This is more than your regular yoga-beach-repeat retreat. My guru always told me: 'Take care of yoga for 2 hours a day, and yoga will take care of you for the other 22 hours.' This retreat is specifically designed to help fix the issue of this century - computer shoulders and cell-phone necks, and to manage any kind of back pain - from lumbago to neck sprains.
In only 7 days you'll obtain priceless knowledge of osteopathy and self-massage. You'll become acquainted with a unique set of Japanese and Chinese methods to cure back pain, as well as yoga asanas, acupressure mats, and other techniques used by ancient gurus and yogis in India for healing. You will reboot energy, send fresh blood to the right directions, break old incorrect patterns of sitting, standing and walking, and create an overall awareness of the body alignment. This knowledge you can carry off the mat, into your life.
Most importantly, you don’t have to be good at it, you just need to finally show up for yourself and start paving the path to a healthy body and quiet mind today.
Stay in one of nine large, private rooms with breathtaking panoramic terrace views. Resting behind rooms is the Mexican Sierra Madre Mountains. Each room is a Mexican ‘palapa’ structure with typical high ceilings made of tropical hardwoods thickly covered with dried palm leaves. This type of construction respects and honors the regional identity endemic to Oaxacan coastal architecture.

The Zazil can be found in the charming little beach village of San Agustinillo on the Pacific coast of the state of Oaxaca in Southern Mexico. The area of San Agustinillo and Mazunte is considered a "Magical Village" (Pueblo Mágico) since 2015. It is a privileged destination to enjoy the Pacific coast among history, culture, and nature. The combination of half-empty beaches and moderate prices makes this up-and-coming area very attractive for travelers, who are looking for a safe journey but ready to explore beyond the popular Mexican beach areas.
The Zazil Retreat is set in a quiet, relaxed hilltop along the sea awash with gentle breezes of fresh sea air against a thick canopy of trees, hidden from eyes of locals and visitors, but within a seven-minute walk to the beach, the main street, and restaurants. Rise to birds chirping and rest at night to the soft sounds waves and crickets. Zazil is a place to harmonize your senses with all the effects of the natural surroundings.
