Vinyasa, also called flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together, is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga. It’s a broad classification that encompasses many different types of yoga. Flow classes string poses together to make a sequence. This retreat is for those that want to decelerate their daily lives and take a break, literally. Break from doing, break from thinking, break from everything that doesn’t allow you to focus on the present moment.

Akasha Wellness Retreat is a large open lounge and diner which will allow all guests, teachers, and friends to come together and socialize, laugh, play, and explore creative pursuits together. The gorgeous mountain views, garden, and terraces are the kindest gift nature has given them, and they in return offer them to you. Each of the guest bedrooms is special and has handmade decorative items, a blend of modern romantic with natural elements from the environment.
You will stay in individual bedrooms on a single or double occupancy basis (friends or a couple sharing a large queen bed).
These bedrooms are for two guests sharing one room. Some of the twin bedrooms have private balconies and you can enjoy the beautiful mountain views.
This room can be occupied by one person on single occupancy or two people on double occupancy in one large queen-size bed. The double bedrooms are cozy and comfortable, decorated in a cream / mint design offering an oasis of calm. The bedrooms also have private balconies with beautiful views across the valley and mountains.
This room can be occupied by one person on single occupancy or two people on double occupancy in one large queen-size bed. The queen bedrooms are the most spacious and decadent bedrooms. The private rooms can be booked for single use if you prefer to have your own bedroom or for double occupancy if you decide to bring a partner or a friend along.
The rooms are tastefully decorated and feature floor to ceiling windows and glorious mountain views. Also, there is plenty of room for your own yoga practice should you still have the energy.
Morning practice consists of 90 minutes of yoga asana and pranayama and 30 minutes of sitting meditation or chanting. Morning practice is followed by a daily chakra balancing juice before breakfast. Evening practice consists of 60 minutes of yoga and pranayama and 30 minutes of sitting meditation.
Optional evening group activities include movie nights, group games, hang out nights, live musicians both local folk, and Kirtan chanting nights.
Every morning until breakfast time and one full morning until noon, you will practice a silent retreat. This is a powerful tool to connect with yourself, pick a good book and explore the true benefits of being on the retreat. This is your time.
This retreat will take place in Transylvania, Romania.
During this retreat, you will be served three organic vegan and vegetarian meals daily. Upon booking your retreat, you will be asked about your diet preferences and Akasha Wellness Retreat can cater for special diets such as lactose or gluten intolerance. All meals are at set times in the dining area and are shared among all guests and teachers.
The menu consists of a combination of Romanian vegan dishes and western. A typical breakfast and lunch are buffet style consisting of organic produce such as porridge, chia seed smoothie bowl, fruits, brown rice, quinoa, sweet potato, salads, homemade whole grain bread, and many more mouthwatering dishes.
For dinner, Akasha Wellness Retreat offers a sit-down family style meal with hot soups, lentils, stuffed peppers, vegan sarmale, polenta, and much more.
You will also be served chakra balancing super food juices and smoothies daily during this retreat.
During free time and spa therapies, you are free to spend your time as you want. The options are massage therapies and salt baths which are booked and paid separately.
There are workshops dedicated to improving practice which is booked and paid separately for those that want to further their practice or maybe set a personal practice flow. This may include yoga alignment workshop, Acro yoga, Kundalini or Thai massage workshop.
Please book your flight to arrive at Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP). You may also book your flight to arrive at Sibiu International Airport (SBZ). From the airport, you may take the train which goes straight to Brașov railway station. Akasha Wellness Retreat facilitates pick up from Brașov City on the day of arrival at the retreat for those who would anticipate arriving early. Akasha Wellness Retreat can also help you with trains or taxis from the airport to Brașov or to the retreat.
