The beautiful and comfortable village holds space for up to 38 guests, an onsite kitchen where all the meals are lovingly prepared, two yoga shalas, two healing and rejuvenation spaces, a small library and a chill-out area. The jungle beach huts available at the village are beautifully inspired by Rajasthani designs and some come with an open-air bathroom (separate toilet/shower block for the female dorm). Bed linen, pillows, towels (not to be taken outside the village), mosquito nets and blankets (if you need them) are provided.

An indulgent, varied, and holistic experience of yoga and wellness awaits you at the village while you are also free to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the peaceful Palolem Beach. This program is designed to help you reconnect with yourself while giving you enough time to schedule your day the way you want it. Come whenever and stay as long as you like.

During your stay, you will take part in daily classes, which are suitable for all levels, and learn fluid sequencing of postures, linked with the breath to revitalize and rejuvenate the body, mind, and spirit. Each morning flow will leave you energized for the day, while the afternoon classes are more gentle, allowing you to wind down. Both sessions are designed to help you develop your own personal practice so you can continue on your yoga journey after the retreat. During the retreat, you will also learn powerful and safe pranayama and meditation techniques. These promote a calm state of mind and vitality. Incorporating pranayama and meditation into your daily routine is truly transformative and this retreat will put you in the right mindset to continue on this journey.

The yoga classes are held in a beautiful yoga shala or if you feel like it, on the beach. Who doesn't like a light breeze of fresh ocean air on their skin, unwinding in the unhurried atmosphere of Palolem Beach and watching the sunset while balancing in your grounding tree pose? The yoga retreats are perfect for any level of practitioner as there is a yogi in everyone. The program is a balancing mix of body, mind, and soul transformation that helps you gain knowledge and experience. It's designed to help each student evolve on their own personal level, nurture your soul, take time out, and reconnect with your strength and wisdom.

The experienced teachers also offer modifications and more advanced postures. You are always welcome to take a break, rest, and just breath. During the course of this program, you will have the opportunity to be engaged in a wide range of activities. However, you can do exactly what you want and only what you want. You are of course free to do as little or as much as you feel like.

Active participation is encouraged as the program is designed to help you relax, reconnect, and be in a blissful state of joy. The schedule below is your overview of what a day will look like and you will have a full day to yourself, where you can choose to partake in any of the classes, workshops, or evening activities, or just be, explore, and breathe.

At any time, you are also welcome to take advantage of the many therapies to rejuvenate or detox. During the "living the life you love and loving the life you live" session, you and others will gather to open your heart and mind with a focus on living the life you love and loving the life you live through various spiritual activities such as lectures, interactive discussions, different types of meditation, and question-and-answer session.

  • On your day of arrival, please feel free to check-in anytime from 2 p.m.

Instructores

Anand Garg
Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India (Vipassana Yoga)
Anand is an ex-banker who said goodbye to his office job in 2012 to start his journey back to his inner self through yoga, meditation, and other spiritual practices. Anand trained and graduated from Sivananda Ashram in Kerala in 2012 and finished his master of yoga in 2016. He lives by the motto love the life you live and live the life you love.
Kathrin
Kathrin grew up in the beautiful Austrian countryside, which laid the foundation for her strong connection to mother nature. Having experimented with different nutritional systems for more than 10 years, she came in touch with Ayurveda during her first trip to India in 2007. This very individualized approach of Ayurveda deeply resonated with Kathrin and she decided to return to India to study the art of Ayurveda right where it’s coming from. For the past 7 years, Kathrin has been living mostly in India and Nepal where she has deepened her knowledge in Ayurveda, yoga, meditation, & energy work.
Anushree Singh
Anushree has graduated with honors in yoga philosophy and specializes as an anatomist and yoga therapist as well as the biomechanics of yoga body and breath. She has been training yoga enthusiasts to understand themselves and there practice for last five years. Her approach towards teaching is friendly as well as firm blending strong tradition knowledge with modern approach. She was introduced to yoga by Doctor Om Anand and her learning still continues from life, as she resides in her Gurus ashram. At present, she is pursuing her research on yoga and the nervous system.
Bine
Bine's passions include running, hiking, track and field, weight training, aerobics, crossfit, etc. She was introduced to yoga in Oct 2012 and then came to India, the birth place of yoga, to learn more about Ayurveda and different yoga styles (Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Hatha & Sivananda) from 2013 - 2015. She currently spends her time between India and Germany, spreading her passion for yoga. Bine feels there is much more to learn through this cross-cultured interaction whose language is yoga. She is engaged in creating and bringing her wonderful energy to TTCs at schools in Germany and Goa, India.
Sarah
Sarah is a keen traveler and first discovered yoga whilst traveling around SE Asia. After a few years living in Australia, she returned to Thailand for her yoga training. For the last 3 years, she founded and ran her own yoga studio in her home country, Scotland. Sarah believes her classes are thoughtful, planned, stimulating and will leave students feeling empowered and eager to return to the mat and that there is a style of yoga suitable for everyone regardless of age, size, and level of fitness. She has over 2000 hours teaching experience and teaches many styles but specializes in Vinyasa.

Palolem Beach is largely unspoiled and is inhabited by both local fishermen and by foreign tourists who live in shacks along the shore or in the main village. The location offers an ideal place to explore the stunning beaches, beautiful local villages, and surrounding nature outside of your retreat schedule. Earth Yoga Village staff members are strongly engaged in making the village more eco-friendly.

The lodge runs partly on solar power and Earth Yoga Village staff members work hard on adding further eco-friendly measures. Connection with nature is vital and they strive towards that connection in every day life and with every action.

At Earth Yoga Village, the staff understand the incredible benefits of nutritious food, as Hippocrates rightly said, and consider food to be a powerful healing tool. By using only fresh, seasonal herbs and vegetables from regional farmers, the daily menu of wonderfully nourishing vegan food supports self-healing of the body, enhances detoxification, and leaves you feeling strong and rejuvenated.

You will have three healthy and wholesome meals per day (Indian, Goan, and Continental), fruit, herbal tea and unlimited filtered drinking water. Everything is made with love! Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.

Apart from the daily schedule, which includes yoga and meditation classes, open discussions about life, and evening activities such as open-mic night, kirtan or Nidra yoga, you are always welcome to explore the beautiful surroundings of Palolem Beach, spend some time sun-bathing, go for a swim, or explore the local village nearby. Additionally, there are many different healing & spa treatments at the village offered.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Goa International Airport (GOI), or more commonly known as Dabolim Airport. Then, continue your journey by other means of transportation. Dabolim Airport is about 67 kilometers away from the village.

Arrival by bus

There are bus services at a regular interval of 30 minutes from the beach to the Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) bus depot in Margao. The nearest KTC deport is in Canacona. The village is located at the north end of the beach near Cozy Nook resort.

Arrival by train

Please book your train to arrive at Canacona station. The nearest railway station is Canacona, which can be reached from Madgoan junction railway station in just 30 minutes.
