The log cabins provided for this yoga retreat accommodation are simply, but romantically, furnished and have en suite washing and toilet facilities and all have their own balconies with views overlooking the sea and surrounding mountains. The cabins are set on terraces surrounded by the organic gardens which are planted with lemon, olive, apricot, pomegranate and peach trees.
Roses and geraniums, jasmine and lavender give out their wonderful scents on balmy evenings and the grapevine and morning glory covered terraces provide relaxing shady spaces to enjoy drinks or dinner. Many vegetables such as aubergines, tomatoes, pumpkins and green peppers are grown by the owners family in their nearby farm in the valley providing fresh seasonal produce for the kitchen.
The spacious yoga platform with views overlooking the cove below and dramatic coastline is built from cedar and local pine and has light canvas drapes to provide plenty of shade to keep students cool and comfortable while they practice. The breath-taking views play an integral part of reinforcing our connection to nature and the beauty both in the world and to be discovered within ourselves.
Yoga will take place in the morning and afternoon with 14 yoga sessions of varying lengths and content. Attending the yoga sessions is completely optional. There is never any pressure for guests to take part in every yoga session and non-participating partners are most welcome on the holiday. The instructor does not belong to any particular school of yoga and teaches in a spontaneous, non-dogmatic way.
Students will work at their own pace with a strong emphasis on taking what they need that day from the practice and leaving out what they do not. In general, the morning yoga sessions, in Turkey, will comprise more dynamic and energetic flow yoga with modifications offered to suit the individual levels of students and pranayama (breathing techniques).
The late afternoon or early evening yoga classes will include slower asana practice, with some poses held longer for deepening, Yin yoga, gentle and restorative sessions, pranayama, guided relaxations, yoga Nidra and meditations.
Elisa has over 25 years of yoga experience. Since 2004, she has been teaching many weekly open yoga classes, yoga workshops and private yoga students in a variety of West London locations. Elisa also runs overseas yoga holidays and yoga retreats, which are a fantastic, extended opportunity to explore yoga with others - both on and off the mat.
The venue is situated in an elevated position overlooking the stunning cove at Kabak. It is about 30 minutes drive from the beach resort of Olu Deniz, (but could be a lifetime away) and is a 45 minute drive from the bustling historic market port of Fethiye. Its location high above the Turquoise Coast gives us a truly idyllic retreat feel to our yoga holiday in Turkey, and as guests here we can make our time here as active or as restful as we choose.
The restaurant here is acclaimed in an area already known for its excellent, freshly-sourced Mediterranean cuisine. Lunchtimes are very popular with locals and visitors alike. Our breakfast and evening meals are served under the shade of grape vines, jasmine and morning glory or the stars!
The restaurant is a great source of personal pride to the owner who is an accomplished, if modest, professional chef himself. Fresh bread is baked daily in front of our eyes in the log burning oven and much of the food served has been locally grown and is organic. Honey is from the owners family's hives and their surprisingly palatable wine is made from their mountain vineyard.

Haydar Tok will be the resident masseuse during the week of your stay. Trained in Australia, England, Thailand and Turkey, Haydar's massage treatments are always in demand with the groups - many of whom felt his were the best treatments they'd ever experienced! His techniques include Shiatsu, Aromatherapy, Thai massage, Dorn-Breuss, Sports massage and Indian head massage. Treatments can be booked with Haydar at the welcome meeting after yoga and breakfast on Tuesday morning.

The nearest airport is Dalaman, which is about a 90 minute drive away, while Antalya is about 4 hours drive, and there is an intercity bus terminal in Fethiye. There are chartered and scheduled flights to Dalaman airport including: Thomas Cook, Easy Jet, Thompson, Monarch and Pegasus.
