Take a plunge into the second level of intermediate Ashtanga Vinyasa training with Asan Yoga in Goa, India. Asan Yoga focuses on creating joy and deep passion for teaching yoga. You will experience a life transforming force during the training in a very easy and comfortable way. It also means that you can achieve advance poses or extract the benefits of them very easily with the help of yoga props. On the successful completion of this course, you will be able to adjust your teaching according to the level of your yoga clients.
Asan Yoga’s accommodation has both single and shared room. Depending on the availability, Asan Yoga can arrange any type of rooms. The facilities include hot shower, attached bathrooms, and western toilet. Wi-Fi facility is also available at the school premises.
Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive certificate affiliated with Asan Yoga. Registration with Asan Yoga meets identified standard set by the organization.
This Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher training is available for all Asan Yoga 200-hour graduates and 200-hour registered yoga teachers from other school who have some background in Ashtanga yoga primary series.
If you are a 200-hour graduate from Asan Yoga school, then you are familiar with the names and key alignment points of the poses from Astanga Vinyasa primary series chart and it won’t be difficult for you to take a plunge into the second level of intermediate Ashtanga Vinyasa training.
If you have done your 200-hour training from another school then it is advised that either you book a 30-hour five-day course at Asan Yoga or join an Ashtanga Vinyasa primary series class in your country three months prior to your 300-hour course start, with focus on learning all the Sanskrit and English names of the primary series asanas.
Once you have booked the course, Asan Yoga can provide you with the study material with chart of poses and their names along with a welcome mail, which you’ll receive after paying the booking fee. Asan Yoga also suggests you to take a chat appointment with their course director in order to discuss your state of practice and health condition for further guidance.
It’s meant to take you to a deeper level of physical awareness through the practice of Ashtanga yoga asanas. Asan Yoga will assist you at every stage of building your safe and progressive asana practice.
Anapanasati or Vipassana techniques will be introduced in order to develop mindfulness to your own breath and making it into a daily practice.
This class will focus on developing the necessary skill of teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa led-class and assisting students by adjusting and supporting them during their practice.
In this section of the training, you will be going through the study of anatomy in more details of applied anatomy, especially in the field of human locomotors system or muscular-skeletal structure and other necessary topics for becoming a safe yoga teacher.
Applied anatomy classes will also be combined with applied physiology and biomechanics of asanas. This class is a doorway to injury-free yoga.
A series of set Vinyasa flow sequence will be taught to you so that you can learn the art of sequencing and create your own Hatha Vinyasa flow when you start working as a yoga teacher.
You will be given opportunity to assist, support, and mentor 200-hour yoga teacher training students.
Karma is something you do without awareness and it creates bondage or leaves a scar or pattern in your mind. Kriya is something done with your totality and awareness. Asan Yoga will teach you yogic kriyas to break the unconscious patterns of behavior and bring about a transformation in your life. These kriyas are known as cleansing processes and will be taught in details.
Patanjali is the founder of yoga philosophy and he is the first person who documented the practice of yoga in a very systematic, scientific, and organized way in his book called Yoga Sutra of Patanjali.
Learning the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali is the core of becoming a yoga teacher. The first two chapters will be taught to you in your 200-hour yoga teacher training course. During 300-hour yoga teacher training course, those chapters will be revised and the third and fourth chapters will be taught. Some other texts such as Bhagavadgita and Vingyanbhairav Tantra will also be introduced.
In context of pranayama, kriya, and asana Hatha yoga Pradipika and Gherada Samhita texts will be quoted and explained.
Asan Yoga will observe your teaching skills and when they see that you are ready to take a full class, then you will get an opportunity to stand facing your classmates and lead a class of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, but before that final presentation you will get many opportunity to teach in a small group with three to four people.
There will be written assessment in philosophy and anatomical reflection of yoga poses. You will also receive some written assignments during the course which must be delivered by the end of the course.
Different kinds of active and passive meditations are practiced at the end of the day. Evening meditations are important part of the course. Sometimes, you will practice trataka, candle gazing, moon gazing, sunset watching, Kundalini meditation, some social meditation where you interact with other group members, whirling meditation, and many more techniques of mediation.

This yoga teacher training will be held in India. Asan Yoga School in Goa is located near Naga Cottage in Vitthalwada, Morjim in North Goa.

Asan Yoga serves organic Sattvik food to all. Three meals a day will be provided. The food price is included in the total fees.
