Nestled in the heart of the Three Valleys ski area, you will find us tucked away from the bustle of Meribel town, just above the quiet, traditional Savoie village of Les Allues, with stunning snowy views from all directions.

Join us in our beautiful, modern alpine chalet, deliciously designed for relaxation and calm. Salute the sun in the morning as it beams through our large picture windows and cosy up in front of the fire in the evening with tales of the day's adventures.

The chalet includes:

  • All four bedrooms are twins with en suite bathrooms (can be made into doubles)
  • Underfloor heating throughout.
  • Log burner fire in the living room.
  • Beautiful open plan communal space.
  • Scenic mountain views.

Programa

Each retreat is tailored to meet the need of each of the eight individuals taking part. Prior to the date, there will be a pre-retreat questionnaire to discuss what you want to get from the week and how you want to feel when you leave.

Morning practice will always be a strong session, creating heat and energy through the day. The evening session will be calming and nourishing to help you have a balance sleep and feel away from the world.

Yoga practice

The practices are made suitable for all levels, whether you are a complete beginner to the postures and meditation, or a seasoned yogini. Within each session, there will be progressions and challenges to suit your level. No matter what your experience, all participants are all still learning. Embracing this process in a group is a lovely thing, as you will see people move at different levels and overcome different challenges in their bodies.

The styles of yoga you will experience during the week will vary depending on the outcome you are trying to achieve with the session. Majority of your practices will be rooted in Vinyasa flow style sequences, with emphasis on different areas of the body and mind. You will also dive into some Yin yoga at strategic times during the weeks to help you unlock your practice further.

You will all come together on the first evening with a welcome chat and discussion in the communal space. The rest of the week will include two or three sessions a day, with the exception of Wednesday when there will be no lead sessions. The closing practice will be on Friday evening, preparing you for the next day of travel and returning home.

Not all the sessions will be full physical yoga practices. Daily, you will draw upon some self-release techniques, home practice planning, or mindset work to help you really grow your practice for well-being and spend more of every day in yoga. The classes are not compulsory. You make your own decision each day about how long you want to spend on the mat and finding your own balance in your practice.

Sample schedule

Day one

  • 07:00 Morning meditation followed by energizing sun salutation flow
  • 08:20 Breakfast
  • 09:00 Off to hit the pistes, enjoy the freedom of the day to ski, board, walk, or relax
  • 16:00 Afternoon tea
  • 16:45 Après snow yoga to charge your body and mind with a delicious Yin Yang practice
  • 19:00 Dinner
  • 20:15 Intention setting meditation practice

Day five

  • 07:00 Ashtanga led practice (accessible for all levels)
  • 08:20 Breakfast *09:00 Off to hit the pistes
  • 15:00 Join together for yoga in the snow
  • 16:30 Afternoon tea
  • 17:00 Myofascial release session, unwinding, and realigning the body
  • 19:00 Dinner

The yoga teacher has one day off during the week, meaning you can have a lovely lie in!

Alimentos

Healthy and energizing breakfast and afternoon tea are available during your stay. You will also enjoy delicious and freshly prepared three-course dinners on six evenings. The hosts have one evening off during the week for you to explore the local restaurants. The menus are designed around the fresh food that can be sourced locally for each week. Here are a few examples of the type of meals you may enjoy:

Breakfast

Breakfast usually follows a warming morning yoga practice, so it is better to embrace the energy in the body and leave yourself springing through the day.

  • Almond milk porridge with cinnamon
  • Ayurvedic breakfast with millet, sweet spices, ghee or coconut oil, almond milk, and sultana
  • ​Breakfast banana bars
  • Carrot, beetroot, celery, and apple plus a dash of ginger juice
  • Green Juice (spinach, avocado, super green mix, kale, parsley)
  • Homemade oat granola

Afternoon tea

Afternoon tea will be a little boost of energy to keep going till dinner but without that afternoon slump.

  • Courgette and coconut oil brownies
  • Almond and lemon polenta cake
  • Salted caramel energy balls

Dinner

After a long day of snow, sun, and yoga, there is nothing better than a warm and nourishing meal to set you up for an hour in front of the fire and a good night's sleep.

Appetizer

  • Alfalfa inspired colourful mixed salad
  • Grated carrot, beetroot, cashew nut salad with fresh parsley lemon olive oil dressing, and toasted pumpkin seeds
  • Spiralized courgetti spaghetti with fresh homemade pesto and toasted sunflower seeds

Main course

  • Main sweet potato and spinach curry with toasted flaked almonds and fresh coriander
  • Polenta pizza topped with grilled aubergines, tomatoes ancient, peppers, artichokes grated courgette, and fresh herbs with a creamy tahini, lemon dressing, and green salad garnish
  • Quinoa dish with turmeric and ginger mixed with herbed steamed or sautéed seasonable vegetables (haricot verts, chick peas, or sliced chard) and a tahini sauce

Dessert

  • Apricot and mango mousse with almond cream and lime
  • Coconut cream and cashew nut mousse
  • Raw chocolate brownies

Arrival by train

The snowtrain is a great option as it travels from London (and other stations across mainland Europe) straight through to Moutier. If you catch the snow train we will collect you from the station and drop you back off again for your departure.

Arrival by airplane

  • Meribel has really good air access too, with the nearest airports being:
  • Chambery - 1 hours 15 away from the resort
  • Grenoble - 2 hours away
  • Lyon - 2 hours away
  • Geneva - 3 hours away

All the airports are serviced by great public bus or train networks and by private (with shared options) transfer companies.
