The retreats will be held in B&B Berkenrode in Rockanje aan Zee. A small group with up to 4 participants will be accommodated in B&B Berkenrode as well. B&B Berkenrode is a cozy villa with 2 guest rooms located in Rockanje.

Blue room

The blue room has a king-sized twin bed. This warm cozy room is decorated with blue and gold fabrics from the country Bhutan which is located in the Himalayas. There are two rattan armchairs with lovely pillows.

Red room

The red room has two single beds that are each under the sloping side of the roof. At night you will see a starlit roof. The atmospheric red wall is adorned with futuristic paintings of horses. The bathroom has a sink, shower and toilet for the two rooms on the ground floor.

Taupe room

If all the other rooms are booked, the Taupe room can be used. This room is equipped with old oak twin beds, a beautiful antique vanity and a private bathroom done in marble.

Yoga room

The yoga room has large glass walls overlooking the gardens.

Balance Your Life With Ayurveda Retreat Program

Your aim is to rediscover the realm of pure potential of the inner self and its spiritual essence. You will focus particularly on the internal aspects of yoga: organ cleansing, tissue pumps, nervous systems, circulation of lymph and blood, releasing psychic knots known as Granthis from Sushumna Nadi and Pranic blockages from the Nadis, and creating hydraulic and pneumatic pressures within the body to create change. All movements are undertaken with inner conscious awareness, promoting a state of integration of the mind and body.

As you practice this inner yoga style, you reconnect with your inner reservoir of energy, vitality, and creativity. You will return to a younger functioning physical and mental state. Iyengar yoga practices are designed to enhance the qualities of rejuvenation and longevity, to correct postural imbalances, and to create vitality and health while promoting the natural abilities of the body to energize and heal, so that it can realize its own amazing potential.

For participants who are undergoing a yoga teacher training, Balance Your Life With Ayurveda also offers you the opportunity to organize and teach a yoga class during the retreat to improve your teaching skills.

Daily schedule


  • Arrival in the evening
  • 19:00: Welcome drink, afterwards there will be an anamnesis session and brief explanation of the program
  • 22.00: Yoga and meditation session

  • 18.00: Ayurvedic dinner
  • 19.00: Massage
  • 20.00: Enjoy the night together by the fire
  • 22.00: Joint closure with yoga and meditation

Tanja Eisvogel
Tanja is an Ayurvedic practitioner and from a very young age she felt deeply devoted to nature. It was there that she discovered hiking as a powerful practice of meditation and a way to connect with nature. She is practicing Iyengar yoga for over 16 years. Tanja studied at the European Institute for Scientific Research on Ayurveda (EISRA) at The Hague and nowadays she is working at Ayurvedic Clinics in India or Sri Lanka during the winter season.

Rockanje is a town in the Dutch province of South Holland which is situated at sea or along the seaside. It is a part of the municipality of Westvoorne, and lies about 7 km northwest of Hellevoetsluis.
