned despite you having specifically paid for two room cleans a week. At least my group didn't have bedbugs like the last one though!"

    "Of course there were positives (had some other fabulous teachers: Ria, Favian and Anu, but the staff changes all the time and I assume these amazing folks will run from the crazy), but the positives are just that of going to a yoga school. You can have any of the positives experienced in green yoga without anything negative. Other schools have the good points and not the bad. Except for the nice teachers and their classes, the whole experience was tainted with a police state air and pure disappointment all while we had to walk around the crazy and very very volatile eggshell that is speaker."

    "-Variety of classes. I'm not much of a yogi/have little yoga experience so I liked that we got a taster of lots of different types. For the more serious instructor, they would probably prefer to focus on one discipline for the 200 hours, but I was satisfied with our course contents"

    "Not-so-great things:"

    "-Location. I booked a course on a beach, instead I got a course 15 minutes cycle from the beach (on some pretty rickety bikes that were in short supply). I did get an email 20 days before the course started, stating I could get a refund because of change of location, which I thought was a bit of a farce as they had known all along about the venue change and it was obviously too late for me to cancel flights/holiday leave etc. I didn't let it bother me too much but it sort of left a dishonest taste about the whole business."

    "-Food. I initially thought it was great but that soon flicked out after the first week as I got quite sick, and the variety was poor-not as healthy as you'd expect from a yoga course. But I honestly was happy in the first week, and I was expecting it to be a LOT worse so perhaps I'm just being a bit fussy now, as I was sick, or just fed up of cornflakes for breakfast and white rice twice a day!!"

    "-Atmosphere. What started as really great vibes around the group changed drastically in the last week and I feel a lot of it was down to the people running the course. Some open hostility to feedback, uncomfortable remarks and shouting matches with students resulted in a lot of dissatisfaction around the camp, and I felt really uncomfortable leaving on my last night as the girl in my room was sobbing at the treatment she received from the organizer. I was also told I would receive feedback on my coursework etc., via email, but unsurprisingly I have heard nothing back, and felt a little like I was just another addition to a growing bank balance, rather than a student they sincerely wanted to help grow and develop. It was also quite convenient that our "voluntary karma yoga" was actually mandatory upkeep and renovation of the property!! I quite like being outdoors and doing manual work, but wonder if there are maybe more worthwhile projects in the area like collecting rubbish/assisting with community groups/building for more needy people that we could have helped with, as we probably ended up taking away jobs that would have employed local people who are struggling with the current economic issues."

    "All in all, Goa is a beautiful setting to experience a yoga course and this course had a lot of good things (as outlined above) but I feel it's really a place that's in a bit of a transition and the organizers are stressed/haven't quite caught up on the large numbers of students they are hosting, and wouldn't be a course I would return to in the future."

The kitchen staff is kind, welcoming, and incredibly talented at preparing healthy and delicious meals. The instruction is clear, thorough, engaging, enlightening, and fun. The course covers a multitude of styles as well as the broad spectrum of all that is yoga. You will leave here practically equipped to lead a class with a broad foundation for helping students with diverse needs and backgrounds. One of the marks of quality instruction is that the student leaves wanting to know more. Atmarekha and Veronica and their staff have given us all the resources to take what we’ve learned here and delve deeper into further study, sustained personal practice, and a desire to do both. Their love of yoga, and more importantly, their love and concern for each and every student they come in contact with is evident. Beyond instruction and the necessary details of life, they are insightful and available to help work through any problem you may encounter – physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. Their compassion, knowledge, experience, and beyond-theiryears wisdom cannot be spoken of highly enough.     "My experience at Green Yoga was phenomenal. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, warm, motivating, encouraging, and compassionate. I wish they offered more teacher training courses (300 hour, prenatal, children's, or CEUs) because I'd love to go back and I know there's so much more that I could learn from them. The accommodations were comfortable and the food was amazing. I highly recommend this YTTC."

    "There's so much to say about "Green Yoga" and it's all positive. The first days it was hard for me to settle, but the staff, teachers and students were all so nice and sweet... it felt like one big family! The beaches are close, only a 10-minute ride with the bike to Palolem or Patnem. So you always have time to escape and chill out for a bit. The teachers know what they are talking about and the staff is always ready to receive questions or whatever comes to mind, and they will be more than happy to help you out. I have learned a lot about yoga and myself. I am really going to miss this place and everyone in it. Thank you guys! Namaste!"

    "I absolutely recommend doing a Yoga Teacher Training Course at Green Yoga India. I completed my 200 hrs in November 2015 and have enjoyed each step along the way. I completed a multi-style Yoga Teacher Training which allowed me to explore different styles like Ashtanga, Hatha, Vinyasa and Iyengar. We worked both on the physical aspect of asanas, teaching methodology, but also the philosophy and history behind it for the different yoga styles. Next to that we had different kind of workshops like acro yoga and ayurvedic medicine. Atmarekha and Veronica are a very good team. Atmarekha has a lot of in-depth knowledge about yoga, indian tradition and culture which is fascinating to listen too and Veronica brings the western touch."

    "I went to Green Yoga India, Goa not quite knowing what to expect. I had already completed a 200hr YTTC in the UK, so I already had a basic understanding of yoga philosophy, asanas and anatomy. My reason for doing a second YTTC in India was to deepen my knowledge on all levels, especially in the areas of pranayama, meditation and some of the spiritual aspects of yoga. Green Yoga India did not disappoint! I learnt so much during the course. Not only did my personal practice improve dramatically during the course, but my understanding of what yoga is, in all its manifestations, how it can benefit different individuals, where it came from and how it became so popular in the West. Atmarekha and Veronika are both excellent teachers who are really passionate about their subject. I left the course with a really good understanding of yoga philosophy, thanks to Atmarekha's very comprehensive way of teaching. I now feel confident to pass on my knowledge to my own students."

We saw dolphins swimming during the morning Hatha class on several occasions. I come out of this course confident to teach and richer in experience and knowledge."

    "I participated in the one-month TTC program and the 200-hour YTTC course was more useful for acquiring new teacher skills and expertise. Besides the intensive practice of asanas, kriyas and pranayama, I really liked the theoretical and philosophical understanding of the ancient yoga science that the course provides. The meditation practices were also extremely helpful in expanding and raising the consciousness.
